Hi chips How are you?

MrsMad Your sister is so bloody horrible! Like Fluffy I am furious on your behalf 🤬

I'm glad you like the Folly. I lived not to far from it for a few years as a child - it makes me feel at home.

Rugby was awful yesterday.
Not sure what we thought we were doing! And to make it worse the England / Scotland match was really boring too.

Keepers road doesn't surprise me - the wind must be strong enough to blow your socks off up there (love the pond though)!

Your letter sounds kind of terrifying Fluffy, I'm sure you'll get your money back quickly.

why lol at you spotting the neighbour on twitter 😂

I've been nursing a headache all day so will be giving in and going to bed soon. Bloody weather is also making the dog all twitchy and he won't settle so can't wait for this storm to pass.

PJMasksGhekko · 09/02/2020 20:10

Evening!!

Yes the patient was there, it has been noted today about what she is like around food, so it's going in her notes, she kept on wanting more and there was still 1 patient left to eat, tried explaining to her I couldn't give her anymore (she was already on her 4th lot of food) due to this so off she goes to the staff nurse moaning again, he comes and gets his food and I gave him the rest of what she wanted, oops, but she had already had more than her fair share, she hates being told no Grin

sideorderofchips · 09/02/2020 21:59

Life got a tad messy in the new year. Husband moved out, I've had a chest infection, broken finger, chemicals burn and have to have surgery on ym shoulder later in the year but I'm still standing!

PJMasksGhekko · 09/02/2020 22:17

So sorry sideorderofchips, how do you feel about it all? Especially your husband moving out?
Flowers for you x

Mrsmadevans · 09/02/2020 22:55

Chips l am so sorry it came to this in the end Flowers
You poor thing it never rains but it pours, hope you are feeling much better now Smile
PJ she sounds a right one, I think you have been more than kind & very patient ! Smile
Why that isn't too bad 20 mins driving tomorrow and the day in the office because at least you will be safe in the dry and warm if this storm continues Smile it's great when you find ppl you can have a rapport with online who you know Grin
Crazy l hope your head is feeling much better, l give up re sister Hmm
the folly and the park are just lovely .l love the park especially because l used to go there when l was little Smile
The Dh & Dd2 were very disappointed with the rugby too but this is the first year for a new coach so got to build it up again l suppose Smile

Morning!

It's rather windy still. I'm dreading my imminent walk to the station!

Side, it sounds hectic with you. Are you relieved that your husband has left now? I know you decided to split over a year ago, but wasn't sure if you'd reconciled or not.

How did you break your finger? And what op are you having on your shoulder?

PJ, she sounds like a nightmare. I'd struggle to be polite!

Crazy, I hope you feel better today.

Right, teeth and to leave the house for me. Joy.

A gazebo taking out a tree AND a fence sounds dangerous and expensive!

Flouncy, I hope your headache goes too.

I have a cold, but I'm not too bad with it for now.

I made the train (there's no way I'd be using a brolly, even if it was raining!). The window has blown open on it. I seem to be shielded from the wind intake weirdly so am leaving it!

Only two days of this wind to go. It's bonkers!

Mrsmadevans · 10/02/2020 08:04

Morning everyone 😀
the wind is still terrible here and it sounds like it's just as bad with you all as well!
There is a lovely blue sky out there so hopefully it's going to be a nice day if windswept🙄🤗 God knows.
Off to Mum's early, she wants us to take her to Bob's 🤗 so who am l to stand in her way she isn't stupid or senile and they make each other happy ♥️
She wants me to put flowers on Dad's grave for Valentine's day but l will leave it until this weather has turned.
Glad you caught the train ok Fluffy 😊 hope your cold is better & you have a good productive day today and get rid of some of the mountain of to do 👏
Fanny that weather sounds quite bad with you there, l can't see any damage about the place here hopefully 😀
I think my sister is an evil cow too She sucks the joy out if everything. She told my Mum '2 days a week is quite sufficient to see Bob' 🙄
Yeah right 😠
I hope you are feeling better today, have you tried doing the nasal wash every day , it's horrible but works. My friend has to do it or her life is a misery .
Better shift have a great day everyone 😀

blacksmiths09 · 10/02/2020 10:26

Very jealous flouncy Grin

Mrs I am another who doesn't like your sister, how dare she be so rude and horrible Angry

Cold here, we've had sleet, and still windy, not as bad as yesterday but windy enough.

CrazyBaubles · 10/02/2020 14:22

Oh chips, what a hard start to the year! I'm sorry about your H, how are you and the dc holding up?

flouncy aside from migraines, sinus headaches are the worst, you have my sympathy.
Jealous of your snow!! ⛄️

Fluffy let us know you made it to work without being blown away!

MrsMad your mum and Bob sounds so sweet together. What difference does it make to your sis if she sees him 2, 3 or 7 days a week?
My nan was on her own for around 10 years after my grandad died and she was so lonely, it would have been nice for her to have companionship (aside from her neighbour opposite who lost her husband around the same time and they used to go on day trips all over the place using their bus passes)!

blacksmith we are still alternating between ' crackling fire" and a red one which I think is winter berries so it very much smells like Christmas in my house.

