Christmas Day breakfast must have items

What are your must have items on your Christmas morning breakfast?

Champagne!

We usually have croissants with bacon/eggs/smoked salmon and people eat what they want.

Dd has chocolate from her stocking,I have 3or 4 shortbread fingers with my cuppa&dp doesn't do brekky so just has couple of coffees.
We are going out for Christmas lunch this yr for the first time ever! Tables booked for 1 can't wait!!

@Serin but it doesn't taste like McDonald's ones. I've got a burger press but I prefer doing it by hand. Less washing up lol

We always have pork pie. I don't know why

We take it in turns to choose. Last year we had fruit salad and spiced winter muffins (7yo ds's year to choose). DH will choose this year so I suspect it will be a full English but being veggie, I won't eat it. I am going to have Christmas tree shaped crumpets with poached egg, avocado and chilli flakes.

Toasted muffins with crispy parma ham, a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Orange juice. No alcohol.

@cookiemonster5 they have them in Morrisons too! 😊

We have croissants and pain au chocolat (the frozen ones you put in the oven so they're lovely and warm) and fruit

We have a fairly substantial breakfast because we don’t eat Christmas dinner until mid afternoon. Usually sausage sandwiches or homemade (massive, hot from the oven 😋) cinnamon rolls or pastries with fruit salad.

DS - smoked salmon, blinis, caviar (well, roe) & sour cream

DH & I have Eggs Benedict Royale or bacon butties.

Chilli scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with blinis.
There’s only me and DD2 (22) at home now so we exchange gifts Christmas Eve then have a lie in until about 9ish Christmas morning. Breakfast keeps us going until we have a late lunch around 3ish.

Smoked salmon, croissants, avocado and champagne :)

Kir Royale or something else fizzy, cake or biscuits, or crumpets. Later on possibly a cheese & ham filled croissant.

Who's doing all the washing up after these breakfasts??

Not Bucks Fizz!!!!! Yucky sickly overrated drink.

Usually cheeses left over from Xmas eve buffet.

Often will cook fresh pastries or crumpets etc to go with it.

Only ds and I.

We go to my Karen's for lunch at 1.30ish so need something to keep us going but that won't fill us up too much!

I don't know how people can drink alcohol at breakfast time. I'd be fast asleep all day if I did that.

Scrambled eggs smoked salmon champagne.

Selection box, a chocolate orange & a Lindt reindeer.

Slices of the Christmas ham, boiled eggs & English mustard.

Bacon sandwiches around 11am then dinner around 5pm.

Dishwasher. It works hard on Christmas Day

We've had bacon and egg sandwiches often but also like smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels. Coffee and Bucks Fizz with.

Chocolate croissants and Danish pastry

Or smoked salmon and scrambled egg, plus English muffins

Fresh orange juice and coffee. Then get dressed, then champagne. You've got to at least wait till 11am
