Morning! Brand new thread for the new week!

Crazy l would not dream of posting on the poncy thread but l am in awe of them there too,!! Glad you are having a good time and won't be working all the time before Christmas ...yay!!

DS wanted a birthday cake for Christmas last year, which was very cute.

This year, he got ahold of the Smyths catalogue so he wants a big fire engine and a small fire engine, ie the 2 foot long Paw Patrol piece of tat one. Santa and the elves are on with that.

Not heard of either of those, Wheelie. Link would be nice, give me something to watch next week I have two favourites - Muppet Christmas Carol, and Santa Claus the Movie (the one with John Lithgow as the villain). Can't watch that one with DS yet, though. He takes in everything when watching a movie, and gets upset if anything bad happens. We start about 10 minutes in on Finding Nemo, fast forward the stampede in Lion King, and Anna and Elsa's mum and dad have gone on a trip to see their cousin...

If they don't mention it, ask about a local 'meals on wheels' type service. We had one for my uncle (learning difficulties, lived alone after my Nana died). They brought a hot meal and a pudding at lunch, and left a sandwich for his tea, and it cost about £5 a day!

fluffy That's gorgeous! You are so much faster at stitching than I am. But it probably helps if you aren't making beaded angels, finishing a tree skirt, making Star Babies, and stitching at the same time hahaha.

I did get more trim and finish my skirt guys! It's back under the Aluminum tree

I've noticed more lights going up around the neighborhood too! I'll have to get some photos for you guys soon.

I have been up since 3 as it was DH's leaving do last night. He was planning to be home by 11 and I went to bed at 10. I woke at 3 and he wasn't home! So if course I started worrying especially when his phone went to answer phone. He did answer what's app and his colleague had had her bag stolen and they had to give statements to the police.

He has work today and then was supposed to be driving DS to his parents for the weekend and giving me the weekend off but he won't be able to drive tonight as he will only have had about 3 hours sleep. So I am cross as if he had been back by 11 as planned this wouldn't have happened as the bag was stolen at midnight when he should have been tucked up in bed and I wouldn't lose a night off. I get two weekends off a year, they are precious to me!

Morning! Awake a bit early but I needed a wee so had to get up, annoyingly! 😂

Busy, busy day ahead of me today. Trying to work out how best to do it quickly! I'd forgotten the car was in the garage today as that complicates shopping plans. Hopefully it's done early so we can get it before lunch.

Red, how bloody annoying that your DH did that. Silly man.

This is what the letter actually said:

‘Dear Father Christmas,

I wouldn’t like anything really big for Christmas just my stocking full of Harry Potter things. But if I can’t have that that’s ok, all I really want is for my family to be happy. My brother’s happy enough but my dad is working over time and not getting paid for it and my mum works really, really hard.

Right today is food shop, meet friend in John Lewis for [free!] coffee and cake, come home and sort shopping, tidy etc and hang up hooks ready for festive lights and bunting tomorrow

Early enough today to go backwards- I got a few rows done going out of town and changed directions at a station with a lovely coffee kiosk (I’ve changed here before!) - her kitchen aid was flying in the background while she served coffees. So latte in hand, I’m now gazing at the sea, sitting down!, on my way into town😀

My favourite is the Richard Attenborough Miracle on 34th Street, because he is Father Christmas! 🎅

DGM used to volunteer for meals on wheels, she used to crack me up talking about her "old ladies", she was older than some of them! 😂

Wreck that letter has had me in floods of tears. Absolutely heartwarming.

I love all the classic Christmas films with my two favourites being muppets Christmas Carol and it's a wonderful life. But if we are going for cheesy Christmas films it's has to 12 dates of Christmas. I haven't seen it this year yet. If anyone sees it on, can you let me know. Please and thank you.
