Later on is key there, it seems! Xmas Blush

Basically, dinner at 5 ish, make the pie afterwards!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 18/02/2018 13:20

Had maple pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast, chicken in red wine and thyme sauce with potatoes in creamy garlic sauce for lunch. πŸ˜‹πŸ—πŸ·

Thank you for the welcome, getting quite jealous of all the lovely meals you are having. In theory we are main on Friday so are eating down all the food in the kitchen so there is less to pack. It’s resulted in some very interesting meals. It’s unknown meat and pasta later.

FridgeCut · 18/02/2018 15:57

We are having cottage pie for dinner.

Wilf is making Christmas lego (blox) that was in his stocking. We bought him a new wardrobe and turned his kallax on its side. Lots of space for his christmas tree this year :)

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/02/2018 16:09

Welcome Fuzzy. I'm also getting ready to move (probably around the middle of next month) and I'm also running the freezer down. This means that there is apple crumble for pudding tonight as I'm working my way through the stock of frozen apples in the garage freezer.

I haven't got as far as packing anything properly yet but I have been streamlining stuff. My airing cupboard is a work of art Grin and I have donated all the excess bedding and towels to the local vet. I took extra care packing up all the Christmas decorations in January so I know they are all securely packed.

Having an hour to myself now with my crochet and trying to get stuff done to send to Woolly Hugs.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 18/02/2018 16:14

In the pub, DS2's having chicken nuggets, chips and beans, DD's having scampi, mash and peas, I'm having a cheese and tuna melt panini and chips. πŸ˜‹πŸ—πŸŸπŸ€πŸŸπŸŸ

Mrsmadevans · 18/02/2018 18:26

Woolly ooohhhh apple crumble just gorgeous ! You have given me a great idea to donate my excess duvet covers to the local vets thank you!
Fridge, I love cottage pie, we always put lashings of cheese on the top and cook till crisp ......YES!! The blox sets are very good and a fraction of the price of Lego well done Wilkos.
Wreck, I hope you had something naice for your lunch after. I am only just going to have my Sunday lunch now because of all the visitors we have had , sister and bil came after, nephew and his boyfriend and my mum and dad phew .Add in NDN visit and our walk and the day has just evaporated !

SallyLockhartsDog · 18/02/2018 18:36

We have had a lovely day...
Went to SIL's for a mass family croissant breakfast, then a tidy up at home followed by My Fair Lady dvd and roaring fire - perfect!

I am teaching myself crochet at the moment woolly, I normally knit but I'm jealous of all the amazing crochet squares I'm seeing on the woolly hugs page!!

Just putting baby to bed then enjoying a hot chocolate with my big girls. Wish I was having apple crumble Envy

NoWordForFluffy · 18/02/2018 19:04

I can make pastry, Mrs, but I generally don’t for such things. The only time I’m guaranteed to make it is at Christmas for my mince pies. (Speaking of which, we are finishing the mince pies tonight; they lasted ages as I made way too much at Christmas!)

The pie is now ready and waiting for DH to cook tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Tomorrow night I’m making more of the Jamie Oliver sausage rolls which were a-may-zing at Christmas. They taste just stunning. I got two cheap packs of sausage meat after Christmas in Sainsbury’s (they were selling them off for about 60p each!) so I’ll use that. Plus shop-bought puff pastry.

I love a bit of cooking / baking. I turned old bananas into muffins earlier. DD claims she doesn’t like bananas. So I put chocolate chips in them, and we call them chocolate chip muffins. She loves them then! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

WreckTangled · 18/02/2018 19:07

I did quesadillas for lunch and chicken pasta for dinner. Was a nice day but I'll be in bed soon after my late night last night Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/02/2018 19:56

Sally BellaCoco is great for crochet tutorials - also Attic24 and the PurlBee. My local yarn shop runs classes - have a look to see if yours does similar.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 18/02/2018 20:27

The DC had warm chocolate brownie chunks with ice cream and chocolate sauce for pudding, we got back at 7.20, DS2's in bed, DD will go at 8.30. πŸ˜‹πŸ«πŸ¨πŸ˜΄

NoWordForFluffy · 18/02/2018 20:31

My two were asleep before 7. I'm off to bed soon; not enough sleep so far this weekend!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 19/02/2018 04:34

I'm awake far too early. 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴

WreckTangled · 19/02/2018 07:42

Eugh. Monday.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/02/2018 07:52

Not long til we break through to the 200s! Xmas Grin

I've done a full day's work before leaving the bloody house:

  • 30 mins on cross trainer;
  • towels into washing machine and tubes on for DH to hang out later;
  • new towels / tea towels put out;
  • beef casserole made for dinner;
  • small boy entertained as he woke up grumpy; and
  • Batcave (Duplo) built for said small boy!

Now I'm on the train to work. Knackered!

NoWordForFluffy · 19/02/2018 07:53

Tubes?! Turned!

Autocorrect gets more and more mental with every iOS update!

FuzzyPenguin · 19/02/2018 07:56

Hope the move goes well for you woollybacks we have been streamlining for a few months now, it amazing how much stuff you collect over the years. I think the charity shop know me by name the amount of times I have been in now!

Hope everyone’s Monday goes well, it’s grey and grotty here which sums up how I feel about Monday’s

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 19/02/2018 08:02

Got up at school time, in McDonald's, DS2's having a bacon roll meal, DD's having a bacon roll (she doesn't like deep fried hash browns), I'm having a cheesy bacon flatbread meal. πŸ˜‹

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 19/02/2018 08:09

Fluffy I'm imagining a Duplo Batcave as being massive! Shock

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 19/02/2018 08:11
