Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

How exciting Heavy! Halloween Grin

Sainsbury's moved all the Christmas biscuits, so I went on an expedition in search of shortbread wreaths for the DC, finally found them in a Christmas section with all the other biscuits. I could have done with a sherpa. Everything's being moved in readiness for Thursday.

NerosFiddle · 29/10/2018 16:54

Just did put a Tesco order to come tomorrow. The delivery man will probably judge me because it's 6 bottles of Prosecco, bleach and toilet roll. But the Prosecco is for Christmas . It was on offer at £6.50 and when you buy 6 you get an extra 25% off. My next Tesco order will come on Saturday and I hope this time I don't buy ridiculous stuff.

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 29/10/2018 16:54

Heating up leftover chicken hotpot for supper. 😋🍗

NoWordForFluffy · 29/10/2018 17:59

Quality shopping there, Nero! 😂🍾

My cold has come on good and proper at work today.

I've managed to get to Friday last week for emails. I didn't even go near my task list though. Never mind, tomorrow is another day!

Dis is still unwell. Feel bad for sending him to school. He came home with a fever then a little while ago was crying because his head hurt then he was sick. He was fine all day yesterday so I have no idea what's going on!

TheWoollybacksWife · 29/10/2018 18:08

Brrrr. Flipping freezing here and for some reason the heating went off in work this afternoon. I'm warmed up nicely now though.

Heading off to our Belgian battlefield visit on Wednesday. Looking forward to taking DS on the Eurostar and having waffles, beer and chocolate 🐷

Neros the 25% off wine deal is brilliant. I stocked up on the last one and I'm seriously considering doing another Tesco run this week to get some more.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/10/2018 18:12

Wreck, has he got photosensitivity and are his hands and feet cold? I'd be taking him to get checked out with the symptoms you describe, to be honest. Just to rule out anything nasty.

It is a good price for prosecco with the deal, but I'm going to swap Nectar points for free booze next month!

DS2 will go to bed at 7. 😴

WreckTangled · 29/10/2018 18:17

No he hasn't. He wanted the lights off but it was because of his headache rather than anything else. He could look at the light ok. His hands are warm and his temp has gone down this time.

CrazyBaubles · 29/10/2018 19:31

Nero I love that shopping basket

Heavy that cafe sounds perfect. Reading it made me think of a favourite cafe DH & I stumbled on in Loch Ness. It has homemade meals and cakes, an open fire, squishy sofas and sells crafts by local artists.
I love a good cosy cafe.

Wreck hope DS is feeling better, poor mite.

School holidays here so no real traffic. Went out for tea as a treat and am just about to do some online shopping (I keep looking but haven't bought much yet).

Heavystream · 29/10/2018 19:33

Just been to get a chippy. All big furniture is moved in now, just gotta sort out the boys’ playroom and add decor and everything. But all going well so far

NoWordForFluffy · 29/10/2018 20:09

Sounds good, Heavy!

Crazy, that place in Loch Ness sounds lovely. The scenery round there is breathtaking.

Wreck, how odd. I wonder if it's migraine?

WreckTangled · 29/10/2018 20:11

I did wonder. Unusual for children to get. Maybe just part of this nasty virus he has. Dh is having tomorrow off with him.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/10/2018 20:25

How's his eyesight?

Maybe see how he is when he's over the bug, then you'll see if it's the bug or something else which has shown itself at the same time.

DD will go to bed at 8.40. 😴 I've packed DS2's snack for basketball club: half a baguettine and some carrot sticks. 🏀😋🍞

ConstantlyCooking · 29/10/2018 22:10

Thank you for the tip MrsMad. Matching Christmas pjs will definitely be a hit!
DH and I are just back from a weekend break and i now have everything for DD's advent calendar to count down to the end of term. Obviously both DC will have 'real' calendars at home. I will try to get to Aldi for bedding as DH doesn't believe it is a necessity! (But he through out my GH Get Ahead for Christmas magazine so I think I am justified if I LTB.
Both DC are Christmas lovers so I should be ok. They are both home from uni this coming weekend as they have the same reading week.
Difficult few months as I have both parents' birthdays and anniversaries in in the run up to Christmas. DM especially loved creating wonderful Christmases so the bar is quite high!

Morning! I woke up at 3.38, my body clock has obviously adjusted to the clocks going back. Halloween Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 30/10/2018 06:03

Morning!

It's decided to rain here, just as I'm about to leave the house. Boo!

Still rather chilly too. ❄️❄️❄️

Winter is definitely on the way!

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 30/10/2018 06:25

I know, DD actually regretted that she wasn't wearing a coat yesterday! Halloween Shock She's leaving the house at 7.30 today for her reading booster.

WreckTangled · 30/10/2018 07:20

His eyesight is fine. He fell asleep promptly at 6:30 last night and is still asleep. He did wake once but with growing pains rather than anything else! Hopefully a restful day will make him feel better.

Mrsmadevans · 30/10/2018 07:41

WreckTangled · 30/10/2018 07:55

We had half term last week! Meant to be school photos today, I'm not worried about him missing them though as the school hire the worst photographer in the world 😁

NerosFiddle · 30/10/2018 09:14

The car was completely frozen over this morning. Sitting catching up now with a cup of hot tea and the heating on while the dc watch Paw Patrol.

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 30/10/2018 09:35

Oh no, we had our half term last week Mrs, that would have been beyond the pale! Halloween Grin

Having a ham and tomato omelette today. 😋🍅

CrazyBaubles · 30/10/2018 09:41

Wreck I wondered if it was a migraine too but thought he's too young. Hopefully he's feeling better today.

PSB that is a ridiculously early start!

I had to de-ice the car at 7 this morning and my car temp display said it was -1!! ❄️Even DH has given in to switching from shorts to trousers and has put the heating on and that's unheard of before November 1st
