Morning! Brand new thread for the new week!

DSis offered to have DS for a couple of hours this afternoon while I pack. I couldn't shove him in her car fast enough

Do you remember when you were pregnant and washing all the tiny baby clothes and they were all so cute and you loved it?

I'm on to my Fourth mountain. The novelty has well and truly worn off!

Just sorted DS's bag and found very atheist DMIL has bought him a nativity set Knowing DS, he'll make his own version of the Christmas story. Any guesses how long until a dinosaur tries to eat the baby or Mary starts to fly?

I agree with others who are jealous of (was it Fluffy?) having a day off to clean the house! I might take a day for myself next week...maybe...

Firefly good luck climbing that mountain - I've heard they get easier, unlike real mountains!! But you might deserve a mince pie or something once its' done (and hopefully before your peace is shattered by DS arriving back early!).

No, to those who hoped, I had no hope of a seat this morning as I thought I had to drop DD to school. DH told me, a good 20 minutes after I sat down to wait until it was time to go (I spent that time organizing), that he was able to do it - nope, too late, I had missed my chance to go early and as I was now definitely going to be stuck surrounded by teenage boys and all their wet gear bags, and standing, he could feel guilty about me dropping him off as well!! - not that I was cruel enough to say it that way ! I would have been a whole 8 minutes faster getting to the station going then rather than waiting for him and DD. He's too tired....

I hate the fact that I have to spend my day off doing housework and food shopping! All I want to do is see friends for coffee

It's the bonus of condensing my hours. When I'm in a new job I'll be back to 5 days and no days off to clean, unless they come out of my annual leave!

Is there nothing like our Equality Act in the States, Wheelie? If adjustments can be made for the disabled they need to be here. Obviously there's some historic buildings / shops with steps up to them that can't change, but every other place, trains included, need to. The disabled person gets a free ticket for their carer too here.

Biddy, aren't DHs annoying at times?!

Psb the imagination play centre we have here is a mini village. So each room would have something different like a shop, restaurant, hairdressers, drs or farm etc. They can dress up and play.

That sounds like KidZania. All the school with 100% attendance went there once. DS2 was a fireman, kept all his wages and wouldn't spend any! 😂

Ok! Hi guys! I'm back from the doctor. Things went well! We got some good pokestops and drove through a cemetery (that's a thing we do sorry we're weird) but I saw the coolest headstone ever. It had the wizard of oz characters and it was a pokestop lol.

I was looking for Lilah for an hour yesterday and crying. She was sitting in front of the turned off tv. I swear she totally was trolling me lol

fluffy We have the ADA Americans with Disabilities act. And all places are supposed to be accessible but we're in such a small town that most places are so old they get away with not being accessible :( I miss out on a lot of stuff with the kids because of it.

Mrs The fellow in the corner is our Mensch on the Bench lol we got him a few years go and my kids absolute adore him. His name is Moshe.

Firefly Our local Santa Train is just one day unfortunately. Looking at the photos and from others talking about it there's 0 way for them to help me on. :( It's sad and I think I'm going to email the railroad and ask how they can make it more inclusive!

I know I didn't catch up with everyone but today is finally painting day! I'll share before photos later on after we get some painted lol

Hi. I missed one whole day of the thread yesterday and now struggling to catch up. I've skimmed through.

I have a similar rant to you Acey I had today off work to see a consultant and it was cancelled last thing yesterday. I've been waiting months - it will apparently be rescheduled sometime between now and January 🙄

I realised today I'm not working a full week now until New year and I have something on every weekend until then too. Quite happy about that

I hope everyone is doing well with their prep? I noticed the Poncetastic thread mentioned earlier. I'm in awe of some posters on there. I've made a Christmas scarf and some presents and hoping to make my own candle too but that's as good as it gets here

PS is anyone watching True Christmas tonight? Some film about a women who's hired a zaney cab driver to get her to her wedding. Nonsense and yet, I can't turn it off!

Haha dd is the only one in her school with her name so she won't fall for that! I will get her to write a letter though and tell her I will post it...hate lying but I need to know!

I am also a fan of crappy Christmas films. I watched a terrible one on Netflix about Elves losing letters from a town. Truly terrible acting. Then I watched the one about the magic Advent calendar, which was actually pretty good.

Last night I watched Christmas Chronicles, and had Absolute Christmas on the radio today. It's getting closer!

Firefly I had to upload their Christmas wishes for our trip to Lapland. Presumably so FC already knows what they want. After sneaking a look at the letter though there's no need to panic. She just wants us all to be happy and anything Harry Potter which we all knew anyway!

Been really busy, packed a lot of pressies this afternoon, then took Mum to gossip club. Did their shopping and picked up the tablets 💊 😁
Gossip club was hilarious. After last week when there was a row about the music this week they were all friends when we got there , there had been a committee meeting before we got there and it seems that there were strong words said🤣🤣🤣 , the father of one of the DJs threatened to leave en masse over it all! Talk about childish and pathetic !! Anyway for the sake of the club the leader acquiesed and let his son DJ! Honestly it is just ridiculous! Anyway fight over now (until next time)!😝🤣🤣

I love all Christmas Films! But I admit my favorites are A Christmas Story and A Christmas Tree Miracle. The first is a cult classic in the USA (Not sure about there) But the 2nd is a really really sweet film you can find on youtube. I can link if anyone is interested?
