Morning! Brand new thread for the new week!

Frange! Time goes so quickly!

Maverick doesn’t look too pleased that I’m home 😂

So far, my beverages out of the house have been a Black Forest hot chocolate and now beer with DH as we met up for lunch after i had physio!

Frange, I had to hold it vaguely together. Barely anyone else seemed to be crying!

PSB, DD will be the same if school does boosters. She's amazingly conscientious for a 5 year old (and well ahead of where she should be, but she's very much my child on that front!).

I think with DD it's because she enjoys schoolwork. The only thing DD might have a problem with is speed, particularly with multiplication, but I don't think all the boosters in the world will improve that.

Both of ours enjoy it (so far!). But speed is also DD's issue and you can't train that out of them, they have to learn that skill!

Trees done. All I need to do now is put all the empty gubbins back in the garage, hoover (again) and nip out to B&Q for a wreath hanger.

I managed to cast off the second last scarf last night - this is the one I started in March!! So only 1 left to finish knitting, and hopefully just 1 night sewing in ends. I will try to remember to do a photo before I wrap them all up. Bought some books for DNieces at lunch. Currently panicked about what to wear to party on Saturday (national dress - doesn't have to be your country - has been specified - when it's usually just Christmas jumpers! So racking my brains for ideas - I may try to root out a pair of harem pants I have).

Work bananas though, so better get back to that.

Mrs Thankfully my carer was grand! She'll be here again on Friday :) She also played UNO and board games with my kid which was nice.

It's normal to have visceral reactions to things like that. Just remember that the person chose to be an organ donor and likely would be so happy to know someone got a miracle from their donation.

Acey I'm sorry you woke up all yucky in your chest. Addie's room is looking fabulous. I absolutely adore it.

I slept wrong and my neck and shoulders are so messed up I can't really move my head well today. It's super super unpleasant and painful.

Seafood Is your DD doing better today?

red I'm very very against standardized testing. They tried to force my severely dyslexic daughter to do it while telling her 'oh yeah if you don't pass this you'll not go on to the next grade' which is horrible to tell an already stressed child who already has anxiety problems with testing!

We homeschool because we had nothing but horrible issues with our local schools and it was so bad. One day the principal had my daughter call me while on speaker phone because I had forgotten to sign her little assignment book and proceeded to verbally harass my child until she was sobbing!

frange I hope the house viewing goes ok!! Please keep us updated!! Also I hate cliques. I never fit into any of them because I'm more....alternative than other folks in my area haha

fluffy Were your testing as kids easier? Ours was just as bad as the current testing. At some points I got so sick of multiple choice questions I just flipped a coin. It was mindless.

I never shared a photo of my lit up candles last night so here's 3rd night candles! And here's a photo of Lilah for you all too.

We are having scrambled eggs for breakfast. Hopefully they sit well on my stomach. My first food that is not bread or bananas since Saturday hahaha

My house is really really cold today for some reason. It's 20 degreees C in here. I'm honestly considering a fireplace electric tv stand to help keep this place a little warmer in the winter. I think the kitties would like sleeping near it too.

We've put teeny lights outside the house today; they're lovely!

I've had to cancel wreath-making as my MiL is ill. Never mind, we do have a pre-lit one from Next, thankfully!

frangelico ignore them, I avoid turning up early for the school run for this purpose! I definitely don't like the idea of school ground politics. I'm 28 but look much younger too, I'm sure my height plays a part.

wheels the back stitching is fine, it makes it stand out :) An electric fire sounds like a great idea to me, it'll make the room nice and warm.

Acey woohooo for nursery being almost done! I have to wait to paint as the nursery is currently DS2's bedroom, he'll be sharing with ds1 in a few months time as we've gotten them a custom bunk bed.We're painting it a whitey cream colour as we're not finding out the sex and it'll be easier when we sell.

DD is still getting new spots, I hope they go away soon! she fell in a puddle on the school run so was shivery and miserable all the way home, snuggled under a blanket now at least.

We didn't find out the sex with either of ours. It's the only times I've ever been happy to wait for something!

PSB semicolons are tricky little jerks if I may say so myself. I'm 34 and still have issues with it!

seafood Thank you! Right now my kitties are hiding under the bathroom sink because it's next to the water heater and is super toasty. So I think they would love a fire and we could put their little cat beds in front of it.

Light yellows would be a great accent for the white since you aren't finding out the sex of your little one.

The last Christmas movie ended up so great! Onto another one about a professional organizer and a single dad of two kids who's overwhelmed at Christmas

Been to see the house and we absolutely love it, the school is literally around the corner so won’t have to drive and can have a bit of a lie in. There’s some good jobs for DH there and prospects for me in the future. It isn’t very big but there’s a cellar downstairs that I could make into a play room for the kids. We’re just seeing if our offer will be accepted.
