Thread 8 already; wonder how many we will get to before Christmas?!

We're members at the wetlands centres which are the same group as our local one. The kids love going! Best avoid the shop if we go again soon!

Me and DH just got home, had a lovely night last night. DC get back at 6 so will tidy up before then. DH has just been down the cellar and all our Christmas decs are broken so will go out and buy some more when the kids get home

We're watching the polar express and I've lit a Christmas candle. It's very dark already.

It’s dark by us too and very overcast. I think I might try and convince DH to let me put up some of the decorations tonight. We usually put them up on the 25th of November anyway so it isn’t too far off!

I can't wait to have our lights round the front window; the lounge feels so much more welcoming at night with them on!

It's so dark! DH is building Gabe's new bed, we've made brownies (packet) and we are watching a really awful kids christmas film (santa claws). I should have put Christmas 24 on!

Saw a house with their lights up today! We are watching The Gruffalo while DH cooks (sausage, egg, chips and peas).

There's a house on the way to school with little Christmas ornaments in the window.

Finally home! Talk about a long day.
Haven’t caught up yet but will do shortly.
My bloody family have royally pissed me off, all of them bar one of my brothers have decided to bugger off on their jollies and go on holiday abroad. Not to worry about the pregnant grieving woman who has just lost her father and has to sort everything out! Grrrr inconsiderate assholes, excuse my language but it’s true! So much for family first!
Sorry about that just needed to rant.

Are they planning to skip the funeral whilst being away? Is there some back story about their relationship with your dad / you? It all sounds so upsetting. 😢

Lovely trees, Firefly!

Nope I’m the youngest fluffy! I’ve no idea why this has all fallen on me. I was only close to my dad in the last few years, I found my mum dead when I was 4 and my dad couldn’t cope, so my grandad raised me and my brothers. My grandad is in the UK and thankfully he’s coming home next week. We are a close knit family and I can’t work out why they are acting like this. I don’t even know if they are coming back to the funeral. I wasn’t planned and was a complete surprise, so I know they blamed for essentially splitting up the family because my dad didn’t want me. I can’t work out if it’s grief or their true colours. I’m not even stressing about it at the moment, things will come good in the end :)

Mrs - I added lots of bubbles to it after I took the picture I need to try that Aldi bubble bath, any excuse for smellies I hope you had a good day with your parents lovely

Firefly - that’s a fantastic idea I will definitely get a charm for Addie too! Love the baking you’ve done it looks grand!

Heavy rain here, so I have spent the day on Christmas stuff including wrapping the gifts for DD's Advent 'calendar '. It is mainly bits and pieces of stationery, plus a Christmas mug, battery fairy lights and nice mini- toiletries.

Had tomato and mozzarella pasta bake for supper, DS2 was in bed by 8.10, DD will go at 8.40. 😋😴

Constantly, I need to do a present audit very soon. So much to do and so little time to do it! Then I can start wrapping.

We're having the boiler replaced next Friday and the rad in the front room (which is old, shit and inadequate for the space) replaced. Can't wait. Our lounge will finally be warm this Christmas! It's our 5th one here, so about time.

We’ve been shopping for the Decs, I’ve ordered a balsam hill tree and have been and got lights for outside the house. We’ve just got to get some of the little decor items for around the house but we couldn’t find anywhere to get them, any recommendations welcome.

This LO is sitting really uncomfortabley tonight, it’s making me super uncomfortable. I got a good nights sleep last night so I feel a bit more ready to take on the day. I’m going to take the dogs for a walk in a bit to see if I can get LO to shift!
