New thread for our 'bonus' day today.

It's the anniversary of our gran dying today; she was a brilliant lady. Very young at heart. ❤️❤️ Very knowledgeable too.

I think corona is concerning in the sense that any potential pandemic is concerning generally. And, as I said, I'm not that keen on being quarantined for a fortnight or more!

I also don't trust our government to act in our best interests over the whole thing.

Anyway, kids' party with DS today. Wooooo!

Morning! I wish I wasn't awake, but I am. Sigh.

Today is garden sorting day. I'm late starting my peas, so I'll get a load of those sown plus I'm starting my broad beans here in trays then transporting then to my plot as it's still too wet there. The greenhouse needs building and my pots all need sorting and washing. Plus the buddleia needs chopping down to 12 inches which should've been done last month so I'm hoping it's not too late. I've loads to do, actually!

We're going to have a tidy outside too. DH has done the lawn, so there's the edges left to do and I want to sort out pots/hanging baskets and see how much compost we've got.

Today I'm cooking up roast potatoes and mash to go into the freezer. I can never be bothered to make them during the week so will be nice to have a stash.

Will focus on the garden and house plants for that hour and then when DH gets back will head to the allotment and use his strength to start moving the rubbish into the car and taking it to the tip.

We are not doing much today. Dd1 has gone to see to Mum. Bob is picking Mum up at 10 .30 Mum told me Bob has asked her to marry him so that was a huge shock. She told him to wait and see what happens. He even offered to sell his house and buy another for them to live in 🤯. I told Mum l don't have a problem with it . Which l don't. I just want her and Bob to be happy . They could have a council Oap bungalow l am sure if they wanted to which means they can keep their houses to scurry back to if they end up hating each other 🤣. Hey ho he's 89 and she is 88. Ding dong the bells are going to chime 😀 . Anyway that's my news😁

I only get an online practising certificate these days (I got a proper one when I qualified, which only lasted 31 days due to timing!). It's all very disappointing maybe I should print it out, but that's effort as nobody sees it / cares anyway!

Wreck l did have great bargains yesterday, right place , right time really . I especially love the cards and the paper l got . The Disney Frozen kitchen was a pound. I think they must have just wanted the room tbh . It is in a fairly big box. Have got that for my Mum to give to her friends grandchildren ❤️

I have taken care of my house plants and had a good deweed and tidy up in the back garden. I have started work on deweeding the patio but it is a big job so will do it in stages.

Fluffy l think they will give their houses to their children and not claim on each other's money. They have no interest in money. Just want to be together ❤️. I think we will install my Dd1 in Mum's , then it will still be there for her if she needs to go back home . So it will be ok 👍😁

Yes, but they'll need to do their Wills either 'in anticipation of marriage' or as soon as they get married, Mrs, else intestate rules apply. What they then do with the property / money is their business at that point!

I've made three portions of potatoes ready to roast, have frozen two and will do one tonight for dinner and three portions of mash for the freezer. Have also chopped and frozen all my onions.

The dc went to the shop on their own and bought some sweets, I've said they can have them after lunch.

My Great Aunt married again in her 80s , they were very happy (though some family members less so) . He had his own house etc so they lived there .
