Not a million miles from me (East Midlands). Hope it all goes smoothly. We moved this year and the worst bit was the wait for broadband.

It’s all gone smoothly so far, so we’re just waiting for something to go wrong now!

Mince pies done! Our oven bakes a touch unevenly, but they're not so bad!

We've eaten any which look a bit sad.

I'll freeze these once they're cool and we'll defrost as we need them later in the year. 🎄🎅🎄🎅

A quarter of my family are from Suffolk Heavy. DS1 and DD1's dad's from Scotland, the first time I took him, he was going round saying "My God, it's flat!"

Had spaghetti pomodoro with garlic pizza bread for supper, DS2 was in bed by 6. 😋🍝

We're keeping the kids up due to the clocks going back! Hopefully it'll work. 😂

We are keeping up until 7.30. Then books, then sleep at 7.45 - 8.00. Should get us sleep until 7.00-ish tomorrow! In theory.

Ds was asking to go to bed at 6:15 so couldn't keep him up much later. He's still under the weather though, I've had so many cuddles today 😍 dd is up watching strictly and will go to bed once it's finished.

Generally we don't get up when the dc do though, they're allowed an hour of their kindles at the weekend so that keeps them happy for a bit

Ours won't get up without us yet, sadly! Maybe next summer when they're 6 and 5. Maybe!

DS is still ill too. He was asleep as soon as I turned the light out after reading his - 4! - books! I just hope our tactic works! He's been in a foul mood all day. It's wearing.

Ds doesn't like to go down on his own really but dd(8) is usually up first.

Pretty sure dh has fallen asleep with ds as he hasn't come back downstairs yet 😅

I have spent my evening reading the Christmas Good Housekeeping.

I bought a 3foot high wooden reindeer from Home Bargains, the picture on the box showed it in a field. Got it home, get the instructions out - not for use outside

There is nowhere in my house for a 3foot high pile of logs! Unfortunately, I had the inspired idea to get DS to help me build it. He has called it Turkey (I have no idea!! I can't remember mentioning turkeys, aside from constructing the reindeer we've been doing Halloween activities!) and really wants it to live in the living room.

I shifted my hangover with a very greasy breakfast and hit Sainsbury's. Sale wasn't great really but I bought an outfit for each niece and nephew so with 25% off I had quite a saving as there are 6 of them to buy for!
Some festive chocolates may have also fallen in my trolly
I had a look at the Home stuff but didn't see the reindeer plate. I was very tempted by some beautiful robin printed napkins.
I would have also bought some Christmas bedding but the set I wanted was only there up to a double and we have a king.

Its turned bitterly cold here and we had a small dusting of snow for half an hour earlier. Definitely felt festive today! 🎄

I went to see BoRha (Queen film) so now I'm happily pootling through their tracks

I bought a black cardigan (I'd been searching a while , how hard is it to buy a back cardi? ) a pair of leggings and a tunic top in the Sainsburys 25% off so I'm well pleased .

My DS has been coughing a while but he's 18yo so if I wanted to get cough medicine down his neck I'd need to arm wrestle him to the floor

I chose to use it for sleeping! 😀

The kids are still asleep, but are stirring a bit, but that's not so bad! DS is actually singing to himself. 😂

Ds was up at 6 (new time) so not bad. He was happy to come down by himself but was scared of the dark so I had to do the lamps anyway. Dh is still in bed 🤔

70, we have to wrestle DS to take liquid medicine; he's a nightmare. DD is far more compliant!
