Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

Yesterday's party was great success. We had a few no shows due to sickness but all in all it was great fun. DS was so exhausted after it, he wanted to go to sleep at 5. Kept him up until 6 and both him and dd slept until 6.30 (new time) this morning.
There is a lot of frost here today but sunny enough that it should lift it soon.

I bought the Christmas Good Housekeeping and Woman&Home

Keeping them safe till I have a half-day .

My tree (actually its trees plural) are going up Thursday/Friday this week!

I'm really starting to stress about there not being snow in Lapland! I keep googling and just find so many stories of it bring cold and foggy with no snow. Wish we had paid more and booked December now.

Well yesterday was a weird one for us , l felt really out of sorts and it must be from the extra hour in bed and the darker evenings!
I did sort my duvet covers out ready for Christmas, all of us have king size duvets for Winter so we will be using them till May! Have put all the single duvets away till then. I recycled 2 duvets, 2 fitted sheets and numerous pillow cases too, they were just worn and had to go

DD2 is still poorly with her throat so am making an appt for her to go to the GP , better shift they are nearly open.

Aldi are doing Christmas duvet covers from Sunday. Their kind sizes are only £15. Every year I say I want festive duvets covers and every year I don't do it...it would be sensible not to tbh. I don't need them. 🙄 back to work today. Humph.

In McDonald's, DS2 had a bacon roll meal, DD had a bacon roll, I had a double sausage and egg McMuffin meal. 😋🍳

I could be perimenopausal Fluffy, I have an implant, so I haven't had a period since before I was pregnant with DS2, so 8 years ago.

It might be worth asking for bloods to be done, to check stuff out. It could throw up something which could help you get more sleep. Maybe!

Mrs, I hope your DD is better soon. Poor thing.

PSB how do you manage on such little sleep? I survive on 6.5 - 7 hours a night and that's a struggle.

Sorry been AWOL for a while! All well here, it is half term so enjoying the benefits of my new school job :)

Am ever so slightly behind on the grand plan but only by a day or two. Otherwise I have been a bit rubbish at Christmas planning but I think November will give me the jolt I need!

We just had tomato soup and tiger bread for lunch, it’s so cold!!

Going to beamish on Friday, we went on Friday on the way up and saw loads of things in the gift shop for Christmas presents.

Thank you all!. We’re doing well, boys have got a bit bored though so I’ve took them down to a cafe whilst DH, DF and DFIL help do the heavy lifting. My poor DF is only 5’7 and very weak and DH and DFIL are both over 6’ and very strong, he can barely keep up with them!. DMIL is watching over them to make sure everything goes in the right place and DM has come with me to the cafe. It’s lovely living so close to her.

There’s an open fire in the cafe and we’re having a Victoria sponge between us. We’ve just had a spiced butternut squash and honey soup which was lovely. And now we’re having hot chocolate. We’ll have chips tonight!.

I’ve been planning the Christmas Eve boxes and think everything’s set up so I’m very excited!.
