Acey I love your stocking and it sounds like Addie's room is coming along great!! Lilah is getting so big. Hard to believe she wasn't even 2 pounds when we got her!

Seafood I need to order more frames to turn my corner into a display haha

So I'm not sure if I've ruined my tea towel cross stitch or not with the color I'm using for the back stitch. I'm so overly critical of my own art stuff I just cant tell. Thoughts?

Also my carer is awesome!! :)

Wheelie - I love the cross stitch, I think it looks grand! Aye it certainly is coming along lovely thank you :) I’ve got pink storage and furniture to go in there too once it’s all painted, plus Addie’s cot is pink too I need to order a wardrobe and chest of drawers, although that’s not urgent :) we will get there in the end!

I don’t know what Addie is doing, but my back is locking up I’m currently enjoying a bowl of apple cinnamon toast crunch cereal, out of my American goodie box from Paddy and a strawberry milkshake too, Addie loves milk

Wheelie - I cant believe she wasn’t even 2 pounds when you got her, poor wee girl! She’s clearly thriving in your wonderful care though

I think the issue with my stitch is that I'm used to doing this on lighter fabrics so the light colored backstitching just looks weird to me haha

Morning!

Mrs she probably does mind, but she knows the quicker she gets dressed, the later she can get up! 😂 It's a 20 minute walk to school, the booster's at 8 so they don't miss normal lessons. She also has 2 boosters after school every week, although the maths teacher's in Shanghai at the moment, so no maths booster. 😆

Made the mistake of laying completely flat in bed, so I woke up extremely wheezy and chesty. All is good now though

Have just heard about a baby being born using a dead person's womb , not sure how l feel about that , despite having suffered infertility for 13 yrs and nearly cracking up after 2 m/c l don't know if l would be up for that , it just doesn't seem right somehow. Yet l know if it were me l would be very happy if my womb was used in this way. Very odd reaction from me to something l thought previously amazing 🤔.

Morning! I'm at school waiting for DD's concert to start. Tissues at the ready. Then it's a dash to town to collect some bits before physio at 12!

Just been to drop the boys off at school, absolutely hate the cliquey mums there. I’m only 26 but I honestly look about 15, all they do is snigger and give me dirty looks. It’s horrible.

MrsMad I've never been to Tradegar house I've heard loads about how nice it is though.
Another favourite of ours (although it is quite a distance away) is Castell Coch. Beautiful building and lovely walks around it too.

Today is my Friday 👍🏻👏🏻 I still feel rubbish but I'm finishing a little early and going to FILs for tea. Hopefully then battling the attic to get the decs down ready for tomorrow. I'm losing my Christmas spirit a bit today but hopefully that will bring it back.

Tredegar House is one of our faves too Mrs.

I am passionately opposed to the SATs and depending on the situation by then would consider home schooling DS for year six. I struggle to see how primary teachers can't give secondaries a good indication of the ability of students without forcing SATs preparation on them for a year.

She probably doesn't need it Mrs, she's gifted and talented, but she's happy to go, apart from reading as she has to get up early! 😂

I've just had a lovely breakfast of cheese and mushroom omelette, banana and coffee. 😂

I wouldn't send my G&T child to boosters. I'm not sure I'm even going to let her do SATS if they still exist then! I simply don't think it's worth it.

Though we were always tested at school, but more subtly. Richmond tests anyone?!

I am so hoping they are gone soon fluffy. It was bad enough in my day when year six was spent doing endless past papers and was so dull. At least it was confined to the school day! Like I said I will seriously consider home schooling for a year rather than have DS put under that sort of pressure. Education is going entirely the wrong way IMO.

Dying to get home and carry on painting! This house has been cream since I bought it years ago, so I’m very excited to get it all painted paddy and I are going paint shopping tomorrow for the bathroom and living room paint
I’ve uploaded a pic of one of Addie’s nursery walls, it’s dried fantastic and I love the colour so much. Obviously needs touching up because we couldn’t find the paint brushes yesterday, but I’m really happy with how it’s coming along!

Alright, off for the last half hour at work then we’re going to view the house. DC are going to DSIS’s after school for tea so they’ll be excited for that!. This time in two weeks I’ll have a one day old.
