I’ve caught DD’s Lithuania. Me and her are both in my room feeling very sorry for ourselves and DH is managing the boys. I feel crap so she must’ve felt awful bless her.

Mumbassa · 27/01/2020 18:31

Lurgy, not Lithuania!. I have no idea how that happened

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 27/01/2020 19:03

Flouncy, I am quite accident prone so setting fire to it may be a bad idea, but if filmed I could become an interwebz sensation and make enough money to pay for all our Christmases.

FireflyGirl · 27/01/2020 19:04

I did giggle at Lithuania Grin

Hope you're both feeling better soon mumbassa.

I always scrape fluffy bits off cheese - my thinking is that it's just mouldy milk anyway!

I mostly ignore 'best before' dates (as opposed to use by!). DH went through the cupboards when I was pg with DS and chucked everything that was out of date!! Over eager first time father Hmm

Evening.

Got most of what I wanted to cook done today and they're in the freezer now. That should do us a wee while.

I'm a stickler for use by/best before. My stomach isn't the best anyway and there's no way I'm risking it. I do love blue cheese though, so I'm a hypocrite Grin.

It's snowing here now. But I won't be setting foot outside the door if I dont have to.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 27/01/2020 19:55

I am finding the mowing a solar light Flouncy very intriguing. I have set fire to an electric whisk, set fire to a tea towel, burnt myself numerous times leaving the infamous fairy cake injury scar and the roast potato injury scar but I think you have the edge there.

Evening 😁
Been a funny old day . Went to Mum's , she had visitors for hours , we left late once they had gone. Popped to Waitrose then did a bit of shopping came home and went to sleep on the sofa!!! I never do that 🤔 l was knackered though 😴💤😩
Felt better after l can tell you 🤗

PJMasksGhekko · 27/01/2020 20:09

Said pudding is gone, even Dh wouldn't try it Grin So Woolly your husband is safe from death by Christmas pudding Grin
My cupboard looks lovely and clean and clear now Smile
Thank god you didn't injure yourself when I was there why, not sure how much help I'd be Grin I walk into door handles, so my arms always have bruises.

Mrsmadevans · 27/01/2020 20:19

Fluffy it's about 5 miles away from her work , takes 15/ 20 mins in the car. Bus at the top of the estate takes 40 mins if she can't use the car. So it's much better for her. She won't be liable for the congestion charge either thankfully 👍
Programme sounds lovely , l like these sort of thing. Watched Susan Calman in Skye the other morning it was lovely 🤗
Fluffy l am madly envious of 3 ppl here living in t'same town where have l been to miss that 😁
PJ you shoulda woulda coulda eaten it m'dear 😋
Failing that the birds would love it too. 🐧🦜🐣🦢🦚

CrazyBaubles · 27/01/2020 20:20

flouncy I love that you use your cats for evil. I tried sending DDog1 up to wake Si up years ago when she was young and springy and all that happened was she realised the bed is comfy and DH will let her spread out and sleep 🙄
I miss her. DDog2 is too well behaved, he has none of her mischievous nature.

You're very accident prone 😮
My favourite accident was DHs. He was my boyfriend then and was being ever so helpful to my mum because dad was away. He went into the attic to get the decs down. It wasn't fully boarded (was a self build) and he slipped off the beam and went straight through the floor. I was half on a ladder so could clearly see his top half in the attic and his legs dangling through the ceiling 😂 He's still mortified 15 years later!

Fluffy Your poor DS. I absolutely struggle to behave during my working day so I understand his exhaustion.

I think we have a similar work reputation 😂 My boss once told someone who was not happy with me reviewing their work "she's very fair and can spot cut corners or incompetence from a mile away so do the job well or expect to hear lots from her."

Woolly 😂
My sister is considering signing dnephew up for jujitsu for the same reason. It can be £££ though!

Neros what's putting you off rugby for your ds?

PJ are you keeping the Christmas pudding to use on a disliked family member / unwelcome Christmas guest? Xmas Grin

Firefly we're very much a sniff it and decide if it's edible camp here. I think sell by / use by dates are extra cautious so you don't sue and encourage waste so you have to buy more.

Sometimes your body takes over and makes you have what you need MrsMad. You obviously needed the sleep.

My face is still sore ☹️ I had a FaceTime consultation with my friend who is a nurse and her pharmacist husband. Confirmed what you told me Wreck so using my eczema steroid cream and emollient is good along with antihistamines.

