Crazy the things you make a beautiful and very well done you are really good! No wonder the family want everything lol , l know the Gossip club is hilarious , they are all talking about one another behind each others backs and then being as false as to their faces lol have a good relax this weekend m'dear

Biddy - thanks so much for all your help. I’ve lived here all my life and usually just go real life shopping, but I’m getting bigger and more uncomfortable by the day so having to rely on online shopping. My grandad’s been my absolute rock through this all. Thank you for all your advice on my dads estate too :) I love the green Santa in Mullingar I’m glad your thanksgiving dinner went well.

Wheelie - love the lights, it’s looking very festive Maverick wasn’t too happy earlier when Addie kicked him in the head 😂

Mrs - blimey just reading about your day is exhausting my dear 😂 I was playing the new tomb raider with paddy last night at his house, I wasn’t very good 😂 I think my body is trying to recover now, but I’m coming down with a cold booooo :( Addie won’t listen, she’s having too much fun beating me up

We are pulling out no stops on the decorating today!! I'll share photos when there's less boxes and more ornaments. Our big big tree is up and now it needs decorated. Stringing lights up too! SO MANY DECORATIONS! Christmas and Chanukah have PUKED in my house

Wheelie - I think it’s so important for people to have somewhere to go, Christmas is a tough time for many and I just want to make things easier for the people I care about

Acey I love the way you're house is so open. My parents are the same. Her Sunday dinners are legendary here (as were my Nana's when she was here). They start out as 6 people, then anyone who's struggling / needs a boost / has nowhere to go etc gets invited and the next thing you know, it's a roast for 12 and we have to do it in 3 sittings because the table isn't very big 😂
People think they're nuts but I have a lot of friends who they helped when I was a teen who still pop in to visit them. Sounds as though you are similar.

Bedtime now, after the countdown! I wanted to finish the hare on the cross stitch before bed (and went wrong, requiring unpicking, twice!).

Best go to sleep now as the kids will be up at 7!

Dh woke me up coming to bed at about 12;30 and I can't get back to sleep 😡

Acey that's the truth. Despite all my decorations it is a hard time of year for me because of my daughter who passed. I think that's one reason I go out of my way with decorations!

Today is afternoon tea and Christmas lights switch on. So excited!

Just having a peppermint mocha to start my day. Didn’t sleep very much as my asthma won’t let up at the moment, gah!

I’m full of a cold so not going to do much today. Will make baked potato soup for lunch as it’s comforting and warm when you feel under the weather :)

Need to get all the tree decorations etc after work next week as all my trees are going up on the 1st!

I’ve ordered my Christmas bedding; I love it

Mrs - your sayings do make me laugh and put a smile on my face I hope she does enjoy it my lovely ‘I am a gamer girl mother’ haha, that’s brilliant Addie will be saying things like that to me in a few years I’m glad my grandad is here too, especially because I’m currently not talking to any of the others who decided to just up and leave! Can’t bare to look at them, let alone be around them after how they behaved. Hopefully social services do their thing and you can get some more help for you parents :)

Crazy - the blankets look fabulous; you should be very proud! Your parents house sounds exactly like my grandads house growing up, and now I do the same which is a loveky tradition! I just hate the thought of someone feeling down or lonely all on their own, especially when I have lots of space and food to go round aye, some people can’t seem to comprehend it because they just see it as strangers, but there’s people who came for dinner at my grandads who still pop in and visit him now, even now when things are better for them they never forget

Hello Countdowners

I'll have a read through once my coffee kicks in.

I did some shopping last Friday (Bluewater) then took DD To Lakeside on Sunday.
Managed to get a bathrobe for my DS yesterday and convince my DD to do her Black Friday shopping online rather than drag her poor elderly mother to Bluewater again.

I'm whittling through my To-Do list .
Bought my Christmas Present to me (much easier to do that )

DBro is visiting today so we'll eat loads and stay up till the small hours chattering.

And today is the Anniversary of the passing of Freddie Mercury in 1991

Blueberry & chia muffins have just gone in the oven, ooo I can’t wait to have one

I've so far made Nigella's Christmas morning muffins, banana choc chip muffins and Yorkshire puddings today. My onion soup is on the go and I'll do my chicken and chorizo parcels later on.

We've also all had hair cuts. Busy, busy!
