HOW did we get past the 200 mark so fast? And only 12 Days until Christmas in July starts, for anyone who celebrates that.

Morning! I'm in bed drinking coffee, DS2's just gone back to bed with the tablet. 😋☕

No autumn here yet, still far too hot and dry, although it's getting dark a little earlier, I have to draw the curtains and put the light on at about 8.30, just before sunset. 😆

I love Calamity Jane Fluffy. She was so sassy and beautiful , gave the men as good as she got. It was really funny too. Have been reminiscing about the musicals l love best and l think it has to be My Fair Lady. I loved Audrey Hepburn she was so beautiful .The songs were lovely in it too, l love the one Freddy sings to her 'on the street where she lives' and when Rex is exasperated with her behaviour and he then breaks into a lovely line , 'l've grown accustomed to her face ' l love that one . Hope your shoulder is better today , DH said his is much better than it was and whether it is or not l don't really know . I am suspicious he is just saying that to avoid the GP!!! MEN!!!

I see you have 4 boys and all under 4 how lovely for you all , and a newborn with that beautiful smell they have aahhhhhh takes me back to when my girls were tiny such a lovely time in life . You enjoy them and make the most of them m'dear. Congratulations
Right l had better shift going to the Parents , DM has a hearing aid lady calling later with advice and info about equipment she can use with her hearing aids , lets hope it can help her a bit ,

It's hot during the day, PSB, but early mornings and late evenings have the dampness of impending autumn. It's not actually autumn-like during the day, you can just feel it inching in!

I'm not keen on musicals really. Though there's a few I enjoy! Old school G&S are funny.

I too am laughing at your DDad doing what he's told for the lovely lady Dr MrsMad.

I've missed loads of you out - I'll catch up again soon. I'm also in the sore shoulders camp - almost better but not quite yet - after a "family surfing lesson" over the weekend (my mad crazy DSis hoodwinked me into it with the 3 DGrandkids (DD and 2 DNs) - and it was only 2 adults involved)....but I did manage to stand up by the shore twice (literally as the board hit the sand - but standing!!).

Work will be busy but boring this week - clearing admin etc before the holidays. But we are kinda getting organized now - we've been away the last 2 weekends (scout camp and family and sailing competition) but we did manage to get the bank holiday at home yesterday so the laundry is done and some organizing as well.

And I am going to spend a lot on trinket things in China for Chritmas presents and hopefully get a few things for our tree as well - I try to get something every year from some travels and this year will be holidays (some years its' interesting work travel, some holidays, some both).

Oh well, I'd better go do the filing and clear a few leave requests for staff...and maybe do some work on a form I need to get done as well....

I had an operation yesterday so I've a day of laying in bed and catching up on everything I've missed.

I am off to see Lieutenant of innishmore tonight with Aidan Turner (mmmm).

Then tomorrow i will need to get the GH magazine to get the Christmas spirit moving. I have one lot of Christmas vodka on the go and am planning to try some favoured gin as well - plus chutneys but they are not so urgent.
A Level results next week (it feels like Groundhog Day as DD is re-sitting two. I am planning lots of new traditions around DS and DD coming home for Christmas. DD insists on a Christmas Eve box and both like seasonal bedding.

Congratulations wicker and hope you recover quickly fiddle! I am on my second day off work ill so have really made progress with my decorations

Hope I feel well enough tomorrow to track down a copy of GH!

I'm on the way home now. Time to carry on reading my magazine. There's loads of recipes I want to try out in it!

I saw it in WH Smith's today. I am in hosp with my youngest and it was in the shop in the foyer. I nearly bought it to cheer myself up as I am on day 8 but I valiently resisted . Wish I hadn't as I am in the mood to get in the Christmas spirit now !

Fluffy my granny's friend's an opera singer, Gillian Knight, she's performed so much G & S!

Had lunch in the Sainsbury's café, DS2 had sausage, chips, peas and gravy, clotted cream tea and a chocolate chip cookie, I had Mediterranean veggie lasagne and salad and a Calippo, dropped DS2 off at Adventure, bought him a shampoo rinser jug, it's made of flexible plastic which moulds round the head so water doesn't go on the face, picked up his Incredibles costume for his birthday, which I'd ordered on click and collect, picked DS2 up at 5, had bangers and mash for supper, he was in bed by 8.30, I've been in bed since 8.55. 😋🍪😴😴

Morning! Another rubbish night's sleep thanks to my shoulder. I need to ring the GP for an appointment. We don't have a minor injuries unit here, it's GP or A&E, which is annoying, as an MIU could scan me, but instead I'll have to be referred and go through that palaver!

It's my Thursday today, woooo!
