Acey if you can't get delivery to RoI, set up a parcel motel account and it can be delivered to Armagh, they will bring it over the border and drop it in a parcel motel near you, I think it's about €3.95 per parcel. (Lots of electrics, electronics, haberdashery (strangely!), (all those from any sites) and things coming from China on Amazon/UK won't deliver here so I often have things going through parcel motel. If the company WILL deliver to ROI, there's a Dublin address as well, but they will still then drop to a motel near you to collect at your convenience). Sorry to hear your family weren't great, hope your Grandad is making up for it.
Fluffy sorry to hear your train was delayed. Your XStitch is looking great!! I'm loving seeing the picture emerging, and I wasn't expecting a second reindeer to appear!
MrsMad, I can see you, pulling and hauling on DM's tights, the way you write so vividly! I'm glad you got there in the end to hear all that gossip and drama!
Wheelchair I hope you had a good thanksgiving day yesterday.
Wreck there are plenty of reasons why there shouldn't be pets in houses with DCs and that is just one of them (ok maybe I just don't want the extra work of a pet - ask me again tomorrow after Cubs pet day...)
Firefly its a great idea to run down the freezers - and doing it for lunches is probably wise in case you get 1 portion of spag bol and 1 of chilli out the same day, which could be a bit strange mixed together!
Our Thanksgiving Dinner went well last night. All 5 guests had their first ever TG, which was nice. DD went to Scouts in the middle (first session of new season, so mandatory attendance, and assignment of new patrols - but she did arrange a lift home in fairness so I got to have a glass of wine for cheese and dessert courses). They left just after midnight, and I got the dishwasher going and abandoned the kitchen. I managed to get it emptied and going again this morning before I left, so there is only 1 (ordinary dinner amount) set of washing up to do, and putting away the good plates. It should all be done before DH gets home - although he will see evidence of enough turkey for 1 sandwich in the fridge
. I did tell him he was going to miss TG though weeks ago when he booked this trip.
I need sleep though, which I think will be Sunday night. After this full on weekend, it starts to slow down, slightly at least - just as well as I have Christmas prep to get on with!!
