Morning! Brand new thread for the new week!

Woo hoo! My Friday today. Will be so happy when this week is over. Plus I know my colleague is bringing a pack of biscoff's

Eurgh I am having to cover my colleague who is is off sick and I hate her role. Want to get back to mine!!

Thanks woolly for the offer - they’re all already on needles though and just need to be finished. 1 is slightly intricate (needs couting each row but no slipping or psso or reducing/increasing involved TG - I did actually consider one like that at one stage!) and in black cotton (terrible to work with). Another is straightforward enough just late started. And the 3rd is using thick wool and only needs another 8” or so, so it should be finished in about an hour.

Just the darn trains are so busy these days, and dh is away so much I can’t get earlier ones (which would allow me time to go backwards 6 stations and then get a seat going into town).

Ah well, I can usually mN standing in the squish!

Thanks Mrs :) I have had a minor victory. When covering this role I am sat right next to automatic doors and was being rained on constantly so they have now locked the doors for me!

Red am really pleased for you m'dear , l hated being moved from my role and having no say in it thing is they don't worry about the stress it makes us feel , l feel your frustration, anger and stress really keenly. Looked at Christmassy things, just had a ham and cheese omelette, a banana and hot chocolate. I'm going to use £1 coins for the shopping in the self checkout today so that I have enough notes for Saturday. My CTC doesn't come through until Monday. I have 39 £1 coins!

We have a fabric advent calendar that I made before DS (11) was born. A couple of years later I made a tree skirt. The year after that I made bunting. Last year I did a wreath making course. This year I have some MDF letters that I'm going to paint and decorate for the kitchen and I have plans for festive hanging baskets outside the front door.

Food poncing I can be a bit more blatant about. I made a flavoured gin this year and I'll make mince pies - I usually only make half a dozen or so for DH but I'll make some for DM's wake. I will also be making a chocolate log, sausage rolls and some cranberry and Brie puffs for DD1. One of these days I'm going to try my hand at lebkuchen - I should have had a look for the ready made spice mix when I was in Belgium but I forgot.

Lebkuchen are addictive! I don't have any in the house at the moment, I have Gruyere and poppy seed twists, mini gingerbread men and shortbread stars. Those are just mine! 😂 The DC like the chocolate shortbreads.

I have a collection of £1 coins for Adventure Mrs, but DS2 only needs one a week, and then I forget to take them when I go shopping!

Morning all! Been up all night with really bad nausea and was really out of it.

Red I hope your day goes quick! It’s horirble doing a job that isn’t yours, especially when it’s rubbish! They tried to make me do personal care at my care home with a really aggressive resident, I’m 8 months pregnant so that definitely isn’t going to happen.

Mrs I hope you can get some wrapping done, I haven’t even started and still need to order most of DH’s presents!.

Acey that’s not good! My doctors can be useless sometimes.

Right, I’m off to clean the house and look for a new house too, wish me luck!

I’m back at home now. No one could work out what’s happened, so she’s going to call me this afternoon. Not a completely wasted trip as I hopped in the pharmacy, they said the only thing safe to take is glycerin so I’ve got some of that. Praying it works

DD's only "symptom" is feeling restless all the time, so I think she'll be back at school tomorrow! 😊

Apparently I now have a midwife appointment next Thursday at 12.45 😂 she did say I could pop back in today, but it really don’t feel up to it!

Mrs - I think I am addicted to Addie, I just love her so much and can’t wait to meet her thank you my lovely, couldn’t leave Addie out just because she’s not here yet yep my family can go to hell for sure, no idea why they are acting like they are, nor do I care the mince pie cookies and brownies are indeed yummy

Wheelie- A lot of my furniture is black so I completely get where you’re coming from! The worst is the tv stand as Maverick completely blends in 😂 yay, I’m so happy for you that you’ll be getting some help at home! I think you have another appointment today, if you do then I hope it all goes well once again

Nero’s - Jesus wept €180 that’s ridiculous! A lot of them I saw seemed to be around €90-150 so I’m very happy with my bargain 😁

The house opposite me has their fairy lights up, the only problem is at night time, because they are all blue it looks like the lights off of an emergency services vehicle 😂
