Went online today and you can pre-book your collection slot. Nothing really different to last year, was hoping for a new yummy dessert but at least they had Christmas Colin!

Who the hell just orders gravy!
I was just thinking this. And the gravy is pretty crap, the year I bought it I had to ponce it up with port etc, it's not very nice. I dont believe there's many people that will queue on xmas eve to pick up just a pot of their gravy!

Just put an order in - mainly for Colin! Also got the Brie en croute and profiterole dessert for Christmas Eve and the nut roast for Christmas day.

I was bemused as well, and I am not sure not making it available is sensible. It’s already a nightmare in the shop, at least with the food collection there is a bit more crowd control.

I thought the selection looked good this year! We have gone for the short rib of beef, salmon, the giant sausage roll, a few of the pretty musical biscuits tins and a Christmas Colin

Thanks for the tip! Never ordered from M&S before. We've done Waitrose a few times but as a special treat we decided to try M&S... to be honest the christmas Collin swayed it for me. He looks adorable! Have ordered the whole Christmas Dinner and it such a relief to know it is done. 🙂

Just ordered our turkey and a couple of other bits but I’m disappointed by the quantities of everything. I think most of us will be having much smaller gatherings with just our households, so on average between 2 and 6 people but most of what’s on offer is huge amounts. Previous years I order for 12 but only 3 or 4 this year. I don’t want meat or pies that would feed a football team. Rant over 😬

Oh and I got a Christmas Eve slot no problem. All slots were available.

I was very disappointed. I used to order loads of party food as well and they don't allow it now

I wouldn’t be without my M&S Christmas meat now 🤤 We got the 3 bird roast last year and OMG it was so good! I’m due on the 29th this year so just me and my partner and something smaller as I’ll be the size of a house haha

Liking the optimism Smile. So nice to be looking forward to Christmas, no matter what form it will take this year.

As a pp said though, I do worry, maybe not about lockdown (when you can get food) but isolation. If you are supposed to be in isolation you will not be allowed under the rules to go inside the store and collect your Christmas food, if I understand correctly Confused. I think it is safer to buy your Christmas things for delivery/collection earlier and put in the freezer, perhaps?

FFS, all the desserts say "not suitable for nut allergy sufferers" Angry
