Thought I'd start a thread for the excuses M&S have given for lack of delivery for the Christmas gin hampers.

@NoWordForFluffy sorry I meant I rang m&s and the guy on the phone said dhl had refused to accept the delivery their end and put a note on the m&s system that it was damaged. Couldn’t explain why the tracking the day before had said it was with them and out for delivery all he said was dhl keep sending them confusing updates 🙄

I have messaged dhl on Facebook messenger tho so we shall see what happens there

Mine was going to a parcel shop. So I just rang them and they said they probably did refuse it as DHL are shit and too much hassle. So now I've no idea what's going on! Or how to get my bloody gin.

Is it regional where the lost bottles are? I'm wondering if a palette got smashed or something. I'm in the NW and got mine but 2 friends didnt!

Hi all, I’m another one still waiting for my clementine gin (but have received my rhubarb one). DHL has said delayed since the 4th. I contacted M&S through Facebook and they didn’t even bother to give me an excuse, they just said it was delayed and I should keep checking the tracking link! 🙄 Contacted DHL and waiting for them to get back to me.
I’m in SE too.

DHL just got back to me saying they haven’t received it from M&S and I need to contact them, I can feel my chances of receiving it going down the drain...

@PattyPan, how did you contact DHL? They're not replying to me at all.

I'm currently tweeting every 30 mins or so to try to get somebody to answer me!

M&S have now sent me a refund I don’t want my money back, I want my gin!

I just want DHL to tell me where my fucking parcel is.

Ooh. It's apparently coming tomorrow. Won't hold my breath!

Apparently 'refused on delivery' wasn't a code for broken. The shop actually did refuse it (as they told me they had). Why DHL just left the parcel in their warehouse instead of contacting me, however, is beyond me!

Anyway, until it's here, I'm not going to count my chickens. They could still break it yet!

Someone's selling an empty bottle on eBay for a fiver. Has anyone though of making their own?
