What are your must have items on your Christmas morning breakfast?

OP posts:
Serin · 17/11/2019 11:29

I make bacon and egg "Mcmuffins" complete with a plastic cheese slice.
Or smoked salmon and scrambled egg muffins for those that prefer.
Bucks fizz and gingerbread coffee.

Bickles · 17/11/2019 11:29

Pain au chocolat and posh fresh orange juice.
I do move to prosecco quite quickly though!

cookiemonster5 · 17/11/2019 11:29

Oh and chocolate. It's the only day of the year I'll allow the kids to have chocolate before noon and they love it. We all munch chocolate coins or ones off the tree while we open Santa presents then it's breakfast and the rest of the presents.

wlv12 · 17/11/2019 11:29

Sausage/bacon sandwiches, croissants, orange/apple juice for the kids, coffee for the adults

Serin · 17/11/2019 11:31

cookiemonster5 Its easy to make your own sausage patties, just skin a regular sausage and stick the meat in a burger press.
Tip, line the burger press with a bit of baking paper first.
Burger press is only about a fiver on Amazon.

FurryDogMother · 17/11/2019 11:32

Smoked salmon, softly scrambled egg, soda bread, chives. Freshly squeezed orange juice, double espresso, pain au chocolat. Done.

Should read while rest of family at mass

Kahlua4me · 17/11/2019 11:52

If with my family we have scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, croissants, orange juice and champagne.

If we are with inlaws we have a full fry up with cups of tea.

Both are perfect 😀😀

ipswichwitch · 17/11/2019 11:53

Usually get croissants, pain au chocolat, Danish pastries, cinnamon buns, panettone, and the cereal the kids badger me for all year long and I won’t won’t them have normally (too sugary). We don’t eat Christmas dinner til 4, when the excitement has worn off a bit so the DC pick at the pastries until then.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 17/11/2019 12:02

My DH usually makes eggs royale and it is the very best thing. I think I look forward to it more than Christmas dinner. Also I can have a Buck's Fizz as I'll no longer be pregnant!

goose1964 · 17/11/2019 12:02

Bucks Fizz, scramb eggs. It has to keep us going until dinner mid afternoon.

gavisconismyfriend · 17/11/2019 12:06

@reginafelangee. You forgot the fruit pudding!
