New thread for our 'bonus' day today.

It's the anniversary of our gran dying today; she was a brilliant lady. Very young at heart. ❤️❤️ Very knowledgeable too.

It's windy today, isn't it? We have a Spanish-named storm coming across.

I think corona is concerning in the sense that any potential pandemic is concerning generally. And, as I said, I'm not that keen on being quarantined for a fortnight or more!

I also don't trust our government to act in our best interests over the whole thing.

Anyway, kids' party with DS today. Wooooo!

Dc have swimming lessons tomorrow, I wasn't planning on cancelling. I've read the pool should kill the virus and we won't be close to anyone

It seems that the virus is going to stop me seeing my grandfather who I have been told only has weeks left. Hope I can at least Skype him!

DS does swimming lessons at my gym. We went swimming this morning to make up for missing rugby. While we were getting changed one of the staff was in the changing room wiping everything she could find with anti-bacterial spray, and then she did all the handrails around the pool as well. It's usually pretty clean in there anyway - we live in a naice commuter village, and the monthly membership is quite high. If it was a bit iffy, we'd be giving that a miss as well.

It's in the news today that a teacher at one of the primary schools in the town about 10 minutes away has tested positive. They're only testing people in hospital now, so they must be quite ill with it. But they still haven't closed the school?!? We'll see what happens tomorrow, I guess. DS's school have been keeping us regularly updated, and they've been working on an online learning platform, though how relevant that would be to foundation year I don't know.

I'm super jealous of those Yorkshire puddings Wreck. I managed some like that once and have failed every time since...

Another exciting day ahead at work. We're having a meeting at 8.30, which will be fun, then I've got at least two Defendants I need to call to have a chat with to see if we can get claims settled.

It looks like it's going to be dry and sunny, which is something!

I'm still feeling a bit off, with whatever illness I'm harbouring. No temp or cough which is 'consistent' or 'persistent', just occasional coughing. The guidelines are very confusing!

Fluffy have a poster for the symptoms Dd2 sent me . I thought I put it on. Will put it on now just in case . These only apply if you are I'll from the virus . They say, Govt etc, there are many who won't be affected by it at all how true that is l don't know but l suspect they are hoping for herd protection.

The thing is, I have some of the symptoms, but not the ones which means I have to self isolate. And as you don't contact medical assistance until you're almost-dead now, nobody will be interested! 🤷‍♀️

Thing is, these symptoms apart from sob , continuous cough & temp can be missed by those who have not been badly affected. It's anyone's guess . Just take care everyone 😘

Mrs a bit like fluffy I've some of those symptoms but I still think it's more to do with being laid low with the period from hell. I had another bout of D&V last night, and felt as rough as a badgers arse Had a sit in the sun watching DH paint a couple more fence panels this morning and I feel a bit better. Hopefully I'm over the worst.

Been to Mum got her fed, showered & dressed
Took her to Bob's. Had already done her shopping and filled the freezer, shops were very quiet but this was at 7 this morning and l was just thinking God l feel tired but now l know why lol ! Her social worker was supposed to call but she rang to say that POWYS local authority were ringing to interview ppl instead of doing home calls, which l thought was very sensible. I also sent the Specsavers ppl away who came to do a reading test for Mum, they didn't mind at all . I did phone to change the appt but l was unable to contact them. They didn't mind at all. They had an appt 3 doors down lol so they went there a bit earlier .
I see Roy Hudd has passed away , we really liked him , he was such a happy influence he will be missed

I want to know what advice Brandon Flowers ( him out of The Killers ) has about handwashing (from Firefly link ) Is he an authority on Infection Control Policies

Boot l can't sympatise enough , l know how awful it makes you feel. Have you ruled out HRT m'dear ? Or can you not have it ? I think if l had my time again l would take it.
