why pity it's only 2 - if it was three you could plait them! 🙊🤦‍♀️

fluffy erm, do you know someone who needs a nipple wax? 😱😱😰
DO NOT use that Gorilla Tape stuff - it's painful to peel of a finger, so I would be really concerned about a nipple.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 14/08/2020 12:58

Have gone out for a walk and there is a definite autumnal feel, it is lovely :)

Thanks for the mug and key ring ideas, will definitely get those. Plan to order stuff once DS is in bed.

pussycatinboots · 14/08/2020 13:10

most I had a belt with my name on that I wore constantly at that age - and one with my star sign which opened up the night sky! personalised pens and pencils are always a winner aren't they? Coaster and cup for next to his bed?

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/08/2020 13:13

I think my DS had a personalised wind up torch from eBay at about that age most

pussycatinboots · 14/08/2020 13:16

Woolly that's a cracking idea. Star

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/08/2020 14:08

I've had a quick look most. The type I bought aren't on there any more but the do have a different type with a clip that goes on school bags etc. They do letter ones too if your DS has a name that isn't listed.

The BBC website are running a poll for people to vote for their favourite Christmas carols. You can vote up to three times - either for different carols or the same one and the results will be on Christmas songs of praise. Vote here

NerosFiddle · 14/08/2020 14:19

Woolly I gave two votes to Oh Holy Night and one vote to Silent Night.

Mrsmadevans · 14/08/2020 14:23

@NoWordForFluffy

Oh yes. Carpet tape might work! It's very sticky and you'd get a free wax, if required, on removal.

And that's something to look forward to, Boots! 🙈

Fluffy some ppl l know have areola hair they'd be glad of it Smile
pussycatinboots · 14/08/2020 14:29

Woolly 3 votes for Once In Royal David's City.
Christmas Eve with a mince pie a fridge freezer bursting at the seams and a glass of something Wine and Carols from Kings...(and snow if anyone at the met office reads this)

pussycatinboots · 14/08/2020 14:31

Funny how we're voting for carols in a heatwave?! and DH want's to vote for Carol Kirkwood

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/08/2020 14:32

I did O Holy Night and the Carol of the Bells. I'd like to see the results of the poll but I'm not sure they'd publish them beforehand if they are going to make a programme based on the top 10.

Shocked and saddened to see Saviours Day on the list I'm not a Cliff fan.

pussycatinboots · 14/08/2020 14:41

erm, that's not a carol.

OK, well in that case I'll have this:

Mrsmadevans · 14/08/2020 14:56

Woolly l can't bear Cliff either , Dh thinks he is wonderful Hmm

WreckTangled · 14/08/2020 15:09

I popped into home sense earlier and spent £75 Shock I only went in for a frying pan ffs. Got a pumpkin spiced candle though 🍂 it's cloudy here today and warm but fresh. Still no rain and none forecast.

TheWoollybacksWife · 14/08/2020 15:09

MrsMad I think it's the music and hair dye and the perma tan. He's nearly 80 ffs. I feel the same about other ageing pop stars. I like a silver fox. Martin Kemp has aged very nicely for example.

I am fully aware I'm a hypocrite as I'm not growing old gracefully.

pussycatinboots · 14/08/2020 15:17

£70 for a frying pan?! I knocked off a fiver for the candle ShockGrin

Woolly The Perma-toupe and easy-jet tan? Chills me to the bone tbh. V creepy trying to stay "20s" when your knocking 80..
(and bugger gracefully not sure I've ever done graceful, more elephant)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/08/2020 15:25

Thank You for the congratulations - DD finally got hr results - Distinction Star so well worth the wait (as was DD when I was sweltering 18 years ago Xmas Grin )

I just skimmed backwards through the posts , intrigued and mind boggled by nipple piercings and Cliff Richard on the same page

I love Carol of the Bells but it was overplayed on QVC a few years back (they used in their Christmas adverts )

And I have to admit , I kinda like "Saviours Day" too (my grandparents were very excited to find songs like One Day at a Time by Lena Martell "in the Hit Pardade " , they'd have been tickled pink by Sir Cliff's festive offerings .

They'd combust at some lyrics now Xmas Shock

Mrsmadevans · 14/08/2020 15:31

Just had these delivered for Dd1 for Christmas 🎄 she has a penchant for Parker jotters and these are so pretty . So that is one down many to go 🙄😃
l am still reeling over the hot choc from Whittards that Most got , hurrumph , no competing with that amount of prep is there she's too cool fo school that gel 😁🤗

Mrsmadevans · 14/08/2020 15:32

Bgr forgot the pens 😂🙄😁
