Woolly tbh I think the excess is more than the loss as the hotel was cheap. It's just stressful. Hoping the insurance is easy to change and they won't charge too much. Probably not worth the admin fee if they do!

We have to change where we're going in Lapland too which is a shame but the new one has a private sauna 🧖‍♀️😁

BiddyPop · 09/11/2018 16:31

Oh Wreck I'm sorry about that - but at least you should have snow now!! Hopefully there are some more hidden benefits to find. I like the sounds of a sauna after a snowy day though.

Acey mind yourself with all that work. But it sounds like a job well done. I was going to say yesterday that 21st sounded a long way off for here, but crematoriums are getting very busy alright.

FurForksSake · 09/11/2018 16:58

Wreck I am sorry about the lack of snow, but I guess better to move it than go and be gutted

TheWoollybacksWife · 09/11/2018 17:45

DH and I have been a couple for over 30 years and he is either becoming more tolerant of my Christmas planning or I have worn him into submission.

Today we unpacked the Christmas tree we bought for the hall and checked to see it fitted in the space and he offered to take me to either Lincoln or Birmingham for the Christmas market.

I suspect Stockholm Syndrome.

WreckTangled · 09/11/2018 18:00

🤣🤣 at Stockholm syndrome.

Yes Fur completely right. I still feel worried there won't be enough snow!

I will get our room decorations out on the 1st December but the tree won't go up until after Lapland now! So...the 15th. That'll be ok.

PhilomenaButterfly · 09/11/2018 18:12

Woolly 😂

PhilomenaButterfly · 09/11/2018 18:17

Picked DD up, went to CAMHS, picked DS2 up, bought the DC cakes at the cake sale, had chicken balti for supper. Cake😋🍛

NoWordForFluffy · 09/11/2018 18:32

Oh no, Wreck, your fears were right! But better to change the date than not have snow!

I've been busy today. We cleared the under stairs of the myriad of toys we are getting rid of for DH to take to his parents as it all goes to charity. I then sorted the bits in there so it's now more organised. DH needs to sort the shelves as they're mostly full of his bits, bar the mincemeat and Christmas pudding! But as long as I can get to the floor more easily, that'll do me.

I've been into town and bought a couple of presents, as well as some other bits and bobs, spending my birthday money! M&S has their cranberry and clementine Buck's Fizz for £4 at the moment. Down from £6. It's bloody lovely stuff! Just managed to avoid the biscuits and chocolates!

Wreck, barely any HP stuff in our Primark; it was rubbish.

I've walked over 7 miles going round and about and to school and back twice.

Ooh, and my KitchenAid arrived. It's glorious!

Hi to everyone! Too many to address individually.

WreckTangled · 09/11/2018 18:49

Ah thanks for looking fluffy. That M&S Buck's Fizz sounds delicious if I remember I'll pop in tomorrow.

PhilomenaButterfly · 09/11/2018 19:15

DS2 will go to bed at 8. 😴

WreckTangled · 09/11/2018 20:14

Wowzer Mrs! Mine weighed that at 12 weeks!

Forgot to say Acey I love the pjs too!

Redgreencoverplant · 09/11/2018 20:16

The weather is horrible here Mrs, DH decided not to head out to a leaving do too.

Feeling happy this evening as we have had progress with new kitten and our two older cats :) Also lovely feedback from nursery about DS. He doesn't nap anymore but the others do so the room leader grabs biscuits and they sit and chat together while the others sleep. She says they have the best conversations.

Pic of kitten because she is cute.

11lb 4oz!!!!!! Shock I'm clenching just thinking about it! Shock

PhilomenaButterfly · 09/11/2018 20:58

DD went to bed at 8.20. 😴 I've just had 2 mincemeat puffs. Someone on the "what have you eaten today?" thread was saying she'd eaten a turkey and something panini and a mince pie, then she saw my post that I'd had a turkey, bacon and cranberry sandwich, which made her feel better, then I told her about the lebkuchen stars and mincemeat puffs. Xmas Grin

Seafoodeatit · 09/11/2018 21:05

I'm making lemon drizzle cake, Seafood! 😋

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 09/11/2018 21:10

Lemon drizzle is my favourite

NerosFiddle · 09/11/2018 21:17

Evening all. The weather here is absolutely torrential. I'm expecting some flooding on lower ground tonight.

I've had a stressful week with all the sickness so I'm having a glass of wine tonight and some left over haribo from Halloween.

FireflyGirl · 09/11/2018 21:26

11lbs 4 ozs, dear God!! Shock

Lemon drizzle sounds lovely, Fluffy. And easily dairy free Grin

Wooly that gave me a giggle. Christmas induced Stockholm syndrome...

Sorry to hear about your holiday, Wreck. Hopefully the new arrangements mean you get snow and a better holiday!

PSB I had a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich and mini stollen. I'm feeling pretty festive Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 09/11/2018 21:30

No need for dairy free cake here. The DC are past that point on the milk ladder. But yes, use Vitalite and you're sorted!

11lb 4oz is epic Mrs! Go you!

AceyMac13 · 09/11/2018 21:43

Will catch up in the morning, I just wanted to show you all how tranquil my bath looks 😍
