That bath was so relaxing!
I’m going to attempt sleeping in my bed tonight, but the moment the coughing and asthma starts I’m going straight downstairs to the armchair :)

Mavericks playing with one of those craft pipe cleaner things, not the ones with metal in the middle. He’s carrying it around in his mouth like a dog Grin

I need to really crack on with my Christmas shopping now, and also somehow wrap them all too! Spoilt my grandad, brother and paddy rotten, but lord knows they deserve it!

I need to ring my midwife tomorrow because she’s given me an appointment for this Thursday, but she’s put 25 week appointment and I’m only 23 weeks. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Scattering my dads ashes on Sunday, where my mums ashes were scattered. I’m looking forward to it in a weird way, it’s like his final destination and he’s free Smile

WheelchairWoes · 26/11/2018 21:56

acey that's crazy! Especially for old people studies show they get more meds into them with nebulizers vs inhalers. I only ever use a neb. Scattering ashes is very cathartic imo. I cried but I felt a lot better when my daughter was scattered at sea.

Seafood not really too complicated just a big obnoxious lol I watched Home Alone, The Snowman, and assorted Christmas cooking shows today!

cooking studies show that decorating for Christmas makes people happy in general. Folks who decorate and start getting ready for Christmas earlier? Are happier in general because it stirs up warm happy comfortable memories and feelings. :) So I think Christmas Prep is 100% needed for folks :)

firefly I'm sorry to hear you lost against the nursery gate. I hope your care can be fixed easy and fast!

A fellow has just been here and fixed my wheelchair also it did snow! Just a dusting but I'm pleasantly pleased with it.

philomena those sound like good snacks to me!

AceyMac13 · 26/11/2018 22:37

Wheelie - it’s madness isn’t it! My mum was 27 when she died, and she was on a nebuliser for most of her life as she had brittle asthma. Hopefully I won’t need one, and it’s something a medicine adjustment can ease a little. I’ve actually been much better after I slept for 4 hours last night in the armchair. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain of losing your daughter, I’m in awe of anyone who can come out of the other side of that. Addie is the only thing that got me through the past horrendous few weeks. She gives me indescribable strength and courage :)

Maverick is snuggled up under the covers, domino is sleeping behind the ironing board in the wash basket.

Mrsmadevans · 26/11/2018 23:16

Up and ready for work, though I could quite happily go back to sleep for the rest of the day. 😂

Going to try out my new winter coat soon Grin

4 weeks today, eeeee so exciting! 🎁⛄️🎅🏼
I really need to stop slacking, and do one final push for presents etc! Food slots are booked so that’s all sorted, just need to remember to amend them!

ConstantlyCooking · 27/11/2018 07:00

Good morning all.
Wishing you all good days.
I need to finish my present hunt and audit tonight.
(The hunt is for everything I have been collecting during the year).
Strange how despite dropping in and out of this thread, I always have a long to-do list at the end of November!

Mrsmadevans · 27/11/2018 07:32

BiddyPop · 27/11/2018 08:37

I had a spare 40 minutes between collecting the car and collecting dd from school so ran to halfords for wiper blades (half the cost of the garage doing them) and a toy superstore- where I thought I’d buy for up to 8 children and didn’t see anything suitable! I even got a trolley in expectation!

Back to the drawing board!

BiddyPop · 27/11/2018 08:42

I’m so sorry to hear about your DM Wolly, 💐

And Seafood I hope your DM’s treatment works 💐

Glad to see your chair got repaired Wheelchair - you’ll be flying around now!

Mind yourselves all as I know I’ve missed loads of news

NerosFiddle · 27/11/2018 09:36

Morning all. I'll try and get caught up in a bit. Yesterday was a busy day but I got a few presents bought, wrapping paper and Christmas cards bought. Paper and cards are from our local hospice. So all good.
The weather is awful here today, but I need to go out soon, so I'll be wrestling the elements today.

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/11/2018 11:38

Oh, it's not for her birthday Mrs, we're going to Winter Wonderland mostly to see Father Christmas for DS2, he wants to go on a couple of rides, so I've booked the ice rink for DD as she'd rather do that. It's a lovely open air one. 😆

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/11/2018 11:41

AceyMac13 · 27/11/2018 12:30

Afternoon!
Just got home from work, been non stop so far! The tv and Internet people are apparently coming between 2-4 today. Aye they said that last time and never showed up 😂.

My under bed storage is full to the brim with presents! I think we will he spending most of Xmas day opening them all and not doing much else 😂 ah well, it’s been a tough year and they deserve spoiling, plus I work hard to earn the money to spoil them :)

Nearly finished blitzing the kitchen, and need to work out what’s for dinner later as well as finishing my online grocery order for tomorrow.

Coffee time in half hour, but better crack on for now. I’ll be back on later to catch up. Have a grand day everyone.

