Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Brand Alley has park candles half price. (No idea what they're like but thought they might help those who missed out in the neon ones).

XiCi · 10/11/2020 09:00

Thanks IggyAce I had some pyjamas in my basket I'd been dithering about

Limeavocado · 10/11/2020 09:06

Amazon have quite a few seemingly half decent deals today if people want to compare prices, ones I saw that looked potentially useful were nintendo switch console, yankee candle set, lottie brownie canoe set (this latter is half price). If I see anymore I’ll post but I’m afraid I just can’t work out how to do the links from one app to the other and meant to only be having a quick scan before I start work! (famous last words)

allthingsred · 10/11/2020 09:07

noodledoodler · 10/11/2020 09:34

@PinkDaydreams is the recipient a regular bourbon drinker? What one do they usually drink? Some of them can be light and sweet some more deep flavour and there are lots of flavours such as apple or honey to try if they are adventurous. What is price point? Some do great offers if you watch for them. Jim beam on offer in asda at the moment both 1l and 70cl bottles.

Sunshineskies · 10/11/2020 09:34

exploding kittens £11.99 on amazon. Sorry if it’s already been posted, haven’t caught up yet!

PinkDaydreams · 10/11/2020 09:45

DH likes bourbon, hates scotch.
In the past I have bought him green spot, yellow spot, tin cup, bullet. He likes Jameson's as well.
Thank you Smile
Apologies if spelt incorrectly, I keep seeing whisky and whiskey!

I have a code for £20 off the velvetiser if anyone would like it. Someone very kindly gave me one before so I don’t need it Smile

Ewock · 10/11/2020 10:02

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl

Snapfish are offering 30% off with no minimum spend, 50% off orders over £35 - code EARLY1120 is valid until 15/11.

If anyone has any Scottish whisky recommendations for a whisky-loving Scottish friend, I'd be really interested to hear about them!

Asda have Bowmore 12yr old for £25 rather than £40. I picked up a bottle for my dad yesterday. It's a very nice whiskey.
Lellyo · 10/11/2020 10:17

Living Social have How To Be A Taco Legend for £19 & £3.95 p&p

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 10/11/2020 10:32

@bookish83 If you search for something included in the deal it says it on the item. Eg when I search for Sally Hansen Nail Polish www.boots.com/sally-hansen/sally-hansen-nail-treatment
Hope that helps! Smile

TheGirlWhoLived · 10/11/2020 10:43

I’m getting round to starting wrapping now... had confirmation of the ickabog being delivered today and that’s the last thing ticked off my list!! (Until the twitch gets me around Black Friday Sad Grin)

I’ve found these personalised tote bags with ‘Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year from TheGirlWhoLived’ from an Etsy seller which are fab as reusable wrapping and only £3 with free delivery not really sure How to go about asking for them back though.

So I might order a couple more as reusable gift bags for bottles of wine etc, and have the bag as a reusable gift too? Which do you think is a better idea?

luckiestgirl · 10/11/2020 10:47

buckeejit · 10/11/2020 11:07

Hammocks!

Can't remember who asked but the parachute silk ones are fab. We have 2 ticket to the moon hammocks which are fab. Stands are massive, if there's a couple of points about 9ct apart that you could attach it to, it would be easier, tree, wall etc. They have stands on the site too though. Being in my hammock is one of my favourite things 😁

I bought friends dc a cheaper one on amazon that looks good too

PerditaNitt · 10/11/2020 11:09

@WisestIsShe both my boys have loved playing with a baby Stella. It is about £25 in jojo but you may be able to find it cheaper. Quality is lovely. I think aldi did copies a couple of years back but I haven’t seen them this year.
