Countdown to Christmas 2020 (thread 7): To buy or not to buy a Balsam Hill Christmas tree (AKA: Christmas in July)?!

I just noticed we only have 20 posts left and I'm off to the allotment! So here is thread 7!

We did train year before last. It was good but lots of queuing. Much preferred the garden centre last year which had zero queuing :)

Fluffy my motivation has gone and I am still in bed as I am off for two days now but some git started drilling at 08.30 so I was contemplating shoving the drill up their arse!!! 😂

Woolly now I'm lost down a Spode rabbit hole.
They have the Christmas tree plate with gold border for £6.20 each. I don't particularly want them but they are £66 for a set of 4 on the Spode website!

Another spoilt brat confession - I haven't actually bought myself any of the Spode Christmas stuff. Dm has bought me odds and ends when she sees them in work or as a gift for Christmas.
She always hands them over with a little "don't moan, if I want to waste my money I can" disclaimer to both my dad and DH

Ffs I bought us each a shortbread but ate two so now I have to eat all of them don't I?

why are you sure you haven't relocated to my street? Neighbour 2 doors up started drilling in their garden around the same time and whatever they're doing has become a mix of drilling and banging 😩

I'm planning next week's meals, and I think I need to go properly sort the chest freezer in the garage. I can't even remember what's at the bottom...

If I empty it a bit, I'll have room for meal prepping later in the year.

Might need some ideas from you lot about what to do with the more random items though.

Pretty certain there's a bag of sprouts I bought just in case I couldn't get fresh ones for Christmas dinner at the bottom, and I seem to recall broad beans in there somewhere... Veggie risotto?? 🤔

We bought a second freezer a few years' ago. Then upgraded it to a bigger one last year as part of our Brexit prep.

DH is useless at looking for stuff in it. And as he's the one with the time to do it when I'm at work, he really needs to get on with it!
