Thread 8 already; wonder how many we will get to before Christmas?!

Oh yeah, I'm a crier anyway. But WAY worse when pregnant! 😂

I thought I might cry at Auschwitz, Woolly, but didn't in the gas chambers. I did at the display of a load of children's shoes though. Harrowing.

I'm an absolute wreck when pregnant. I had to switch off Finding Dory after about 10 minutes I was crying so hard.

I watched the time travellers wife when pregnant with dd 😭😭 and I cried when everyone pulled over to let an ambulance pass 🤣 When not pregnant I am definitely not a crier.

We’re only a few minutes into it and I’m already crying at Pooh!. Not sure if I’ll make it through this film. DS1 seems quite into it but the twins don’t seem bothered at all, so I might take them into the play room so I don’t have to watch it

I used to cry at a Nikon camera ad when in the early days of pregnancy with DD. And a particular RSPCA ad as well. DH thought it was utterly hilarious!

Hi all. Hope everyone is okay.
Not good news here I’m afraid; my dad is completely unresponsive and it’s the oxygen that’s currently keeping him alive. They won’t tell me anything until they’ve done more tests, and they keep pussyfooting around me because I’m pregnant. I’ve gone home now as I’m exhausted but they aren’t even sure he will make it through the night. I’m trying to stay calm as I don’t want to do anything to hurt the baby, I am of course upset and in shock. They said they will ring me if anything bad happens in the night and I will go straight to him after my midwife appointment tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a lovely evening.

Thank you so much Mrs - it really does mean more than you could ever know! Had a little cry then pulled myself together, this wee princess gives me more strength than I ever knew possible :)

Acey I'm so sorry. I know it if no comfort but my cousin is a nurse on the intensive care ward at our local hospital and he is the most calm, compassionate, patient person. The people who work those wards are generally some of the best so he couldn't be in better hands.
You're doing so well, please try and remember to eat and drink - easily forgotten in the worry but very important for both you and bump

Crazy - thank you so much. That brings me comfort more than you could know. He’s in the best possible place and there is literally nothing I can do for him other than be there when it’s visiting hours. I am drinking lots, but haven’t eaten since lunch time so I will make sure to eat something soon. I wouldn’t be coping half as well if I didn’t have this wee angel inside of me, she gives me indescribable strength and courage, I’m so very lucky to be growing her.

Me and DH are trying to sort out our Christmas Eve plans this year. It’s going to be a lot different with a newborn!. DC have gone to bed but Ike is up and down and won’t get to sleep.

The hospital have just rang me. He’s not progressing so all they can do now is make him comfortable until he inevitably passes away. I’m on my way to the hospital now

At the hospital now. We are waiting for all the family to arrive and then they will take the mask off and he will slip away peacefully. Feels like my life is falling apart yet this wee miracle inside of me keeps me going.

Acey I'm so sorry, that is one of the hardest things to go through. I hope it brings you some peace to know that he will pass peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.

Thinking of you Acey. It is hard now but being there will bring him comfort now and you comfort later because you'll know you couldn't do anymore than you're doing now.
I know it's not generally accepted on MN but I'm sending you a which is welsh for hug / cuddle because it's the least I can do.
