MrsMad your sister makes me 😡
But in the interests of reduced stress - at least you don't have to deal with her while she's away.

CrazyBaubles · 16/07/2020 11:49

Firefly could you add sprouts to a few teas just to use them up?

Fluffy We have a shared list on our phones with the freezer contents on it because I hate rummaging through it but also hate waste. I do a huge audit of it every few months but DH does a little browse weekly and picks meals according to what's in there.
Would that work for you?

CrazyBaubles · 16/07/2020 11:53

And the bloody neighbours are still banging / drilling away. FFS there cannot be anything left for them to do to that house, they've been working on something or other pretty much continuously since they moved here a few years ago (replaced kitchen, replaced bathroom, ripped out an old tree and landscaped the front garden, a year later dug that up and turned it into a driveway, patio, conservatory, back garden, summerhouse / pub / shed, new windows).

And yes, I know it's all being done at reasonable times etc but as I've always been in work it's never bothered me before but now I can't concentrate and I just want to moan

MarshmallowManiac · 16/07/2020 12:21

Afternoon everyone.

Bit dull and dreary here today, last night's weather lady said it was going to be sunny. What the hell is going on!

OMG that's beautiful Hairspray, you're extremely talented. Definitely think he will have the pregnancy glow Grin Grin

Lovely teapots Crazy, especially the blue one. Smile You're so like me, have medication to take every morning and night forever, and forget all the time. I'll be watching telly at 11pm and suddenly remember Grin

Not long till your new job Fluffy, maybe use this time to relax and savour a little 'me' time. Flowers

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 16/07/2020 12:26

Now I really want cookie dough Marshmallow!

1.5 days left of juggling WFH and DS. Can't wait to give him my full attention.

NerosFiddle · 16/07/2020 12:33

I have all my freezer labelled. But if anything is in there over a month dh tends to through it out Angry

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 16/07/2020 12:38

Crazy it does sound like we are nearby. We have drilling and banging with loads of dust. Should be laws against it in my view.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 16/07/2020 12:44

Haha Mrs that would be a whole different section of Mumsnet with suppositories in the title.

MarshmallowManiac · 16/07/2020 12:46

Yes Most it tastes so fabulous having a nibble here and there Makes it so hard to lose weight in this house, they seem to be baking every day not complaining
Hope to be foraging some blackberries tonight for Blackberry and Apple pie. Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2020 12:49

I have 'Loud John' next door. They sit out the front in sunny weather and have a screeching small child who never gets asked to be more quiet.

Then the house of dogs opposite. They let them out into the drive to bark quite often.

Both irritating.

I have to say I am very lucky with my neighbours, nice and quiet.

Planning to make an apple and blackberry crumble this weekend Marshmallow :)

MarshmallowManiac · 16/07/2020 12:59

Lovely Most really enjoy crumble, if we get enough berries maybe we will make a pie and a crumble Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2020 13:10

Lunch time! Bit of a break!

NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2020 13:13

We've only had the odd blackberry. We have thousands at our disposal here and at the allotment. Once they're ripe. Usually another month or so up here.

We quite often go to Formby woods to pick them.

DH is currently making rhubarb crumble as ours has gone mad after doing a semi convincing death impressing while it was warm due to all of the rain recently.

Nero I will admit to chucking out some sliced pepperoni that was in the freezer this morning...I know it's been in there at least 18months.

I properly lolled at that! My mum and dad had nicknames for all of their neighbours. One was Dogs Bollocks (?) - he owned a labradoodle. another was Captain Pugwash - he owned a boat. then there was Sue, whose name was actually Jane Hmm I believe there was also a Dick Head, Tipsy Tommy, Gobby Geoff and Cyril the Bastard.
pussycatinboots · 16/07/2020 13:36

fluffy
There's a Bothy Margaret Sherry VW camper van, 2 x garden bird ones and Heritage "summer shore".

NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2020 13:40

Loving the neighbours' nicknames! 😂😂

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2020 13:42

I love those cross stitches, Boots.

Have you got a hierarchy as to which one is next from all the ones you have?

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2020 13:43

I'll have to see about the list, Crazy.

I'm just trying to persuade DH that he needs to look in there today to see what home grown veg we have left from last year!

NoWordForFluffy · 16/07/2020 13:58

I made Yorkshires in my lunch break. Couldn't do that in the office!
