Am I the only one who prefers the warm white Xmas lights. Why have we gone cold white in the uk. Am in the Netherlands now and it is all warm white. I think so much more classy. And don’t get me started on blue lights. Simply awful no?

No they aren't.

My next door neighbour but one has a full nativity in the back garden, using the summerhouse and garden figures as the stable/joseph & mary! Theyve also got two life size raindeer and the rabbit hutch is doubling as the crib. Xmas Grin The whole f’king thing is blue though. Makes me think the police have been called to a murder everytime I see it.

We have cold white lights because they match the herd of deer living in the front garden and the polar bears on the porch. I quite like having cold ones outside and warm ones inside.

I can just about see why flashing blue might get mistaken for the emergency services for a split second, but not static blue. I agree with cold white outside (goes well with blue and looks icy and snowy) and warm white inside for a cosier feel.

Warm white lights are lovely. Multi coloured with bulbs are lovely. Multi coloured with LEDs are ok. Cool white are ok outside. Blue are horrible horrible horrible, indoors or outdoors.

And flashing lights of any kind should be banned, they're just hateful.

The house over from us has one set of warm static lights and a set of cold flashing lights on their Christmas tree and it deeply upsets me. I don't understand why they have to flash so fast either! Isn't it awful to be in the room with them? It's bad enough seeing them through the window!

I prefer warm white. The ones I have on my tree because they were cheap and available in Wilco are cool white.

As a migraine sufferer it's got to be warm white and definitely static. Anything bright white or flashing brings on a migraine really quickly. Plus I think warm lights looks warm and cosy, the bright, cold white lights just don't give out warmth or coziness.
