Mrsmadevans · 20/07/2020 16:09

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 16:10

She'll be delighted Mrs it's nice to get new stuff for your new house isn't it. Wishing her the very best in her new home Smile

Mrsmadevans · 20/07/2020 16:18

Ah thank you Maniac that's very sweet of you 🤗
Tell me something, do you feel as if you have found your people with us here STS ? I ask because l was very unsure of MN when l first started posting and then l lurked for ages then summoned up the courage to join in. It's so friendly here l loved it from the start 😃.
I just wondered if you feel at home with us too. On a lot of threads there is argy bargy all the time but we all get on here . It's my go to all the time. I hope you feel the same 🤗

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 16:23

I really do feel like I've found my crew Mrs I lurked for ages then one day thought 'what the hell' and joined in. It is like a big family, and I just love it Smile Everyone here is so nice and try to help each other if they can, it's a lovely community and I feel right at home. Grin

Mrsmadevans · 20/07/2020 16:43

Mrsmadevans · 20/07/2020 16:44

I have one last pic from Dd2 stash. The theme of the whole house by the seems of it 😂

I said, once we got her settled then we start on ours, it needs a good overhaul 😃

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 17:00

Thanks *Mrs I feel like that too Flowers It's good to get them sorted out first then we can shop Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 20/07/2020 17:04

Wow, Frozen cross stitches won't be on my list! 😂

Such a good haul for your DD, Mrs. Does she have a moving date yet?

Mrsmadevans · 20/07/2020 17:11

Not yet Fluffy l will be honest we have been stalling to not have to pay the LLt aka stamp duty 😁

Mrsmadevans · 20/07/2020 17:12

It's after the 27th here. So for the sake of a few days we will save 525 quid l hope

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 17:30

Having some Welsh Dragon sausages and mash tonight Grin can smell it now. What goodies are you all having?

NoWordForFluffy · 20/07/2020 17:35

I'm surprised it qualifies for an LTT payment given that she's not buying 100% of the property.

You could've exchanged with a completion date after the change though too! It's the date of the transaction that counts, after all.

Evening, lots to catch up on. Sorry about your bathroom Crazy. At least it's clean water??

I've spent the day sorting my work emails in the vain hope I might hear about starting back. There's 12 fee earners in the department, and in the next 2 months one woman goes off on maternity and 3 of the blokes are going on paternity. Then there's me 2 months later...

In other news, I am going shopping tomorrow! For the first time in over 4 months! I'm disproportionately excited, even though I only plan on going to one shop...

FireflyGirl · 20/07/2020 18:33

Looking at all of those old fashioned ovens reminds me of fun weekends away in decrepit, chilly old caravans, eating slightly burned toast. Funny, I don't remember many of our foreign holidays but I fondly remember a holiday to Butlins when my DNana joined us/a week in a 2berth caravan on the East Coast where DSis and I had to sleep in the awning and I'd wake up to her and DF watching Spiderman cartoons.

Makes me wonder what DS will remember.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 20/07/2020 18:59

Struggling to catch up! Is the bathroom all sorted now Crazy? Our electric shower has broken which is a pain but at least hasn't leaked water everywhere!

Lovely haul Mrs :)

Have had a lovely relaxing day although have had a bit of a tidy up of the house and for dinner all the veg was home grown!

Taking DS to the playground tomorrow for the first time since March.

NerosFiddle · 20/07/2020 19:18

Evening all.

A bunch of chatty cathys here.

Thanks for the link marsh. I'll buy dd an Elsa costume maybe for Halloween.

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 19:21

No problem Neros the costumes were lovely weren't they Smile

NerosFiddle · 20/07/2020 19:21

Fluffy I was an all Ireland swim champion when I was a teen but unfortunately I just didn't grow much. Being about a foot smaller than my competitors wasn't great. I was fast but when you're talking hundredths of a second difference in times, the height difference was just too much.

NerosFiddle · 20/07/2020 19:22

They were lovely. She's want them all if she got to see them

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 19:27

Some of the things would be good for stocking fillers I feel Smile

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 20/07/2020 19:31

I had a microwave lasagne Marshmallow as I am at work till 22.30. So very uninspiring.

WreckTangled · 20/07/2020 19:34

Over six weeks off work now! Although I might have to do a few bits due to us being so behind but will have to wait and see. Possible career progression too but have to wait until September 2021...

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 19:35

Oh Why love lasagne, we had it last night. Sorry to hear you are working so late.
