AceyMac13 · 24/11/2018 12:17

Oh yes Mrs blueberry and chia 😁😍🎉❤️

Addie is once again playing beat mummy up 😁

Just about to go and make my baked potato soup 😁

I’ve not really been paying much attention to Black Friday, however, I am now a fan. I just ordered my maternity winter coat and got 40% off because of a Black Friday deal! It’s smart enough to wear at work too so I am happy Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/11/2018 12:25

Acey my DD used to put her foot under my ribs and s-l-i-d-e it downwards , I could see the shape of her foot under my skin. > like "Alien"

PhilomenaButterfly · 24/11/2018 14:16

Had breakfast in the Sainsbury's café, DS2 had a bitesize breakfast, I had a bigger breakfast, DS2 had sausage pasta bake for lunch. 😋🍳🍳😋

WheelchairWoes · 24/11/2018 14:17

Oh wreck sweetie I totally understand. You need a holiday asap

red YAY For lights!

acey that bedding is amazing! WOW. If you need to chat with the holidays and being newly bereaved just shoot me a message.

fluffy I wish it was dry here. It's cold and wet which always feels worse to me than just cold. It makes my bones ache because I sound like an old lady haha

I always see recipes for yorshire puddings but I've never had a proper one so I have no idea if my end product would be official so I've never given it a go

70 good job on getting your list taken down slowly!

So today is the Winter Market here in town. I'm going to check it out with husband late and see if there's anything good to be bought. Maybe some breads or jams made locally. Hoping for some kind of soaps too.

We'll get the rest of our Christmas things up and going today too. My kids will go visit my dad for the day so it will be me and the kitties alone lol

WreckTangled · 24/11/2018 14:24

Wheely maybe try a toad in the hole first as the Yorkshire doesn't need to be quite so perfect.

I might make a cottage pie for dinner. Really can't be bothered but I know I will have even less energy to do it after work one day next week so tonight seems like a better idea!

CrazyBaubles · 24/11/2018 14:35

I haven't achieved very much today! I was supposed to pop to town to get the last few odds and sods for Christmas (which would leave me with just 2 presents to buy) but it's so cold outside I decided to skip it. Instead I have put what will hopefully become red pepper soup in the slow cooker, had a bath and watched some reruns of Kirsties Handmade Christmas.
I must sound so lazy to you all as you're always so busy. I can't explain, I've been so run down for weeks, I'm drained after a week in work.

Wheels your decs are beautiful. I'm so jealous of your ceramic light up trees. My mum has one too - I want one but they're quite hard to find and expensive!

You should definitely try a Yorkshire pudding. I love them. Trick is to make sure your oil is so hot it sizzles when you put the batter in.

Hope everyone is having a good / better day Xmas Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 24/11/2018 14:39

Annnnd...completed onion soup and chicken and chorizo parcels!

Try this Yorkshire pudding recipe, Wheels (plain being all purpose).

Wheelie if you're doing toad in the hole, brown onions with the sausages, then you get them all through the batter. 😋

AceyMac13 · 24/11/2018 16:35

Howdy!

Busy, busy, busy today. Currently cleaning out the kitchen cupboards so that I can unpack the kitchen as it’s driving me insane!

About out of bin bags so will Nip out tomorrow and get some, as well as hopefully some Xmas decorations too!

Going to put dinner on soon; maple pork, mash and carrots.

70 - argh that made me squirm just thinking about it! I’m praying Addie doesn’t do that 😂

Wheelie - thank you treacle, the same goes to you as well if you ever want to chat! I’m looking forward to the Christmas bedding arriving Grin

Crazy - red pepper soup sounds delicious! I hope you enjoy it :)

Fluffy - they look grand :)

AceyMac13 · 24/11/2018 18:30

Maverick has decided that the swaddle blanket I got for Addie would suit him much better Grin

Had butternut squash and sweet potato enchiladas for supper, DS2 was in bed by 8.15, as he managed not to wake up until 6.30 this morning! 😆 I think DH getting up and turning the light on must wake him up. The TV room window and the DC's bedroom window both look on to the garden.