I'm feeling sorry for myself so now I'm finally home it's pjs and blanket on the sofa and having a catch with DH and / or the dog.

PJMasksGhekko · 27/01/2020 20:20

Mrs I missed about the house, do you have pics Grin

Mrsmadevans · 27/01/2020 20:20

Mumba you poor things, now if that were me l would be seriously thinking l had the coronavirus l am such a worry guts! Hope you both feel better soon m'dear Smile

Mrsmadevans · 27/01/2020 20:24

I do have pics PJ 😁

Mumbassa · 27/01/2020 20:48

I’m the same as you, neros, I won’t touch anything that’s gone past the best before date. DH will eat anything, he’s got a hard stomach, nothing phases it.

I love a nap on the sofa, mrs, it’s my favourite thing to do when the big two are at school and it’s just me and DS2. Don’t get me started about the coronavirus, I know it’s so silly as I’ve been nowhere near anywhere with it, but I’ve been down DH’s ear all night convinced I’ve got it. Poor sod😂

I hope your face clears up with the creams, crazy.

I’m clumsy too, flouncy, I don’t like going near knives and scissors because of it.

Mumbassa · 27/01/2020 20:51

Cross post, mrs, I haven’t seen the new pictures. It looks even nicer! I love the kitchen

Mrsmadevans · 27/01/2020 21:01

Crazy, l used Oil of Ugly once too, l have called it that ever since it burnt me it burnt my skin off my face too, it was horrible. they must use something awful in it damn stuff Hmm
Hope your face is feeling better now m'dear Flowers
You must miss Ddog1 so much bless you sweetheart Star
I can imagine how your Dh felt bless him it sounds hilarious but he was so lucky he didn't damage anything other than his pride Grin
Cwtch up and have a nice relax m'dear Smile
Fanny poor Dh Grin naughty naughty puss cats Grin
My Mum's visitors were going on about theirs today , they wanted to take the cats to the vets for a check up/ flea injection and they couldn't catch the bgrs Grin they knew exactly what was going on lol. Crafty clever Cats ! Grin I have just realised you have a lot of accidents m'dear Shock

PJMasksGhekko · 27/01/2020 21:10

Looks lovely Mrs, and perfect for your Dd Grin

I could have given it to the dog, she will literally eat anything, grapes the other day which are apparently poisonous to them, does she care? NopeGrin Was she ok after eating them? Yep Hmm

NerosFiddle · 27/01/2020 21:11

Crazy DS is very small for his age. He is just about on the centile for his age.

Mrs when will things be official for your dd?

Here's a pic of our "snow"

Mrsmadevans · 27/01/2020 21:15

Mumba, Dd2 loves the house , it's only small mind but perfect for a couple and a child. This is what l was worried about , future proofing her in case she meets someone and has a child, you really don't want to be moving when you are financially needing every penny, far better to get it sorted before it is needed . I am meeting trouble halfay l know Hmm
l knew we thought alike Grin first thing l think about is the bloody Corona virus bloody thing. Hmm
I had a dream last night too. l dreamt l was diagnosed with Dementia Hmm it was horrible . I woke up scratching my hands for some reason, DH said l was using one of the Dementia twiddle Muffs in my sleep Hmm although l suppose it's funny in a sick kind of way Hmm MEN!
Woolly l eat everything that is out of date here Grin , l never have a bad tum either tbf . I mean, l do the sniff n stare test before l eat it though , and l always do the 3 sec rule when l drop stuff on the floor Grin
Nero have you got snow? ahhh lovely l wish we could have some, although it's too damn cold for it l think! Hasn't it got to be a certain temp before it will snow ? Or am l imagining it Grin

Ahh thank you PJ , DD2 loves the house , funny enough our Amy used to eat grapes and normal chocolate and lived till she was nearly 17 . I didn't know about chocolate and grapes being poisonous to dogs either Hmm

PJMasksGhekko · 27/01/2020 21:24

Very jealous of the snow, it's going to be getting quite mild here, I might even get some washing on the line Grin

Last time I had a bug I was pregnant with DD2, she's 6 in July, omg I never want it again and touch wood, it's stayed away.

We had an email from the school today about County Lines, it's quite scary, I'm wondering if somethings been happening as we had police there a few days last week, scary stuff.
