Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

Lovely New Thread and Title Xmas Grin

CrazyBaubles · 04/09/2020 12:59

Hi on the new thread! Wonder how many threads we'll hit this year? would be less if we could stop the trolls

Hope no one minds, I closed the last thread before I missed it. Back to work now 😴

NoWordForFluffy · 04/09/2020 13:11

I'm going for 13-14 threads. We tend to pick up pace nearer to the big day.

There's no pic of Bruce in his vest Xmas Sad

pussycatinboots · 04/09/2020 13:14

I take it 20 would be a bit OTT? Xmas Blush

WreckTangled · 04/09/2020 13:27

I saw selection boxes in asda Xmas Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 04/09/2020 13:28

Thank you to Fluffy for the new thread and to Crazy for filling up the old thread.

I still haven't done the name labels on the uniform. I'm away to do them now...

WreckTangled · 04/09/2020 13:39

I've just written on ds' bits with a sharpie. They're going into school in their pe kit on pe days so I don't really need to label much just jumpers and wellies I think.

CrazyBaubles · 04/09/2020 13:42

Pics of BW in his vest just for you puss, with one of my counter offer film whenever DH wants to watch Die Hard Xmas Grin

Crazy ah, that's better. The Fred isn't the same without Bruce in his vest! Xmas Grin although you have sneaked Mel Gibson in too, which is worrying... Xmas Hmm

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 04/09/2020 13:51

Thanks fluffy :)
It's Friday and my Filofax has arrived. Can't wait to get home to play with it.

Ordered a gingerbread hot chocolate which should hopefully arrive tomorrow. Hopefully it feels nice as seasonal :)

What are everyone's plans for the weekend? We are going to Llangedfedd Reservoir tomorrow. Also need to finish off preparation for DS' start at school.

Will post a pic of my cross stitch later. It is progressing much more slowly now I am back in work.

WreckTangled · 04/09/2020 13:52

I want a Filofax. I'm going to put it on my Christmas list.

pussycatinboots · 04/09/2020 13:59

I had a filofax in the late 80s/early 90s Blush

WreckTangled · 04/09/2020 14:03

I had a Filofax jr. Grin

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 04/09/2020 14:29

Most my plans for the weekend are cleaning tomorrow then working on Sunday, although it is my daughter's 20th birthday on Sunday as well.

Pearsapiece · 04/09/2020 14:34

I'm going to try and keep up with this thread this time, I tend to dip in and out.
Bloody love Xmas and strictly is the run up for me, and with the participants being announced at the moment, it's starting to feel festive!
We've got a new sofa arriving at the end of the month which will be really nice and cosy (our first corner sofa!).
We've also got the perfect Xmas tree spot all prepped with our lounge reshuffle!
Looking out for the Halloween chocs before the Xmas ones though!

NoWordForFluffy · 04/09/2020 14:37

Which she may or may not receive her card from us for (at least she has her presents)!

I was on my hands and knees scrubbing the porch earlier. It's so small I had to have my rear end out on the path. I'm sure the neighbours were pleased with the view!

The good news is that the south-facing porch dried really quickly, so the coat hooks are back up already.

We're discussing moving furniture round, from the lounge to the dining room and vice versa. The constant storage battle vs space drives me insane!

So..........Costco had a large pre-lit tree in the Entry point , you could almost feeeel the Eh, What in Tarnation vibes though hardcore Costco shoppers know they start Christmas/The Holidays stock in Sept every year .

They had toys (didn't look, my DC are adults) , huge rolls of ribbon, a massive pre-lit wreath, trees , scented candles .

I was eyeing up a long padded coat (didn'r get a chance to check what it was made of) it was a gorgeous colour- I liked the dark green- but a bit shiney .

So is it compuksary to have a photo of Bruce-In-His-Vest each thread Xmas Grin ?

NoWordForFluffy · 04/09/2020 14:46

Bruce is compulsory in relation to Christmas, definitely! Xmas Grin

Afternoon all,

Hairdresser gone, mop tamed, and appointments for October and December booked. And DH let me know when I was taking all the rainjackets in off the line that he had already resprayed them (to re-waterproof them) - I had thought it was a good day to wash them before wintery weather returns.

I like the idea of a Filofax, but think it would outgrow my handbag and/or workbag very quickly....

For the weekend, I am up at 6am to feed DH and DD before he takes her to a sailing event 2.5 hours away across the country (with MY dryrobe!! But she will have to change in the outdoors). My Cubs have a swim test later in the morning (I am likely to end up in the water - but have a waterproof cover for my car seat and only driving 10 minutes so DD wins on a "needs" basis). Lots of sewing in the afternoon, and roast tarragon chicken dinner when the other 2 get back. And a very long sleep on Sunday!!

BiddyPop · 04/09/2020 14:49

Oh, I forgot to add that I am happy to approve Lethal Weapon on the thread - I'm waiting for DH to tell me which cable to order to be able to watch my DVD box set (can't connect the player to the (newish) tv at the moment, which I only realised when I took advantage of a rare free afternoon recently to put on a dvd and failed miserably).

pussycatinboots · 04/09/2020 14:57

Most Saturday will be cleaning the kitchen and steam mopping the floor, doing some stock-rotation in the cupboards, one load of washing, cook something for lunch whatever falls out of the fridge first and I'll worry about Sunday when I get there Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 04/09/2020 15:00

We have the hairdresser coming in the morning, then I'll clean the kitchen and bathroom. Then it's garden-tidying time. I'm neglecting the allotment until Sunday as I've been neglecting the house / garden, so they need sorting.

I'll mow shortly as it's now dry enough.

Biddy, busy weekend as ever!
