Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

polkadotpjs · 09/11/2020 20:48

Please can someone tell me the Neom candle deal? I want them for my birthday so shall buy them and advise DH I have done so
Also please can I nominate "rejection candies" for the next thread title?!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 09/11/2020 20:53

@riotlady, I used these gorgeous little nail varnishes (the bottles' faces have different expressions, super cute) in my dd's calendar a couple of years ago and they're still going strong. She painted my nails with one a few days ago!

There are enough to do an entire varnish calendar or you could keep some aside for other gifts and add in hair accessories, lip balms etc for a bit of variety.

buckeejit · 09/11/2020 20:54

@polkadotpjs google qvc neom & buy the 3 set (2 variety sets to choose from). First grab a referral code from the referrals thread to get £10 off. Wait. Smell. Enjoy!

jocktamsonsbairn · 09/11/2020 20:54

If you go onto the referrals page you'll get money off by using someone's referral code. Then it's 3 candles for about £30 odd (can't remember the exact price but with postage they were about £10 each). Candles are lovely and will make great gifts.

Clementine8 · 09/11/2020 21:04

@BalaamsAss have a look at this site, i’ve used her before and she does some lovely bits including personalised keyrings.

TheCrow · 09/11/2020 21:13

@riotlady if you have a superdrug health and beauty card they do free delivery on orders over £10

Notlongnow1 · 09/11/2020 21:16

Bit niche but don't suppose anyone can recommend a heated vest/gilet that you plug power-pack into? Husband wants one for fishing but so many and (a bit like the fake oodies!) lots use same pics so I have no idea what the 'real' ones even are!

riotlady · 09/11/2020 21:27

Thanks everyone! Got free delivery at Superdrug and they had quite a few 3 for 2 and buy one get one half price deals on, so I got 3 nail varnishes, 2 nail files, 2 face masks and 2 flavoured lip balms for £16 :)

Gurufloof · 09/11/2020 21:33

@Dreamingofwalden hell I've looked at marriages and everything is out of stock. Plenty of time til Christmas I can wait. The cost of flour wont break my bank account and I want to encourage the new hobby. Thanks all. Apart from the flour I'm fixed for Christmas now and very happy about that. Still gonna stalk the threads see if I want anything, plus I have some birthdays right after.

deeplybaffled · 09/11/2020 21:34

@Notlongnow1 - I got one from amazon on the strength of a recommendation here but haven’t tried it yet. It was called the dillitop electric vest and someone had a code which brought it to half price.
I bought it on 27 Oct ish so if you check the thread for around that date, the code might still work - sorry, I can’t remember it

beadyboo · 09/11/2020 21:53

Can anyone recommend a hammock with a stand for DH? During the summer he often made a “den” on the kids trampoline to read in the evening sun. Due to excessive lockdown use, the trampoline is no more, so thought a hammock would be a good idea. They range in price and reviewed quality massively.
Would love a recommendation and a bargainous one would be even better.

BuzzyBee83 · 09/11/2020 22:01

Minecraft annual is back at £3.50 on Amazon. Thanks for all the bargains so far!

Tigger83 · 09/11/2020 22:03

If anyone has any Scottish whisky recommendations for a whisky-loving Scottish friend, I'd be really interested to hear about them!

makingmiracles · 09/11/2020 22:09

@TimeToCloseTheDoor thanks so much for finding the pillow code for me, I wasn’t sure how far back it was as the threads move so fast and i had to wfh today prepping for a assessment next week so before i knew it it was time to go pick the ids up, the day just vanished. Unfortunately the code didn’t work the second time round but I’ve saved on my later list in hoe they go back down again! Slept like a baby last night, so comfy so thank you for your original heads up!

Duckyneedsaclean · 09/11/2020 22:11

My old man 9 year old has asked for a towelling robe - I'm having no luck finding one that isn't £30! Shopping ninjas can you help?

Freshcoatofpaint · 09/11/2020 22:13

Do White Company ever do discounts? I've not bought from them before but eying up their skincare products for my sister...

makingmiracles · 09/11/2020 22:14

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl I don’t drink it but the other half does and says a single malt is usually nicer than blended. he really enjoys Dura which is from a small island off the coast of Scotland and its in a gold coloured box, Sainsbury’s sometimes have it on offer so it goes from £22 i think it is down to £12 for a 35cl bottle, they have offers on the bigger bottle too.

Not sure how niche you want it or how much you are going to spend but he said Jura is one of his favourites.

Puffalicious · 09/11/2020 22:17

Ducky

My DS had this one in a different pattern, was great.john Lewis towelling robe

Elpheba · 09/11/2020 22:17

Crocs have 30% off site wide and free shipping. They also have some surprisingly amusing jibbitz on sale for £1.11 (don’t get free shipping sadly if only buying them) so got a ramen one as a joke pressie for DH’s stocking. Only useful of course if you all have the worlds comfiest shoe for home wear 😁

makingmiracles · 09/11/2020 22:18

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl just looked and amazon have got the 70cl at a great price, even beating Asda’s offer on it!
