Thought I'd start a thread for the excuses M&S have given for lack of delivery for the Christmas gin hampers.

Not to mention they've had our money for quite some time now! To then offer cloak and dagger games in replacement of good customer service is just bizarre.

Lol I was thinking the same re: chargeback. I'm not overly worried as I'm sure they will end up refunding it but it's just annoying they can't be honest about it, or if it truly is delayed why they can't again email to say that....

Does anyone have Twitter? Wonder if they would respond on there?
I understand alot of their customer service staff will be working at home so won't be getting memos, or team chat about how they've all had twenty calls about gin but still, there must be ways of managers informing staff of issues?

My clementine gin package was due for delivery last Thursday. Nothing received. Online chat on Friday refunded my delivery charge and said it was due for delivery today. We will see.

After reading this thread I checked my orders. It's not even showing in my M&S account so I went back to the online chat. They said the order is still live and offered a refund as the package is out of stock. I refused the refund and have requested that they don't do anything to cancel the order without my permission. I'm not in a hurry and can wait until the end of the month or so to see if it arrives. Again, we will see.

I ordered the clementine one. Due for delivery by 5th, arrived on 4th. Didn’t u pack straight away and noticed on Friday the box was damp, turns out the bottle was cracked and slowly leaking. Messaged them on Facebook and was told they will reorder for me and will be here by 12th. Had an email just now to say it’s been despatched-watch this space!

Well.....after offering to resend my order they have emailed and said they can't as it is out of stock.

They have refunded me in full for BOTH hampers and given me a £10 gift voucher! Happy days 🙈

Oooh I hope they refund my full order, not just the two I haven't received!!

The only down side is MIL has lost her gin globe Xmas pressie unless I can persuade myself to be generous and part with mine

Wahhhh gin gate continues. This is my replacement package. The Prosecco fortunately seems to be in one piece

I'm not sure they've done a very good job with packaging them!

I ordered 2 clementine gin hampers. The first arrived on 3rd November and all was well. The second arrived on the 4th but the bottle was cracked and leaking. I rang customer services and they refunded me immediately. I’m quite happy as I managed to salvage about three quarters of the gin and still have the Prosecco and nuts 😊

I’ve had a refund. The Prosecco and nuts still look fine & I didn’t really need any more gin I just like a bargain!

Well guess what?. .. my gin has arrived and on first inspection, in tact. .... theres hope yet🙏
