Going to walk up to the local market today and buy some sprouts lol
DD1 is back to Uni tomoz in Manchester prob not see her till Feb half term and we are doing a naice tea for her she hates sprouts but hubbs is doing the coooking and guess what he lurves them so we all have to have them lol
Have a great day everyone, weather is looking a bit wet out there but we are braving it to hunter gather said sprouts lol!

Just been to my local library. Took out a load of Christmas books to get inspiration for this year. Funnily enough they had a really good selection available

Thank you Firefly l am scoffing a cookie atm comfort eatingand DH has done the prep for said naice tea lol l sat on my increasingly fat derriere and let him do it
However l have just entertained the troops ie had the entire fam here for the Goodbyes to DD1.....sob... so l am not being too down on myself for the scoffing........
We are taking the tree down on the weekend very sad about it too but it could be intermingled with the dd1 going back ..... bit more comfort eating is on the cards methinks .....l am glad l didn't rid the house of everything edible lol

I won some biscuits in the raffle at work. Only found out today as they drew it on the last day when I wasn't in! They look lovely!

I'm resisting them on the train home. It's hard!

First day back for me too, it went more quickly than I'd expected so I'm happy with that.
First day of healthier eating for me...quite fancy a biscuit myself!

My day flew past. So much to do and not enough time to do it.

I'm on top of my post. Just need to sort my task list and emails now! I'll go in early on Friday if I feel I'm lagging.

The biscuits are just beautiful Fluffy.Enjoy them ! I would love to win something like them because they are so expensive you would never buy them for yourself.

I hadn't realised their cost until I just googled it. They're rather dear! I will have to eat one to see what they're like!

Well, it's a bit windy on the NW coast. It sounded terrible overnight (DS woke us squawking, so we then couldn't get back to sleep!). It's still windy, but not as bad as it was and more gusty rather than constant.

I hung some washing out in the sheltered part of our garden down the side of the house when I got up, so that should be dry soon!

I'm so tired. At least it's only a 4 day week.

DS struggled with sleep last night too fluffy. We are also NW.

Ooh, we're being maligned in AIBU as 'ruining what used to be a lovely meaningful and family time in deepest mid winter for the rest of us.' Who'd have thought discussing (very pretty) biscuits could wield such power!

And apparently, none of us have anything better to do with our time

Me too Sprouts! I lurk on here constantly but rarely post and I post even less on AIBU but that thread has got my heckles up. Or as DS has said “Mum why are you typing like you are angry” “You’ve got a face like when Wonder Woman gets a baddie” 🤣🤣🤣

My DH can tell by how I'm typing if I'm telling somebody what's what! It's quite funny how he just knows.

I feel sorry for them tbh they seem so miserable and miserly , I am thinking they may be traumatised from seeing mummy kissing Santa Claus when they were little lol

As advised, bought a bottle of wine to go with my dad's mulled wine set. He took one look at it and said "God I hate wine!!" then promptly made mulled gin
