Thread 8 already; wonder how many we will get to before Christmas?!

I got a lie on until 8am this morning. That's the longest I've slept until since DS was born 2 years ago. And I only got that because we are having a break away. I loved being able to lie in bed watching breakfast.

Jesus wept I can’t stop laughing, trying to contact my dads car insurance and this man says ‘well I’ll need to speak to him to confirm you can talk for him’ without thinking I came out with ‘Aye well he’s dead so that may be a problem unless you’re experienced in that kind of thing’ 😂😂
We are both struggling to understand each other’s accents, he’s full on Scottish and I’m full on Irish 😂

Oh I’ve not laughed like this for a while!

Wheelchair you sound like my uncle, Jewish by birth but not brought up with the religion at all. He was happily adding prawns to a shop bought pizza, I said "You're not supposed to eat those!" He said "Aren't I?" He also makes a fabulous cooked breakfast with bacon and pork sausages! 😂

Oh, and I obviously looked at Christmassy things. I've ordered DD's joggers, next week will be DS2's Batman costume.

I noticed this morning that they've got the Christmas decorations up in Sainsbury's. 🎄🎅

Wreck My daughter has done the 5 things too but sometimes if it's got her breathing hard the square breathing works pretty well. They have gifs you can find online that help too.

Philomena lol I'm very religiously Jewish but being in the USA? Christmas is definitely more a cultural things at this point. And I collect and display vintage stuff. So the Kitschy Christmas stuff just makes me so happy. I'm so ready to decorate! This Thursday. I figure with all my depression and anxiety and being pretty well homebound half the time that Gd won't mind me making myself happy with silly little lights and trees lol.

We are 5 hours behind you guys so while you all are fully about in your days now we've just gotten up. My little son cat, who's just now 8 months old? Keep jumping on the kennel trying to play with Lilah the new baby cat.

Today I was supposed to go to the gynecologist for my yearly but as I am on the rag that is not going to happen. LOL But we are getting our new recliner delivered today. Which will be fantastic but I've had to totally rearrange my living room for the recliner and in prep for our Christmas trees going up.

Philomena we noticed a few nights ago while driving around there are two houses in town with Christmas trees in their windows. It made my kid so happy lol The shops are slowly getting theirs up too

I ordered some things from ikea online today and couldn't resist adding wrapping paper and labels too! I hope everyone is having a good afternoon/evening. We got drenched and covered in hailstones on the walk home today even my knickers needed changing when we got home!

I have been offline for ages my puter has played me up something rotten and l had to have a good go at it trying to get it to reset to factory settings , safe mode..... whatever that means it's a nightmare!
Anyway l am back to normal now but honestly !
I have got the app but it won't let me post a reply , it keeps telling me that talk has timed out!

Just use the mobile site on your phone's browser, Mrs. That's what I'm normally on! I don't go near the app.

I thankfully took my brolly at lunch time as it rained for most of my walk. I've been caught out before, so have learned my lesson!

It's rather dark now and I'm on an increasingly-late running train. Need to pop to the new Aldi for fruit and veg on my way home, but nobody is there as it's DS' swimming night and DD is with DH's parents. So, no hurry!

Biddy, that's not a huge amount of sleep. Does sound like fun though! I came across an old thread about Rug Doctor on here yesterday while searching Google for a voucher code (didn't find one!) and you were talking about having a 6 year old in the house. Bet that feels like forever ago!

redgreen that is a gorgeous photo! I love the lights! Our city park is getting theirs up and going now. It takes them about 3 weeks to get them fully up and they started on Halloween.

My little kitten Lilah is off to the vet for a check up. Rechecking her eyes and seeing if she's gained any weight in the 14 days we've owned her. I'm a nervous nelly

God I am exhausted. I’ve just got home. I had to go to the funeral parlour and sort out the eulogy, thankfully that’s everything for the funeral sorted now. Safe to say I am dreading it, but he deserves the very best send off ❤️
I went to see him in the rest room place at the funeral parlour, I can’t remember what it’s called. I’m so glad I did because he looked so peaceful and healthy, not like how poorly he looked in hospital. I know that sounds stupid because you can’t look healthy when you’re dead, but it’s hard to explain it. He looked like my dad, not a shell of him
