Morning! Brand new thread for the new week!

Thanks everyone. I'm just a bit stressed because we have no money. Dh is owed quite a bit (builder) and so everything is going on a credit card at the moment and I hate it! I feel like we both work for nothing. Blah.

Anyway. Work today. We've got a frost too ❄️

Sorry to hear that wreck. I have heard of so many tradespeople who are owed money and I think it's disgraceful. If you employ someone to do a job you pay them in the agreed timescale. Angry for you

Morning! I got up at 4.45, got DD up at 5.35 for her reading booster, she left at 7.30.

Wheelie the boosters are revision classes for exams at the end of yr6 (grade 5?). 😆

Neros I didn't have time to even switch the tv on this morning. I got up late, couldn't find my tights then had to de-ice the car. Got to work 15 minutes late and all stressed 😩

Wreck that sucks, especially because you know people will try and put off paying now until after Christmas.
My dad is a tradey and puts my mum on the case in November to chase us any money owing but he is always annoyed at Christmas with the amount of people who delay payment. It's so cheeky I think - you don't pick up something from a shop and pay in 6 weeks when you have the money do you? 😡

MrsMad My geography is rubbish. We often walk an old railway line that runs from Blaenavon to Newport - I'm assuming that's a different one?

I'm in work until 5 but am starting with a cough / cold / tickly throat thing so I'm a bit irritable but my colleague has put up fairy lights and a little tree which is nice.
Still working on a plan to get my decs down from the attic tomorrow and up on Thursday - I want twinkly lights in my living room

I honestly thought I was just being a wimp! Ah I’m sorry you suffer with it, it’s awful isn’t it! I feel fine in myself, just this cough sounds horrible. Someone at work visibly flinched when I started coughing earlier

Wreck I'm so sorry! I hope folks get your husband paid as soon as they can. My husband's grandfather was a painter and they always had issues around the holidays with folks trying to put off painting.

I have a new home carer coming today and I'm kind of scared. I hope she ends up being nice. She'll be here from noon to 4:30 to help me clean up around the house and get some stuff done.

How's the weather for everyone? It's 33 high of 30 today (1 high of 2) and cloudy. It looks like we might get some rain/snow sometime today too.

I might go out on the job with my hubby later. I really like being able to get out of the house with him and feel like I'm helping.

crazy That's good news! And being a thrifter I find and look for Christmas items all year round so being able to talk with you guys in February and I find something awesome will be great.

My husband went into work very very early today. Which is ok because he'll make up the hours he'll be off on Thursday for a memorial candle lighting we are attending.

Well that turned into a manic day!

My train to work hit something on the track, so we all got turfed off at the next station. I managed to get into the centre of Liverpool, but then had to walk the 2 ish miles to work from there. I was a bit late, funnily enough!

Then I've been doing today's and tomorrow's tasks, so had loads to do. I didn't do too badly as it goes. Still plenty more for Thursday though.

Evening!
Just got home, we’ve got Addie some of the cutest outfits ever, I’ll upload pics over the next few days. Also managed to get the baby monitor, sheets for the Moses basket and cot and some other stuff too. It feels so real that she’s going to be here by the end of March and I can’t wait
We went out for dinner which was nice. My feet are so swollen so I’m looking forward to a nice soak later. I’ve ordered some extra wide fit boots and flats, hopefully they’ll be delivered soon and be more comfortable.

Maverick is the same at night, seems to think it’s playtime and has selective deafness when I tell him no haha! Love the pic of Lilah, she’s getting big now! wheels I love seeing your photos, so festive! I love all the candy canes on that photo. If the front of our house wasn't paved over I would love the christmas path lights. Definitely turn it into a cross stitch display, why not? it's lovely work that should be admired. I hope the visit with the home carer goes well, crossing everything that they're nice. Chilly and frosty here this morning, about 35 fahrenheit and going into the 40's in the afternoon looking at a converter.

Fluffy It looks brilliant :) wooohooo for 10 days of work left! Sorry about your commute today, commuting sucks enough on a good let alone when things go wrong. That 2 mile cancels out a big hot chocolate and cake slice I think.

Wooly I think that's a great way of doing things, breaking it down into manageable bits. I still need to do our meal plans for this month! I'm sorry things are so stressful right now, DH used to be self employed so I know the feeling of waiting for money to materialise, I hope you're not kept waiting much longer. .

Acey How exciting! I love painting jobs, The colour looks lovely :) the shade will change as it dries and sunlight makes a big difference too. I picked up our paint at a closing down sale at the weekend - £8 for 3 tins instead of £40 something! I have to wait till next month though to paint :( My daughter doesn't really like chips, I'm very heartbroken. (she probably gets it from dh, the weirdo).

AFM - DD has chickenpox, probably only a matter of time before DS2 catches it, it feels like crap luck since she came down with hand, foot & mouth disease on bonfire night! She has her nursery play on monday so I hope she'll be well enough to go.
