Happy Friday!
I really wanted a quiet weekend this week but dosn't look like that is on the cards...
I just want to hibernate πŸ˜‚

WreckTangled · 26/01/2018 08:15

There was one person being really rude wasn't there?!

No plans for the weekend really which is nice. Got a new sofa coming this afternoon and his morning I'm going to a workshop about anxiety in children.

SallyLockhartsDog · 26/01/2018 08:51

That sounds really interesting wreck.

The older DC and DH are away this weekend so I will be playing with baby DC, eating lots of chocolate & watching films that they would hate Grin.

Have also bought a couple of presents for DH and DC in the leftover sales...bits I know they would love. So have decided to celebrate Valentine's this year...do a pancake breakfast in shape of love hearts, watch a good film. Something like White Christmas but not set at Christmas - any ideas?

Mrsmadevans · 26/01/2018 09:27

Morning everyone!
Not many plans this weekend really, just lots of walking if weather holds up. Going for a walk in a min. I am turning into a walking addict lol!
Jan nearly gone, soon be Valentines , Mother's day, Easter, Spring, Summer the time is going by so fast.
Have a great day everyone, hope all well.

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 26/01/2018 16:16

Hi everyone. We're off to the deep tomorrow with bil/sil and family. We went last year and you can go for free as many times as you like within the year. Our tickets nearly up so going to take advantage.

Just read through the rudolph day thread, oh dear. For my rudolph day I treated myself to a Christmas planner. So I'll be looking forward to writing in that next rudolph day.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

''Tis rare I get to post the countdown! Just watching YT videos and realised how late it is - oops.

Tomorrow, after Cubs and dropping DD off to a school thing, I get a nice lunch, my hot stone massage and (assuming I don't stay up all night like tonight!) a long sleep all to myself! Blisssssssss

NoWordForFluffy · 27/01/2018 06:45

Sounds amazing, Biddy!

This morning is all about giving blood for me. Need to get up and start to drink soon, make sure I'm hydrated.

Mrsmadevans · 27/01/2018 08:43

Biddy have a great day sweetie enjoy!
Fluffy , well done on the blood donation and your DH , unfortunately I am not able to donate I was given a blood transfusion after the birth of my DDs and the risk of VCJD after having it stops me. I honestly don't know how they manage to keep enough blood for the needs of the service because everyone who had a blood transfusion since 1980 is banned and that must be a hellova lot of ppl. So excellent stuff WELL DONE and thank you for doing it .
Not doing much today the usual walking l hope
take care all have a great day .

NoWordForFluffy · 27/01/2018 12:35

Blood donated! DH has the start of a cold so isn't allowed to do it today. He'll pop to the permanent place in Liverpool another day. Xx

NoWordForFluffy · 27/01/2018 12:36

Oops. Kisses fail! BlushGrin

WreckTangled · 27/01/2018 13:55

I wish I could donate blood but I'm diabetic so not allowed. Well done Smile

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/01/2018 16:02

Flowers for the blood donation Fluffy

I was looking to donate but its really difficult to find somewhere - they're now pre-booked with no drop -ins.
I had to cancel my last one because I wouldn't have got out of work in time but my deputy (DS) who was 17 at the time manned up and booked in my place, DH went with him.

DS troughed a good pint-of-blood-worth of crisps'n'bikkies after (there's nothing of him, skinny scrap) , I told him his blood will be coursing round someones veins now .

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/01/2018 16:06

Thanks from me too Fluffy

I can't give blood either but DD1 is my very able deputy. I do taxi duty when she donates as she gets a bit light headed. She donated her last pint in 20 minutes flat - the nurse said it was like opening a tap Shock

NoWordForFluffy · 27/01/2018 17:57

I just wish I'd started donating earlier in life, but I can't go back in time, so I'll just do as many as I can from now on!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/01/2018 17:58

Action photo! 😁

Mrsmadevans · 27/01/2018 18:19

Great stuff Fluffy .I think you are so good for doing this so many don't bother and it is so needed. I had to have 3 pints when I had my DD2 (it all went tits up and we both nearly died ) . So it is very close to home . If I could donate then I most definitely would . Brilliant Girl and these are deliberate kisses XXX!

Yaaaaaaawn. My DS wakes way too early!

Going to need an early night tonight; need more sleep before work! At least I'm not doing anymore overtime for now so I get 45 minutes' more in bed in the morning. 😁

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 28/01/2018 07:19

Oh snap fluffy, we've been up since 5.30am. Thankfully though we all went to bed when my 10 week old ds went to sleep at 7. He gave us 5 hours uninterrupted sleep. Amazing! My daughters always been an early bird, much like her dad.

We're off to the in laws for dinner today so I've got out of cooking this week. I hope you manage to get some rest fluffy and enjoy your lay in tomorrow.

Mrsmadevans · 28/01/2018 15:02

Hello hope all ok today. Been out for a great walk up the Blorenge it was so windy but so exhilarating.
Got our first Snowdrops in the garden , I love Snowdrops, Spring is just around the corner ....Yay!

Come one come all. It’s countdown to Christmas 2018!
NoWordForFluffy · 28/01/2018 16:49

I have:

  1. Gone through my seeds and planned when they'll need planting and where (in or outdoors), then planned where they'll be situated in the garden to grow;
  2. Dug the veggie patch over, then put more manure on and dug it over a second time;
  3. Moved the little greenhouses (frames with poly covers; no room for a traditional glass one), dug and levelled the ground and repositioned them into this year's spots;
  4. Gone round the garden with a spade tidying edges and borders and getting rid of weeds / moss; and
  5. Jet washed the paving round the entire length of the house.

I still need to jet wash the front paving and prune the buddleia down to 12 inches. That's next week's jobs!

My back is killing me now. Had a rare bath afterwards to ease the muscles but not sure I'll be moving tomorrow! πŸ˜‚

Sounds like a lovely walk, Mrs.

You have lovely handwriting mine is just illegible
You are getting like that Biddy lol, so much work to do so little time lol
Walk was just amazing ..... loved it , I was on a high ....

NoWordForFluffy · 28/01/2018 19:38

I love snowdrops; there's definitely spring in the air!

You're getting into your walking, Mrs, which is ace. Maybe get yourself a Fitbit? Challenge yourself with your step count!

That is my best writing. Day-to-day it's appalling! πŸ˜‚

NoWordForFluffy · 28/01/2018 19:41

Look at the teapot I won on eBay!

Love the teapot Fluffy must get a Santa Teapot and copy Fluffy lol
Fluffy I love walking , it is so good for my stress levels. I would love a fitbit was going to get one for DH birthday but he poured scorn on it spoilsport
Spring is definitely in the air , the birds are singing their little hearts out when we go walking. It is for want of a word.....JOYOUS....

I bet if you got yourself one he'd soon want one (if only to prove that he does more steps than you!), Mrs!

On the way to work...I'd forgotten what time my normal train is after a couple of weeks of early starts. Fail! It was much nicer to get up at 5.45 rather than 5 too. 😁

I ache like buggery today...with more gardening to do this weekend too. DH's parents have a few bags of rich soil we are going to liberate, so I'll need to dig those in. He needs to increase the retaining wall by one course this week first though, so hopefully the weather will hold out!
