New thread for our 'bonus' day today.

It's the anniversary of our gran dying today; she was a brilliant lady. Very young at heart. ❤️❤️ Very knowledgeable too.

It's windy today, isn't it? We have a Spanish-named storm coming across.

I think corona is concerning in the sense that any potential pandemic is concerning generally. And, as I said, I'm not that keen on being quarantined for a fortnight or more!

I also don't trust our government to act in our best interests over the whole thing.

Anyway, kids' party with DS today. Wooooo!

And DH works in the NHS and has just moved to a new office where hot-desking is encouraged. By virtue of them not having enough desks So he's been working from home and using up my loo roll stash!!

I'm pretty certain of the three of us, DH is most likely to get it!

Firefly we only hot desk in our trust no one is allowed their own desk but we all do

Snow? Ah, I ordered that for my birthday tomorrow - maybe they got the postcode wrong looks like I'm getting wind makes note to buy more baked beans

I have lego but I daren't get it out. My feline overlords would eat it. That's why I'm the proud owner of a 999 piece jigsaw

We've got some paint in, so if we end up stuck I suppose we could repaint the walls (notice the lack of enthusiasm).

I think tidying/decorating would be the order of the day here as well. I kondoed the whole house when I was on extended maternity leave, but DH has re-cluttered it, so that's a future project!

It's remarkably mild here today so enjoying the park with DS :)

I think 2 wks back-to-back training could be too much to take in, they should have given you a break in between. Everyone runs out of capacity at some point, especially as it's in a sensitive field.

My eyes have been burning for most of the day and my throat is sore. And I've been voted as the person most likely to catch CV at work (I've no idea why)!

I think we'd be ok with a lockdown, though it would be nice to be able go to the allotment! I'd be WFH though, so it could get annoying for DH and the kids!

Neros, I was anticipating the Cobra announcement re self isolation with colds today, but it hasn't come yet (maybe 7pm), so I've not mentioned my germs yet!

Still have a funny tummy, have managed some soup, dh has been off work so he's done school run etc, I've been in bed binge watching women behind bars on Netflix.

Puss my dh is terrible in the kitchen he cooked for me in 1997 (unsuccessfully) and in 1998 when our oldest was born (far more successfully).

I am so tired I can hardly wander about an early night I reckon.

I feel a bit snuffly, now would not be a good time to develop a cold especially going onto night shifts next week.

why, we both seem to be inflicted with similarly useless kitchen appliances DHs early night for you too.

@whydoesitalwayshappentome and @PJMasksGhekko have either of you seen a video on FB (now taken down) of a paramedic in hazmat gear entering a local house. I haven't seen it first hand - DD2 was telling me about it. She works PT in a local supermarket and has had grief for not having any bog roll.

DS is on a school residential until Friday and I miss the grumpy little bugger. DH is missing him too - he's got no one to do the full Statto thing with watching the footy tonight. No doubt I'll get the "This happened when we played Atletico Madrid in 19xx..." I love Jurgen LFC and I'm looking forward to the end of the season but 😴😴😴

Fluffy, Boots and PJ I hope you all feel better soon. DH works from home anyway and I'm at home too so it's only the DC at work (in a school), uni and school that I worry about. I'm hoping for an early Easter holiday really. The only down side is DD2's 21st might be a casualty but that is inconsequential in the grand scheme of keeping vulnerable rellies safe and well.

Mrs - your mum and Bob sound brilliant. I think company in old age is very important.

Have been temporarily promoted at work so we went to Harvester for dinner :)

Tonight's dinner here was freezer surprise to make some more room for veg/chips/fish fingers that I'll get on my trip to Tesco on Friday. I cleared a one portion tub of bolognaise sauce, a single portion of lasagna and some bacon that I turned into carbonara.

I'm not on Facebook woolly but my neighbour has told me that the gir school has closed for deep cleaning.

No she hasn't joined me puss, she would just get annoying

Dd2 is fine it is just a sore throat , bit of a cold. They didn't want her to stay in work today but she is honestly fine.
I have nagged my Mum so much re hand washing & staying out of contact with ppl .

It's rather windy here. Combined with it being recycling bin day, there's SO much rubbish and toppled bins everywhere.

We had hail plus 50+mph wind last night. If you'd been out in it you'd have much less skin than you started with once you got home!

I still have a headache and sore throat and moving around too much is exhausting. I'm managing though!

fluffy there was a lot of creaking coming from the loft last night so i bravely hid downstairs with the cats. I can confirm that trying to sleep on a lumpy sofa doesn't help a sore neck.