Mrsmadevans · 24/11/2018 22:03

Evening all Xmas Grin
Been busy this afternoon , Dsis & her DH came to watch the rugger at 4, it is her 66th birthday on Monday (she is 9 yrs older than me) but we had her cake and pressies off us today because they are going out in the morning for the day and out on Monday after they have been to the parents . I did say we would do the parents on Monday being as it was her birthday and we do them the vast majority of the time but she insisted Hmm. She seemed in a good mood today , her one redeeming quality is that she loves my DDS as if they were her own and l am very glad too. While they were here l sorted out loads of paperwork in between making them tea and cake and bisks. It took my mind off her biting bitter evil quips Hmm. She told me that my parents missed their cabbage from us doing their cooking , we give them greens but not cabbage Hmm. So l said 'when are you going to give them cabbage then ?' lol, she said 'l am never going to cook for them l buy their meals from the cookhouse (a local restaurant} when l look after them ! The cheek of it !! Grin
PSB the enchiladas sound gorgeous Smile and thank you for the batter tip l can imagine how lovely they will taste yummy!

Hope everyone is feeling better and have a great nights sleep Xmas Smile

WheelchairWoes · 24/11/2018 22:13

wreck or anyone else can you find me a good recipe for Toad in the hole that would be good for a beginner? I'd love to give it a go!

crazy believe it or not all my ceramic trees save for two? Can from thrift shops for under $10!! You should keep an eye out at some shops and you might be surprised what turns up!

fluffy Thank you for that recipe! That will be helpful. I'm definitely going to give them a try I think! my kids would love them a lot

acey Maverick is such a sweet kitty. I love him so. That bomb looks so lovely too

red Those look yummy. Can I ask you all.....what exactly is Tea in your neck of the woods. Like besides the drink. Is it like an afternoon light snack type thing?

Mrs I admit I laughed at 'I'm never going to cook for them!' hahaha someone after my own heart!

The Winter Market was ok. There weren't many booths today because it's the one before the big big Holiday Market on December 8. I did find a gift I'm going to get for dd2 though. Husband and I have decided we might try our hand at selling at the Winter Market. I do a lot of crafty things and I think it would be a lot of fun and good for me to get out of the house every other week. I've had my flu shot so I'm not as paranoid about germs as I sometimes am.

My kitty loves are enjoying the trees. This year because we have two kittens aged 4 and 8 months we put no breakables on the tree but so far they seem content with only hitting on the stuffed ornaments which is why we hung those at the bottom. The big kitties love sleeping neath the tree.

I'm home alone and it's 5:13 PM and I'm watching Live PD and pondering Ice Lantern Molds for this winter as well as a new faucet for the kitchen. The one we have hangs down so low that doing dishes is a big pain in the butt. lol

Mrs, you're always so busy. You need to make sure you have down time too!

Wheelie, just use my recipe above, but cook your sausages in a little oil in the oven first, for about 15 mins, then pour the batter on. Cook for about another 25-30 mins.

Wheelie you have such a full lovely life m;dear with a lot of cats l love animals , What is live PD too please ? Xmas Grin we had our flu shots end of Sept l was determined my parents were getting it asap Xmas Grin , it was like a free for all at the surgery when l was booking them in for it Xmas Grin

WheelchairWoes · 24/11/2018 23:55

Thanks fluffy I'll do that! I might try to make them tomorrow!

Mrs I love my kitties! They really are like my kids. LOL

Live PD is a show that spans about 9 states in the USA and police are wearing cameras and we get to see live cases they are working as it happens. It's really interesting to me to watch all these crimes and weirdness as it unfolds

More cross stitch (and bloody unpicking!) tonight! Getting there slowly. I think I've 1.5 weeks til the main stitching is done. Then it's onto the fiddly bits for both cross stitch!
