I just noticed we only have 20 posts left and I'm off to the allotment! So here is thread 7!

Boots, sorry you're suffering. I hope it eases soon.

And the roads here were packed yesterday. Nice weather = people going to the beach, I guess.

Mrs, we had one of the eye level grills. Didn't everyone in the 70s and 80s?!

I can't stand all-gas though. Gas hob and electric oven for me!

Marshmallow, ouch to you too. My knees are really aching at the moment. Constant up and down at the allotment in damp weather doesn't help. The noise they make when I go upstairs is 🤮🤮🤮

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 13:24

Thanks Fluffy have put anti-inflammatory cream on it but hasn't done anything Sad Yes I don't think the damp helps it at all, hope you start to feel better really soon. We are in the wars aren't we Grin

pussycatinboots · 20/07/2020 13:25

Crazy 🍹🍹👷🏻‍♂️🤐🤬🛠🎄Charlie sends you a big hug x😺

pussycatinboots · 20/07/2020 13:28

Clicky knees? yup, my left is awful but I think it counterbalances my knackered right ankle.
fluffy I nearly fainted with the pain. It's better now but blimey that was not nice!

NoWordForFluffy · 20/07/2020 13:30

Mine kind of grind more than click! The left one did click as well when I'd done loads of digging, but it's back to only grinding now!

Mrs Was it a "New World" in Cream with light green trim? My dad and my uncle had identical cookers. There's a photo of me in a highchair in front of it somewhere 🤔
My uncle had the original (still 100% tested and working) 1950s oven in his flat when he died in 2009.
They don't make them like that any more GrinWink

pussycatinboots · 20/07/2020 13:39

My cousin played cricket (amateur) and ended up having knee ops at 30. He was quite a good bowler, but his older bro was better and bowled out a v v young Michael Owen when he played for Hawarden Park youth team Grin

Love your haul Mrs, you must have cleared them out! Grin

Am browsing Matalan atm and they have some lovely Frozen gifts Crazy and Neros Smile

pussycatinboots · 20/07/2020 15:47

It's a tenner cheaper with AO (but is out of stock) so shop around Wink
Mum had at least half a dozen, but the New World was an antique Grin
Will try to find it online...

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 15:54

We bought our extra freezer with AO last year Boots, seems to be good so far Smile

Marsh we get all our electric stuff from them - their depot is quite close and if you bribe the delivery guys with a Brew and packet of hob nobs they unpackage and install it for free Wink

pussycatinboots · 20/07/2020 16:00

Don't google "frozen cross stitch" - it'll take ages and cost £££ Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 20/07/2020 16:04

OMG they do cost £££ Boots but they do look so lovely.
