Morning!
And so the wind carries on. It's bloody constant here and exhausting. How anything is still standing is beyond me. It's meant to drop to 40+mph tomorrow early doors, then to 20+mph from about mid-morning. I can't wait!
My cold is grim, but manageable with tablets / medicine (I have a go-to one at night which also helps me sleep).
Crazy, are you either ovulating or on your period? They're two guaranteed times that I retain water and weigh more. Don't be disheartened, I'm sure it's a blip.
I hung the washing out this morning. We have some line down the side return which, if there's no wind or sun, is too sheltered for proper drying. However, it's useful in windy weather as it's not as windy as the main garden and, even if things come off, they can only go a short distance!
As for the surprise trial, Crazy, we either get the trial date when we get the timetable (courts like Manchester do this) or, with this court we file a document giving dates of availability in a 3 week window and the court then lists it in that window. We always tick a box to say that we won't accept less than 3 weeks' notice. Yesterday I rang the court to see what was happening, as we'd not heard anything, and was told that the trial is on 26 Feb (I had been told that the Defence was being struck out so was waiting for Judgment and a Disposal - 15 minute quantum hearing - date). I have to prep from 14 days prior, so it's thrown this week's diary a bit. The Defendant's solicitor wasn't pleased either (she wants to settle, but can't get instructions from her client!).
Blacksmiths, so many candles! I'd be spoilt for choice! Eeny, meeny, miney, mo, I think.
