Morning! Brand new thread for the new week!

Hello all!! We got a large chunk of money today so it's time to buy pressies!! I think I'll be able to knock out all the chanukah and Christmas shopping via amazon. I need to buy some chanukah paper and candles and gelt today too.

Mrs Thank you so much. Would you all like to see a photo of her? She's alive in the photo but was a preemie so I don't want to trigger anyone since we have some preggo women here.

I've considered seresto collars but my kitties are kind of jerks and they are magic at getting collars off each other haha

biddy I am usually very let down by toy superstores! IT's so strange. I go there with a lot of expectations and I'm like 'eww what is this crap' haha

acey yay for bedding!! I have no idea where I'm going to store our gifts! Thankfully the chanukah presents can be wrapped and put immediately under the tree.

OH! We did have a tree fall over today. BUT it wasn't how you would picture trees coming down because of cats. My scaredy cat was under the tree and a plow went by to plow the snow and scared the stuffing out of her. She panicked and ran and down came the tree. Good news is nothing broke because we put up all plastic) and now everyone is scared of the tree so no one will go near it again haha

Hi all just got home!. Unfortunately we’ve decided that Devon won’t be the best place for job and to raise D.C. So we’re going to sell the cottage and try and use that money to buy a new house further up north.

Wheelie - That’s fantastic news about being able to buy presents - exciting times for you! Yay for amazon, it’s a life saver at times isn’t it. I love the kimono and you look beautiful I would love to see a picture of your precious daughter, as long as everyone else is okay with it too.
Lilah is looking wonderful as always and your other kitty too! Oh bless her pulling the tree down but not intentionally.

Crazy - honestly it makes my blood boil the way they’ve acted, it’s nice to have someone else angry on my behalf too 😂 your nephews tree sounds absolutely fantastic, what a grand idea

Maverick isn’t really bothered by the tree, he takes a couple swipes at the bottom baubles occasionally but that’s it. He does however, love rolling around in wrapping paper which is the cutest thing ever

I’m not really wheezing at all now, but I have the most horrendous constant cough I’m actually looking forward to seeing the dr on Thursday as I don’t think it is my asthma, though what do I know, I’m not a dr

I’m just sitting with my feet up, finishing the grocery order for tomorrow, then I need to make lists of what’s left to buy for Christmas.

Crazy , l love Ponty , I may have already told you several times l feel sorry for the shopkeepers because they must find it hard to manage and keep going. The watchman in the market is wonderful he has rescued many a watch and clock for me !

My mum had Christmas dinner, I had Christmas nut roast as promised, she came back to ours, picked up DS2 from basketball club at 4, had macaroni cheese and garlic bread for supper, DS2 fell asleep in our bed, DD will go at 7.15. 😋🎅🎄🍗🎅🎄😋😴

PSB what was the Christmas nut roast like m;dear ? The macaroni cheese and garlic bread sounds lovely too lol you can tell l am hungry lol , glad you had a nice day with your DM , l better go do tea!

The Christmas nut roast was very nice, lots of whole nuts in it. All the usual trimmings, apart from cranberry sauce. Macaroni cheese is nice and simple, and DC love it! 😂

Frange I'm sorry about the cottage but it is better to know this all before you move there! So I'm sending you good thoughts on finding a new home!

Acey I love your Maverick so much! I keep showing photos of him to Lilah and she looks at my like I'm crazy. I'm glad you aren't wheezing anymore! Hopefully the coughing will let up soon. Makes sure the doctors listens close to your lungs and makes sure it isn't an infection in there

Mrs I love seeing the such different but still so kind people we have here! It makes me happy and I love all the photos haha

PSB What is a Christmas Nut Roast? I must know! lol

Fluffy I missed the part about surgery earlier!! That sucks but I know my dad had a tear in his knee and when he got it fixed it was almost an instant fix and he was walking on it without issue in a day. So while surgery is definitely scary sometimes it's super helpful.

I've been freezing all day! My house says it's 70 F (21 C) but I'm so frigging cold. I've got my fuzzy robe on and am cross stitching to finish this towel lol

MrsMad I rate the watch man in the market too. He's re-attached a lot of watch straps and replaced batteries for me!

I have to agree about this thread. I think if we all randomly met in RL we'd probably struggle to find something in common but it's so nice to have a little chat etc with a bunch of Christmas loving nice people.

I'm having a relaxed evening doing a final present audit so I can buy the last 2 or 3 presents and be done 💪🎄

Hello everyone sorry I've been too busy to read through.

Left for work at 7:30, home at 3 left with dc for swimming at 3:30 home at 5 did dinner then caught up on admin for work from 6 to 7:30 😭😭 I've just wound down by building some of ds' Lego that he got for his birthday yesterday. It's very therapeutic!

Wreck your day sounds exhausting. Glad you have Lego to wind down with though - I'm considering buying some but not sure if that's add as there are no dc in the house? 🤔

I've completed my audit. I have 5 things to buy but they're all small - socks / slippers / bottle of port that kind of thing. Will pick them up either tomorrow or Thursday then I'll be done

While doing my audit I found the decs dm bought while we were at the Christmas factory outlet. What do you think?

Crazy DS1 is 28 and spends most of his PIP on Lego! 😂

4 weeks today! We're becoming socially acceptable on the rest of MN now - not sure if I'm brave enough to venture out, though.

I had a panic about my car driving home tonight. It was making some terrible grumbling noises, like a motorbike revving. I was so worried it was going to break down I even called the garage. After 45 minutes, I realised the noise was my windscreen wipers In fairness, it's a very weird noise!

It is a shame but like Wheely said it’s better to know before we get there. Hoping it does sell easily.
