With this lockdown stuff I can think of no better distraction than Christmas! Online present hunting will he even more important right now too.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

sugarplumfairy2010 · 06/11/2020 21:29

Don't have a discount code @Serg but this page do chocolate Christmas houses a bit cheaper. We had one last year and the kids loves it. The snowmen are great too.

I’m just going to buy the chocolate at Tesco and use the Cadbury’s instructions to build our own.

TheLastStarfighter · 06/11/2020 21:36

@Famousthehero

15% discount at books2door until tomorrow night with code NEWSLETTER15

They're one of the book people type sites. Somebody mentioned a few threads ago that they are looking for books on CD packs, which I saw they sell.

Thank you @Famousthehero!

I was going to get some things from there anywhere so got an extra 15% discount, which is great. They have some great deals on, and in the "young adult" section, although they are more just regular fiction than what I would think of as young adult.

I scored lovely looking cloth-bound boxed sets of

HG Wells set of 6
Jane Austin set of 6
Bronte set of 6

I nearly bought The Art of War but got over myself Wink

And got This interesting set which looks like it would be good either for my brother or my son, but not sure which yet.

I popped a referrals code on the referrals thread as I know someone was looking for one.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 06/11/2020 21:36

Vodafone Code

VMAGXH9GRYV8

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 06/11/2020 21:37

I know this was covered a few threads ago but a search hasn't helped.
Which oodie type things on amazon were good quality?

Justonemorecup81 · 06/11/2020 21:39

Another Vodafone code:

TheLastStarfighter · 06/11/2020 21:47

@Shufflebum If it's photobox, it might be easier to buy a credit and then do it at your leisure. They've got up to 70% off credits in the offer at the moment. You buy the credit, apply it to your account, and then you have up to a month to use it to create the thing.

It was the Sienna one on Amazon, but it seems to get mixed reviews - some arrive lovely and fluffy and cosy and some arrive really thin...

Perfect!

Just ordered 2 x decorate a snowman, which are actually much better!

@Emma10702

Has anyone returned anything to Penhaligons & got a refund? I sent a couple of bits back as I over ordered and can’t get any response. Reviews about customer service aren’t great either. I’ll stalk them until they respond but it’s frustrating!
I’ve had a terrible time with them. Ordered on 2/10 and one item was smashed the other wasn’t fit for gifting. Emails went ignored, called the helpline and left a message before leaving messages on their Facebook account. They are replacing the items but I’m yet to receive them so I’ll give them a few more days to arrive before getting in touch with them again
Shufflebum · 06/11/2020 22:04

Thanks I’ll try that!

Shufflebum · 06/11/2020 22:05

Thank you @TimeToCloseTheDoor I've wanted to try one of those pillows for ages but couldn't bare the price!

waitforitwaitforit · 06/11/2020 22:17

I read on here that Victoria's Secret body sprays are a teen must have? Is this correct, teen girl experts? And if so what variety? I'm trying to shop for a teen girl that I don't know, and aiming to get a mix of 'nice' things and nice but cheap fillers, so any suggestions will be very gratefully received. Smile

Famousthehero · 06/11/2020 22:26

@TheLastStarfighter ooh amazing finds! Feel like I want those graphic explanations books for me...

CoffeeAndCake3 · 06/11/2020 22:29

For those buying the oodie (fake or not) can I ask actually how 'practical' they are to wear... Daft question maybe, but they look massive and quite long (I know that's the appeal!) . I'd love one to lounge about in, they look fantastic for doing not a lot, but I have a three and a one year old so I spend alot of time sat on the floor playing with toys. I'm wondering if I then have to cook, or do eleventy billion other things whether they become cumbersome?

Pawpawpaws · 06/11/2020 22:38

If anyone is looking for a White Company code I’ve had a 15% discount email, use code W138Y6
Thanks for sharing all the bargains, particularly the QVC ones - I spent the day debating whether to go for the Elemis set or the Neom candles as I used a £10 referral code from the referral thread for new customers, went for the candles in the end and as I’ve never had Neom before I’m really excited to try them.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 06/11/2020 22:40

@CoffeeAndCake3

I have a genuine Oodie and it’s huge, so thick, soft and cuddly. It’s perfect for lying in bed snuggling watching tv etc and very warm. But I do find it super impractical if I need to do things eg. go toilet, wash up, make dinner etc. It’s just too big and does get in the way. Plus I worry about spoiling it! So I end up taking it off when I’m moving around the house doing things. But it is brilliant to snuggle in and relax.

We bought DD an Amazon one and it’s a lot thinner but still warm so she is able to wear it around the house and be more active while wearing it more comfortably if that makes sense? I’m actually now tempted to buy myself an Amazon one to wear around the house and then use my other one as I do now in bed.

Hope this waffling helps! Smile
