Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@PerditaNitt thanks! I hadn't thought of ikea

MsMiaWallace · 09/11/2020 17:35

@InDreamland ooo you've bought before?
Is it as good as it looks?

Scout2016 · 09/11/2020 17:44

Oh my word, struggling to breathe after opening my Neom candles. Shock I went for the de-stress and get energised set and they are for my sister. I'm not a scents person - so glad you guys are all saying you like them because I would've had my doubts.

InDreamland · 09/11/2020 17:51

@MsMiaWallace oh yes! We usually keep one for us (well mainly DH but I can have the vegan friendly ones) and then take the other to whoever hosts us on Christmas day and they always really love it and go on about it throughout the year. I'm just in 2 minds because we're hosting Christmas day this year as long as we're allowed and I've ordered us quite a bit of chocolate from F&M already as a treat because it's been such a weird year (and I got 5% back on my amex card). Decisions decisions ......... if I don't order it though I'll probably regret it.

MsMiaWallace · 09/11/2020 18:00

Lol yes! It does seem an amazing deal!

sorryiasked · 09/11/2020 18:03

Those that got the Neom candles, were they packaged ok? Mine were really bashed and will have to go back as I wanted to give them as gifts. Looked like I'd picked them up in a charity shop

XiCi · 09/11/2020 18:14

SnotRockets they had gin miniature and glass, Bombay sapphire I think in Home Bargains this weekend really cheap. Think was £2.99

XiCi · 09/11/2020 18:15

Also had a famous grouse whisky one and Taylor's port set.

HoHoHolyMackerel · 09/11/2020 18:21

Is there any hope for a discount at George asda? Seen something I want but obviously would love some money off.. Is it worth waiting do you think?

Gurufloof · 09/11/2020 18:45

My cake mixes have arrived, those for a tenner. Really quite nice. I'm going to be making them over the next few weeks. If they taste good I will buy more.
On to my actual question, a relative is now into bread making due to first lockdown, so I thought a kit with different flours would be a great idea. Anyone recommend one? Price not a huge problem, or should I visit a supermarket and buy several and make a basket up?

Fanceeepant · 09/11/2020 18:49

25% off Fake Oodies on amazon early deals. They look really good

WhereTheresAHill · 09/11/2020 19:04

@Gurufloof Doves Farm do a mixed box of flours, also nice ideas would be a good lame (for slashing the bread), banneton (for proving) or bag to store the finished bread in

Gurufloof · 09/11/2020 19:09

Cheers @whereTheresAHill found the mixed box and it's only £15. Not bad. What's a lame? Happy to buy one dunno what it is.

Tiredpigeon · 09/11/2020 19:13

@Spiderbee I recommend Gear4music.com keyboards...around £30 but good size and they have excellent customer service. They also well the key stickers for beginners.

winewolfhowls · 09/11/2020 19:19

Arthien · 09/11/2020 19:23

Just got a code for 10% off at Whistlefish when you spend over £20 on cards, wrap or gifts - RETURN10. Better codes for more discount may be available occasionally but just in case someone was planning a Christmas card order or something.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 09/11/2020 19:39

Has anyone seen a decent Sock Shop code knocking about, please?

TheLastStarfighter · 09/11/2020 19:40

“ They have copied the oodie photos- so not sure what to will get”

The photos in the reviews look pretty good. I decided to bit the bullet and try one 🐑 🐑 🐑 (the real Oodies are all out of stock until after Xmas anyway)