My headache is going away slowly. I'm just so tired which I think isn't helping.

Work then weigh in today - then home to a warm bath, pjs, cross stitch and an early night.

Weather is all over the place here - started blue sky and cold, went grey, horrendous wind and rain, now seems to have calmed down again for 5 🙄

NoWordForFluffy · 10/02/2020 17:30

Ooh, snow! I don't envy you that, flouncy. My friend had some in Hucknall too.

I'm very fond of your maths too!

Blacksmith, I wouldn't want to wish time away. Which scent of candle do you have?

Crazy, I can mark myself as safe from the wind. For now! I still have to make it home from the station. Grin

Good luck at the weigh in.

I'm having an early night too as my cold has got worse. I feel like I achieved something today, thank god. Though I did have a surprise Trial fling at me by the Court, which was good fun!

Evening everyone Smile
Fluffy that sounds exciting! l am sure l would love it if it were me .
Well done on getting through the work quagmire lol, hope your cold does one too Flowers
Crazy , l know l am pleased for them both & they are sweet together bless them Smile
Good luck on the weigh in too! Have you had any sleet or snow there? We have some on the Blorenge opposite us and l wondered if you had any with you as well?
Hope your headache is gone now, cwtch up to Dh and get the telly on the crash detectives is on at half past, the case with the young nurse who drove under the influence of Tramaols is on it .

Mrsmadevans · 10/02/2020 20:38

Fanny you had a good smattering by the looks , it's lovely Smile
Grin @ your maffs Grin = 48 hrs Grin
PJ did you have the horrible patient tonight? I know my sister is like a witch honestly l don't know anyone else like her !

blacksmiths09 · 10/02/2020 21:17

NoWordForFluffy - I have a few to choose from!

January has lasted for about 5 months so far...has it not ended yet?! It's Countdown to Christmas 2020, Thread 2!
PJMasksGhekko · 10/02/2020 22:20

Mrs, I don't work during the week, so she was someone else's problem Grin

CrazyBaubles · 10/02/2020 22:35

Fluffy how on earth do you get a surprise trial thrown at you? I thought people prepped for ages before a trial?

NoWordForFluffy · 11/02/2020 07:17

Morning!

And so the wind carries on. It's bloody constant here and exhausting. How anything is still standing is beyond me. It's meant to drop to 40+mph tomorrow early doors, then to 20+mph from about mid-morning. I can't wait!

My cold is grim, but manageable with tablets / medicine (I have a go-to one at night which also helps me sleep).

Crazy, are you either ovulating or on your period? They're two guaranteed times that I retain water and weigh more. Don't be disheartened, I'm sure it's a blip.

I hung the washing out this morning. We have some line down the side return which, if there's no wind or sun, is too sheltered for proper drying. However, it's useful in windy weather as it's not as windy as the main garden and, even if things come off, they can only go a short distance!

As for the surprise trial, Crazy, we either get the trial date when we get the timetable (courts like Manchester do this) or, with this court we file a document giving dates of availability in a 3 week window and the court then lists it in that window. We always tick a box to say that we won't accept less than 3 weeks' notice. Yesterday I rang the court to see what was happening, as we'd not heard anything, and was told that the trial is on 26 Feb (I had been told that the Defence was being struck out so was waiting for Judgment and a Disposal - 15 minute quantum hearing - date). I have to prep from 14 days prior, so it's thrown this week's diary a bit. The Defendant's solicitor wasn't pleased either (she wants to settle, but can't get instructions from her client!).

Blacksmiths, so many candles! I'd be spoilt for choice! Eeny, meeny, miney, mo, I think.

Morning everyone 😀
Day off from Mum's today 😀 weather still very blowy here although sunny and blue skies at the moment. I am not trusting it at all though , in the last day we have had torrential rain, Gale force wind, sunny blue skies and snow 😀
Fluffy, after doing all this prep for the trial l hope it goes through for you 🙄 l have a feeling it will collapse in the long run and the client will settle , having their pound of flesh first 😁
Glad you had a good sleep despite your cold 💐👏👍
Crazy don't worry about the half pound it's nothing you will have a a bigger loss next week you will see 🤗👏💐
The nurse was so devious she knew the side effects of the tramadol and the citalopram together. I can't get over she walked Scott free for 2 years and would have gotten away with it if the policeman preparing the case for the coroner hadn't spotted it 🙄
Anyway have a good day everyone we are off to Cwmbran to put flowers on my friends memorial and do a little shopio 😁
Have a lovely day everyone 😀

Fanny, yes l am labelled a
'Siopaholic' by my sister 😂
It's a great programme l think it is only on BBC Wales. If you can get it on iPlayer it is very interesting 🤗
I think you would like it 😊
I took Tramadol for my back pain last year and it was an excellent pain relief but l was so careful with it because I knew how strong they were . I took everything I could get my hands on tbh 🙄😂
You did really well to go cold Turkey well done 💐👏👍
Freezing cold here It says 6 c but l think the wind chill is making it feel much colder ❄️ Brr however it has picked up and atm it is beautiful out sunny and blue skies 🌞💙 just lovely 😀
