He started throwing up blood, he is underweight for reasons unknown so this has pushed him close to the edge of very poorly. He had really low blood sugar and was really dehydrated. They are wondering if he is coeliac and that is why he isn't gaining weight. So we were in for a fluid challenge, tomorrow it will be a drip if he doesn't improve before then.

ChristmasAddict · 29/12/2017 21:04

Oh no fridge I hope they get to the bottom of it!

SideOrderofSprouts · 29/12/2017 21:11

Oh no, Fridge. Poor baby. I hope you get answers soon. Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 29/12/2017 21:42

Oh Fridge, poor Wilf, poor you and your family, I so hope he is much better very very soon. I hope you are all ok my dear. It is so worrying when the little ones are ill, we would so much prefer it to be us .

TheWoollybacksWife · 29/12/2017 23:02

Oh Fridge I hope he feels better soon.

Second Christmas sounds a bit Hobbit-y - like second breakfast. I think that sounds like a fabulous idea.

Please can I join.
I don't care if you can or can't count I just love Christmas preparations.

Trees coming down today, saving standing order set up. Left overs eaten. Learning for next year in 2018 diary today.
Our recycling men are going to cry on Tuesday- 9 bags of paper and boxes.

hashtagelfie · 30/12/2017 09:00

Oh mrs that sounds so perfect!
I'd love to see otters in the wild though. What a wonderful sight!

bailey my dd is 14 and only ever appears out of her room for food. I hate it, and I miss her. But at the same time ds3 is 2 and the idea of an hour of utter peace and quiet seems incredible

Oh fringe how scary. I hope Wilf gets better very soon. Thanks

WreckTangled · 30/12/2017 09:03

Oh hi life Grin

hashtagelfie · 30/12/2017 09:06

Welcome lifelong I was so pleased when our recycling men came on Thursday, there was sooo much! I was worried they wouldn't take it and we'd have to take it all to the dump

FridgeCut · 30/12/2017 09:26

Wilf seems better today, he’s eaten! Hope is hanging on a good New Year’s Day.

We are definitely going to be hobbits and have a Christmas meal towards Rudolph day. Crackers, Christmas jumpers and everything. Think we’ll try and take him for a nice trip out too.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 30/12/2017 09:51

Hi life! Our recycling collection isn't until next week. And we can only put the wheelie bin out. And the lid has to fully close!

We have a shedful of card waiting to go in once it's empty AND the inlaws took a load with them after Christmas Day too. It's been breeding!

I should set up a standing order too. Must decide how best to save!

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/12/2017 12:31

They will take it all even though it takes up most of the path at the end of our drive. It has to be properly sorted though. Our bin for rubbish had to be fully closed but we never fill ours even at Christmas - see recycling above.

WreckTangled · 30/12/2017 12:36

Our bins got collected today (usually Thursday) but they've said that they'll take any rubbish that won't fit in the bin for waste and recycling. Our bin men will do that any time though they're really good.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/12/2017 13:02

Poor Wilf - good that he's eaten a bit but it is nerve wracking when they are ill at any time, seems 100x worse at Christmas (its a sort of limbo in A&E , life goes on in there while Christmas is happening everywhere else)

Hope they get to the bottom of whatever is the problem Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 30/12/2017 17:39

Aw Fridge thank God Wilf is better , been thinking about you my dear Have a wonderful Rudolph day with him.
We took all the rubbish to the tip we just couldn't stand it here anymore!
Welcome Life!
I have discussed the present crisis here this year with my dsis and my dh, we have decided to not buy so many toys for the little ones (my great neice and great nephew, 4 and 8). Only this year they had presents before Christmas on the WEDS am from DSIS , Weds lunchtime (OFF US) and Weds afternoon from my mum and dad, and come Thursday morning they were asking where their presents were for Thursday lol. It is our fault for spoiling them and I realised we need to stop it because it is ridiculous.
Hash I couldn't believe it was an otter I was thrilled they are so quick , no sooner did I see it and it was gone, I was so lucky .
Not going to be such a slave to the sales this year too the whole house is clogged up with sales and presents all year through and I am fed up of it , NO MORE! I have bought a couple of things for my dh birthday in February but for the rest I am seriously thinking flowers and money and vouchers or anything from Amazon that I can get delivered there lol!

SideOrderofSprouts · 30/12/2017 20:47

Welcome lifelong

Nope I can’t count

Fridge I’m glad wilf is better ❀️

I know tomorrow is NYE but this time last week was Christmas Eve Eve .
We'd done all the household stuff and DH and I were planning a toodle round the shops ( without the DC) on the Sunday.

DD has a NYE party/sleepover planned so I'm just in the middle of cleaning (again) , hopefully she's cleared the bathroom shelves and I can waft round with some spray cleaner.

Need to remember to get a bottle of something fizzy but non alcohol (for me I don't drink). to toast the Bells.

FireflyGirl · 30/12/2017 23:24

I'm glad Wilf is on the mend, Fridge. There's never a good time, but you really don't need it at Christmas!

DS has finally finished opening his presents today. He only had about a dozen, but he has just wanted to play with them after he's opened them.

I was worried about him getting overwhelmed, so I'm glad he has done it at his own pace. But am also pleased I can put the Christmas sack away now!

Our bin men usually come on a Thursday, but no sign of them. I can't find my little leaflet about Christmas collections. I must have recycled it... Grin

We forgot to put our recycling bin out before we left to visit family. Luckily one of our lovely neighbours noticed our bin wasn't out and went and got it for us. It's already half full again with the Christmas wrapping stuff. Confused

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/12/2017 06:35

Thanks everyone.

I'm getting grandparents panto tickets this year for their gift. Better than what feels like buying for buying sake. Can tick that of the list this weekend for next year.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/12/2017 06:36

Pleased W seems to be picking up frigde

SideOrderofSprouts · 31/12/2017 08:35

Anyone bothering with resolutions?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 31/12/2017 08:41

No resolutions here. Only money related ones, meal plan better, save as much as I can etc etc

We're going to gunwharf today so I can spend some of my Christmas money. It's a shopping outlet.
