Thanks fluffy

Mrsmadevans · 23/01/2020 20:06

Love the thread title Grin
Thank you Fluffy

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/01/2020 20:12

Thank you Fluffy.

Watching the footy with a glass of wine and my crochet. Bliss.

WreckTangled · 23/01/2020 20:18

I need to get a new car now. Otherwise the mileage to my new base is going to eat into my personal mileage and I'll end up having to pay for it. If I have my own car they will protect my travel for four years meaning I can claim from my current base to my new one and back each day which will be about £12. Sad I'm really stressed now and have a headache. Think I'll go to bed to try and sleep it off.

Mrsmadevans · 23/01/2020 20:51

Wreck l am so sorry sweetheart that just sucks. Can you give the NHS lease car up without it being too expensive for you ?
You could lease a car yourself, they do deals on HotUk deals all the time like this one .
www.hotukdeals.com/deals/kia-xceed-lease-13639-per-month-with-no-deposit-for-24-months-3390958
Bless you sweetie Flowers

WreckTangled · 23/01/2020 20:54

It'll just be a months payment as a penalty fee for early termination. I can't do a private one as I do too many miles and need business insurance so it'll just end up costing too much. Luckily the bank of dad has come to the rescue! Just need to find a car now... I'll miss my fancy car Grin

Mrsmadevans · 23/01/2020 21:07

Ahh Wreck l am so sorry , hopefully the car from your Dad (well done Dad) Smile will be lovely and you will make money on the deal from your work hopefully.

Mumbassa · 23/01/2020 21:09

Thank you fluffy!

I’m so sorry, wreck, but at least dad has come to the rescue👏🏻

NoWordForFluffy · 23/01/2020 21:18

What a nightmare, Wreck. Thank goodness for your dad.

What will you get?

FireflyGirl · 23/01/2020 21:44

I was going to post on the thread, then found there was no room!! Thanks for the new one Fluffy.

Allotment/gardening people, have you seen the offer on seeds from Sutton's? You pay £4.99 postage and get a tin for storing peas/beans (none included, I don't think) and 10 packets of seeds. They are sow by this year, and it's a lucky dip, but might be worth a try. People have been getting broccoli/ Let me know if you want the code.

MrsM that house looks ideal! Bit sad that she's moving away, but looks like the best exterior Wink property you've posted. And as you say, with a new build you know there won't be issues. Does she get to specify carpets/decoration as well?

Well done your dad, wreck Grin

Also, blatant boast (as DH was not suitably impressed!) I have lost 7lb since Christmas. Admittedly, at least half was probably put on over Christmas, but I'm still proud of myself Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 23/01/2020 21:57

I did see that offer, Firefly, but I have so many seeds already that I decided against it! I did buy more bulbs today though. 😂😂

Well done on the weight loss too (and to Crazy; I forgot to say the other day)! You're doing well.

FireflyGirl · 23/01/2020 22:12

I am planning to plant everything straight into the allotment (at the right time, obviously) and see what grows. Then at least we can show we are trying to cultivate it Grin

Mrsmadevans · 23/01/2020 22:16

I bought a big box of wild flower seeds for the bees and butterflies yesterday from Home Bargains . They were 2.99 for a great big box .
Firefly that is amazing well done ! Flowers
Thank you for the positive comments re the house m'dear, it's a huge step but it is a lovely house and a nice area, so she could do a lot worse. It is decorated in white emulsion all over and she has to carpet it herself but the price she is paying for the house is so good it is a drop in the ocean compared to what she could be having to pay. She is really lucky Smile

Mumbassa · 23/01/2020 22:26

Very well done on the weight loss, firefly!🎉🎉

Decorating my house was the most exciting part for me, mrs. She is very lucky, I do agree. And the house is beautiful.

WreckTangled · 24/01/2020 03:18

Eugh can't sleep.

Don't know what I'll get fluffy. Can't afford much really but I drive a lot of back roads and spend a lot of time in the car so don't want anything too crap.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/01/2020 03:47

I can't sleep either. I'm also thinking about a car!

You need a reliable workhorse type really, don't you?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 24/01/2020 04:03

Yes. The trouble is, in our price range, it's all Peugeot's and fiat pandas! Otherwise ones with outrageously high mileage. I've seen a kuga I like for

NoWordForFluffy · 24/01/2020 04:18

If you do high mileage you'll suit a diesel. It's getting the balance right on your budget to get what you need. My friend had problems with her Kuga and didn't even keep it a year.

The Peugeot Diesel engine is a cracking engine though. Even if they have a reputation as a brand!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 24/01/2020 04:22

Oh no really? My friend had a kuga for years. My mum has one now but it's new. It's 4wd which is inviting living in the sticks. There's a Peugeot 2008 diesel too I saw but the mileage is slightly higher.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/01/2020 04:30

If the diesel has been looked after it should go on for ages.

The diesel Kuga sounds like a tractor! This one was only a few years old but had an expensive fault so she got rid rather than fix it!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 24/01/2020 04:46

I don't know what to do really. I can't find the Peugeot now to have another look Hmm

WreckTangled · 24/01/2020 04:51

Oh I found it. We always swore we would never get another Peugeot though every one I've had someone has crashed into it!

NoWordForFluffy · 24/01/2020 04:56

That does seem rather jinxed!

None of those are in my price range though. Apart from the fiat panda and I'm not old enough for one of those Grin I will keep looking but I don't have much time really. I really might as well get up. I suppose you'll be off to work soon?