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/11/2018 12:42

Waiting for my mum in the Sainsbury's café, I'm going to have the nut roast Christmas dinner! With my sparkly bow in my hair! Xmas Grin

I got today off so had a lie in, a leisurely morning and am now catching up. I think this post may be huge sorry!

Biddy How did your exam go?
Sorry to hear about your wasted shopping trip. Have you checked Argos online (not sure if you have that where you are)? I hate buying toys as I find it so stressful!

Sorry to hear about your mum Seafood Sending her lots of Get well wishes 💐

Another one here with a car going to the garage this week Fluffy & Firefly My poor car is making a random noises so is in for some investigation / repairs on Friday.

PSB your DD is so brave. I'm terrified of ice skating after falling over and having someone skate over my hand the one and only time I tried it 🙄

Fluffy I hope your head feels better now.

Wheels So glad your wheelchair has been fixed.

Acey have you bought for all your family? Have you spoken about them buggering off on holiday?
Love your bedding!

I'm back in from a very relaxed wander around the shops. The town nearest me is tiny but I had a few errands to do so did it very slowly with lots of mooching.
I've posted a pic of the wrapping paper and candle holder I bought. I luffs them both Xmas Grin

I've had a little break and eaten a toastie. Time to finish this episode of Kirsties Handmade Christmas and stick the hoover around.

Afternoon all Xmas Grin
Come back from the parents early as my SIL is taking Mum to a carol concert/lunch out, so home in time to give the front room the annual massive clean before the tree goes up tomorrow Hmm, have rearranged the room and washed the sofa covers Shock and had to put them back on damp because l can't get them on otherwise ! So DH will have to sit on damp cushions for the rest of the day Xmas Grin that will teach him for hovering over me last night and not letting me finish my post Xmas Grin!
Crazy, lovely wrapping paper m'dear and very jovial Father Christmas candle holder, Did you get it from Ponty ? l really loved shopping in Ponty when l used to do the shopping in Tesco there.
l think you needed today off to recharge your batteries m'dear Flowers

Right l better get back to the grindstone , might start packing some pressies in a while but might not lol , can't believe it is a month today Christmas day ! Have a good afternoon everyone !Take care Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 27/11/2018 14:17

I've had my work occupational health assessment and am just waiting for the train back to work. I walked there but the weather is shocking now!

The GP I saw thinks I have a full tear and will need surgery. Argghhh!

I have soggy feet now and this train is freezing. Thank god it's only 1 stop!

I'm envious of your relaxing day off, Crazy. I never get those as I always have too much to do!

Acey, at least your present buying list has decreased thanks to your idiot family!

AceyMac13 · 27/11/2018 14:30

We are assembling / maverick trialing the tacky hallway tree that my 3 year old nephew decorated Grin it looks horrendous and I absolutely love it Grin so far maverick hasn’t pulled it down, but he’s sure as hell trying to Grin

I wouldn’t recommend looking at the picture if you have Christmas tree OCD 😂

The living room tree will be a lot better and going up on Saturday!

Nope crazy I’m only buying for my grandad, one brother and my friend paddy. The rest of my family can go to hell, they make me so angry and I can’t even be around them

Mrs - we shall see if they turn up 😂

Fluffy - that’s very true 😂

AceyMac13 · 27/11/2018 14:51

CrazyBaubles · 27/11/2018 15:18

MrsMad yes it was in Ponty. It was so quiet there today, I'm amazed any of shops make enough money to stay open. The candle holder is from a little independent shop I've been going to for years - supporting local traders and all that 👍🏻
You have made me giggle imagining your DH sitting on the sofa and looking all confused because his trousers are damp Xmas Grin

Fluffy I never used to take days off either but a few years ago I got signed off with anxiety and it scared me so much I make a point of taking a day just for me every so often.
I must say tomorrow will be rubbish because work will be manic but I'm deliberately not thinking about that right now!

How long are you likely to be waiting for your op?

Acey I don't blame you being so angry. I'm still angry on your behalf and I don't even know you! Xmas Grin

I love your hallway tree.
My favourite tree in the word is dnephews. He's had his own in his room since he was about 4. He's allowed to pick a decoration each year off dsis, dm and me and can decorate the tree however he likes. Last year (at age 7) he 'borrowed' baubles from all over the place and made some decs of his own. His tree was bonkers - he put his action figures, his friends barbie, his cars, baubles and his own drawings all over it Xmas Grin He also used his pocket money to buy several random sets of battery powered lights so he could have as many colours as possible. Dm said it made her feel 'on edge' (hers is perfectly colour co-ordinated and decs are evenly spread out). DSis just rolled her eyes at it but me and DNephew spent quite a lot of time watching the lights / dancing around the tree / sitting looking at it Xmas Grin
