Mrs If you look under "pages now trending" and click on radar it will show you where all the rain is. Grin

Thanks for the bowl of cold water idea Boots, I will try it. (I suspect Atlantis footprints at all times 😂)

Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 21:35

Oh thank you Boot 🤗

pussycatinboots · 12/08/2020 21:38

Raining!
Metcheck have put out a severe weather warning now
A very well organised thunderstorm is now moving into parts of Central Wales and Northwest England. Some very strong winds of 60mph+ are expected on the Northern edge of the system with torrential rainfall and moderate sized hail on the rear of the system.

MarshmallowManiac · 12/08/2020 21:38

Still no rain/storms here, but feel it is on the way.

Great website thanks Boots Smile

pussycatinboots · 12/08/2020 21:45

There's this site too:

ConstantlyCooking · 12/08/2020 22:05

Spent today still waiting for rain here!

TheWoollybacksWife · 12/08/2020 22:18

No rain here either. I've spent the day painting the downstairs loo. At 6:30 I was approximately 70% sweat. DH has been painting our bedroom so we need to clear up a little bit before we can bed down for the night.

I'm supposed to be in St. Petersburg today not up to my neck in masking tape and tester pots Angry

Mrsmadevans · 12/08/2020 22:28

Ahhh bless you Woolly Flowers
Well done on the painting she's nuts Grin
These websites are ace Boot thank you m;dear Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 12/08/2020 22:42

Wow well done Woolly, hope you have cooled down now, and have your feet up with at least an ice cream or glass of wine in your hand Grin

Thanks for other website too Boots Smile

Woolly I agree with Mrs Grin What on earth possessed you to paint in this heat? The paint will dry before it gets near a wall🙊

Couldn't sleep for the weather, the heat and some really bad stomach cramps yes, it's that time again I am getting to the point where I think my body hates me! It's timing is impeccable - my thermostat is always off course anyway, but during a sodding heatwave?! 😤🥵🤢😭

WreckTangled · 13/08/2020 08:05

No storms here and no rain unless you could the pathetic spots currently coming down oh wait, they've stopped again. It does feel a bit fresher I suppose but that's mainly because there's some cloud. Nothing planned today, good job as I have no money Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 13/08/2020 08:08

Morning!

I did sleep last night, but only because I was knackered from the previous two nights! We're away this weekend and the duvet is getting washed before we go as we've been so disgustingly sweaty this last week. 🤮

I've just cut my main crop spuds' leaves to the ground. I read that you do that, leave for 10 days, then harvest. So that's what I'll do!

We're still forecast high-20°s today. Another non-productive day at work, I feel!

I feel for you, Boots. I was a bit crampy last night too. But nothing like you, I'm sure. GinCake

Oh yes, I forgot. Woolly...insanity there! Maybe the heat addled you a bit?!

Morning (again)
I went back to bed when DH got up at half 7, and have had a couple of hours interrupted only by a cat playing with the blind in the ensuite 😹 I think taking ibuprofen and paracetomol may have helped - that and sheer exhaustion.
How many tonnes of spuds do you think you'll get farmer fluffy? 🚜🥔😉

NoWordForFluffy · 13/08/2020 10:20

Well, I don't know. It'll be either 🥔 or 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔 no doubt. There's never any half measures! 😂

I'm glad you got more sleep. 😴

NerosFiddle · 13/08/2020 10:25

Morning.

I need to stay in today. I'm waiting for a parcel to be re delivered, a Sainsbury's delivery and a spark coming to fit more plugs and a new extractor fan into the attic.

TheWoollybacksWife · 13/08/2020 11:15

I nipped out to Wickes for more paint. It's for DH to use in the bedroom - I shan't be painting again any time soon! I'm trapped in the car as we have got the mother and father of downpours and it's just started with thunder and lightning. Send wellies, a cup of earl grey and a bacon butty 🙏

WreckTangled · 13/08/2020 11:18

I've emptied the paddling pool and pulled up some weeds. Fluffy would be disgusted at the state of my garden Grin have also dried a load of washing on the line. Need to do some housework as the place is a state but want to wait for the rain (if we get any) as it's too hot to hoover etc right now.

See my bin full of weeds Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 13/08/2020 12:21

That is very full Wreck. Excellent weeding.

I'm home. I didn't drown. The road between Wickes and Asda was flooded but I had chosen to go this way as the usual way into that part of town was closed for roadworks. The flooding happened between me getting to Wickes and coming home. Madness!

NoWordForFluffy · 13/08/2020 12:33

That road floods at the drop of a hat, Woolly. Doesn't take much at all!

Good weeding, Wreck. I have loads of weeds at home and the allotment. I am no paragon of virtue in such things! 😂😂
