New thread for our 'bonus' day today.

It's the anniversary of our gran dying today; she was a brilliant lady. Very young at heart. ❤️❤️ Very knowledgeable too.

It's windy today, isn't it? We have a Spanish-named storm coming across.

I think corona is concerning in the sense that any potential pandemic is concerning generally. And, as I said, I'm not that keen on being quarantined for a fortnight or more!

I also don't trust our government to act in our best interests over the whole thing.

Anyway, kids' party with DS today. Wooooo!

I'm 5/7 and Dh is 6/2, but his cousins are easily 6/4 so I reckon he'll reach that easily.

I'll be annoyed that we are self isolating due to DD2s cough and all it is is a cough that she always gets with a cold, what happens if we do get it, I'll feel like the boy who cried wolf, yet we are just following guidelines.

If the testing was more available we would know either way, then they wouldn't have to find anyone to cover my shifts next weekend, i hate letting people down when it comes to work, I've had no time off in 2 years!!

We are the same PJ. DS had a residential last week until Friday. He woke up on Saturday with tonsillitis and then developed a cough on Tuesday evening. I had a cold last week and also started with a cough on Tuesday. DD1 had sore throat last week. Developed a cough on Monday. Both her and DS have hay fever and normally get a tickly cough at this time of the year. We can't be too careful though so we are all self isolating until the end of the month. Poor DD2 could work every hour God sends (supermarket PT job) but isn't able to currently.

MrsMad Cluedo is also a favourite here - we have the Simpsons version. I'm sure that will
make an appearance soon.

I'm also a Mallory Towers fan. I'm going to see if they are available for my kindle. I'm currently reading Ginger Gold mysteries (set in the 1920's) and really appreciating my kindle unlimited subscription.

I can see why we have to do it Woolly, I just worry when we really do get it and we've already had this time off.

You're all lucky to be tall. I'm barely 5"1. I feel sorry for DS because he's very small for his age. Maybe he'll take a growth spurt though. Dh is 6"1 so it's possible.

I'm 5'11" and my mum is was 4'11". It's quite amusing. My dad is about 5'10", I think. But as PJ says, we have some very tall people in the family on our mutual side! The men on my mum's side were tall too.

I do like being tall, though it's a pain for clothing!

Neros I'm 5'3" so you're not alone I can't reach the top shelf in the kitchen cupboards so they're all full of stuff I don't use/need often. Reaching over the sink to open the kitchen window is impossible too, without a step ladder.

Good morning everyone 😀Off to Mum's soon. Her and Bob have decided to still see each other over the following months and are thinking of Mum moving into his house , this is a huge development and I think it would be beneficial to them both. We could still go up and care for her and do all her care. Bob doesn't have any visitors at all. So it's all up in the air really 🤯my sister and brother would hate it but Mum has been so much happier since Bob.
It's a year now that Dad died & she was so distraught there is such a difference in her now🤗
So we shall have to see what happens .
Caring for Mum then home LTR, we are watching two doors down from start to finish, on s3 now 😀. Going to watch Boomers next 😂
Dd2 house buying looks like it is going to take longer , had a letter from the solicitor to ask how long her mortgage offer was valid for 🙄🥺 never mind 😊 it will all be ok in the end .

I bought the HP 3d book for my great nephew and l had to open it and have a look before I sent it 😀
l wish l had taken pics it was so brilliant 😀he's 10 and he loved it 🤗. I also sent him Dobble, Monopoly,. A Goosebumps dvd and a little lego Friends box for his lil sister. I looked at the Amazon charts for games and all the board games were in the top 10 !

Debating whether to risk a trip to B&Q for compost and canes to make the most of the nice weather and get the garden sorted.

Our family friend who lost her husband last month came to the allotment yesterday, and dug over 3 of the beds. Think she was glad of something to do, but it means I need to get stuff in now before the weeds repopulate Nice problem to have, to be honest!

DH is having to work 'normal' hours today because his work are being funny about him working from home. Given he works in the NHS in an open plan office, it seems absolutely ridiculous! Anyway, so I've been up since 7am planning the garden doing my work.

Thankfully, I don't have many court deadlines coming up. One today, and we've agreed to a two-week extension. I'm so glad I don't have any court hearings listed in the next couple of weeks!

MrsM it's nice for your DM to have company. This is what your sister won't understand - that she's spent the majority of her life living with someone, so they're there when she wants to yatter about the weather, or discuss what she's watching on TV, or whatever. And then suddenly she's by herself in a big lonely house. And that's even before she had to stop socialising because of a global pandemic!

Wreck, I just saw the headteacher who just looks exhausted with it all. It's a big school, so loads of kids and parents to consider.

DH is doing more fence painting I've emptied the low plastic "shed" and we've moved it out of his way.
We're going to sow some carrots and spring onions over the weekend. I need to chit my Charlottes and Brian (Cox - apple tree) has started to get some blossom
