With this lockdown stuff I can think of no better distraction than Christmas! Online present hunting will he even more important right now too.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

This thread is making my head spin Grin definitely glitchy for me. Although double the bargains means I mightn’t miss some!

DillieDoily · 03/11/2020 23:09

Home bargains had Totes socks in a Christmas bauble for only £1.59- the ladies ones have a lovely rainbow pattern and the men's ones have a Christmas design- great little extras/stocking fillers/teachers gifts etc. The RRP label on them says £5

Huh I went to check out my stuff at Tiger and I'm just getting a blank screen now too Sad

Let's place bets how many times this post will appear? I'll for for 4...

EvilHerbivore · 03/11/2020 23:18

Girls lynx set

Good for stocking fillers or if anyone is doing a refuge/charity Christmas box maybe?

My twin one year olds were fighting over their brother’s ball tonight so I thought I would order them a ball each for their stockings.

Found these bargainous Oballs on Amazon - they’re quite soft when lobbed at you. [Bright Starts Oball Classic Easy-Grasp Toy - Red/Blue/Green/Yellow www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ZRD99C0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ujEOFbE4G9D4C?tag=mumsnetforu03-21 Oballs]]

Just wanted to say thank you to @CoffeeAndEnnui for the Star Trek stamps tip off. That's my brothers last present! Thanks.
Apologies if you all already know this, but just spotted in the “what have you bought today” thread that Tiger have an online site! I’m very excited about this as we head into Lockdown

www.flyingtiger-sharethelove.co.uk/product-category/christmas/
Can’t see where you can buy things online, where do you look please?

TheLastStarfighter · 04/11/2020 00:14

@GarlicSoup seems to be something wrong with their site. Earlier this evening I was able to add things to a basket, but now it’s just a blank page. Maybe try tomorrow?

Sexlessinthirties · 04/11/2020 00:26

Had anyone ever used this website

www.thegiftandgadgetstore.com/page/3/?s=Craft&post_type=product

As there's something I really want but it seems too cheap which is making me suspicious (and it's out of stock elsewhere) and reviews of the website aren't great...

Ruralretreating · 04/11/2020 00:48

Thanks for the ball link @Dreamingofwalden, it’s nice to find something DC3(1) hasn’t already got as a hand-me-down from her brothers especially at such a great price

Will do thanks @TheLastStarfighter

slithytoveisascientist · 04/11/2020 01:18

Does anyone have a discount for m and s please?

xoxogossipgirl2020 · 04/11/2020 05:06
@Reastie is the thread title supposed to say 'brief' or am I having a lockdown brain moment & misunderstanding? 😂🙈
I’m assuming it should read “bit of” and it’s autocorrected to “but if” 👌🏻

xoxogossipgirl2020 · 04/11/2020 05:08

Does anybody know of any “cool” (????) wireless Xbox controllers/head sets (maybe ones that light up, or ?) I can’t seem to find anything wireless or indeed much with relevant reviews and I would have thought this sort of thing would be popular 😩

Betsy86 · 04/11/2020 05:21

5x Nectar points on purchases at Argos from now until 17th November!!!!

runningpink · 04/11/2020 05:42

@Sexlessinthirties I was about to come on and ask the same question about that site.

Hopefully someone will have some feedback 🤞🏻

Reastie · 04/11/2020 06:06

😂😂😂 I just realised my thread title typos. That’s hilarious! See that’s what happens when you have a 1yo attacking you as you do it and you can’t see properly what you’re doing. I shoukd do a fun competition to see if anyone can actually work out what I was trying to say!

Yes I think it shoukd be ‘bit of’. I meant to put something about escapism in the lockdown but had to set it up quick with ds being a pickle. It’s not a brilliant title, sorry, but I was under pressure 😁

@Reastie most of my posts are written when feeding a wriggly one year old so I get ya. You had me at escapism though. Thanks for offering us a little bubble Smile

Amazon have 30% off their Bomb cosmetics gifts sets today. Some really pretty sets that would be especially good for teen DDs.

Just a quick note of thanks from me, too, these threads are a little joy bubble every day and I enjoy so much the anticipation of presents and Christmas.

TheRosariojewels · 04/11/2020 07:21

I just got an email from Powell craft for an extra 20% off their outlet with the code 20EXTRA20

They have lots of nice bits, especially for younger children.

Me too, when I’m fed up of reading/hearing about covid I come to the Christmas threads to cheer me up. A little bit of normality and fun during a very odd time of confusion.
