My crown just fell out! I'm blaming all the talk of dentists. Mine is closed for the weekend too

Thank you for the beautiful picture Hairspray your table looks gorgeous, you are right........ it is too long since Christmas was here , I am wondering if we need to make more of other events such as Easter etc I don't really do that but I think I am going to start .

I'm at the dentist...the waiting room is almost the worst part! I hate the smell and the noise!

MrsMad whispers back I usually buy an arrangement already made for Christmas, but I do LOVE to make my own if I get the time. It is finding the time. And I definitely don't get the time any other time in the year - any flowers in the house are flung in a vase and some water chucked in after them.

Hand hold offered to both Wreck and Fluffy for the dentist....I hope it's over soon Fluffy, and that you can get sorted easily Wreck. (Reminds me, I think I am due a visit, must ring up and make the appointment....)

MIL was very naughty Fridge she needs a smack .Always lay the table ready before the big day so I have no excuse to not fill my own crackers or have flowers on the table or have 2 table runners .
Wreck..... I use toothy pegs to stick mine back on with it doesn't last long but it does work albeit temporarily . You can get it from Wilkos.
Think I need to rehash my Christmas prep ....

I get a bunch of ivy and rosemary from the garden, a handful of bought roses and red berries, and some baby's breath, and a piece of oasis, and try to make it look neat. Really not anything exciting.

I love the name of that baby's breath ahhh lovely. l love Ivy when it has those berries on it that look like Elderflower berries.
I really need my behind kicking .I have 4 x bushes of Skimmia Japonica which are just beautiful in flower and would make lovely table decorations for Christmas [hmm

Dentist was fine. Still no fillings (I'm 41!), just advice to use interdental brushes at the back.

I set the table on Christmas Eve this year and I'm really glad I did - it took a good while but it was set properly with flowers (just 2 low vases with red roses) and candles, all the correct glasses and cutlery and I had 3 fairy light cluster thingys hanging down in the middle of table which looked great (even if the stupid Command Strip took a chunk out of the ceiling paintwork).

I bought really lovely fabric fil your own crackers from NOTHS during the year and put a little booze minature in for everyone at Christmas but forgot about them for NY - oh well.

Will you all please stop talking about the dentist!!!! It's too horrible!

These are my crackers, I’m hoping we’ll be able to use them for years. The only thing I missed was that there wasn’t a ‘winner’ when you pull them.

Jen they look as if they have the pattern embroidered on them .They are beautiful you did great getting them. Do you save up and use the empty inner tube from the toilet/kitchen roll in them though do you...... only I would be worried abut ppl washing their hands l have a thing about the inner tubes of the toilet rolls sorry my dear !

Morning! It's the weekend. 😁 Shame DS was a pain last night and I'm knackered before it even starts!

Up early today to do grocery shopping for us and NDN ,waiting for a parcel and then off for a walk ...weather is not that wonderful here today bit cold and damp but walk will shake the cobwebs off us both.

We are having a lazy day today (well, I did 30 minutes on the cross trainer before my shower, but I've been lazy since!). The hairdresser came earlier and cut mine and the kids' hair and now it's Lego-building for the rest of the day!

I went food shopping this morning now we're having a lazy afternoon.

My crown won't stay in place so I've taken it out. Bleurgh.

Really wish it was Dec 1st again - I love the run-up to Xmas.

Forgot to say: I ordered almost all of the DCs' stocking fillers in the dotcomgiftshop.com and Baker Ross sales during the week. It's only small bits, so they aren't going to grow out of them etc. I wouldn't buy their main gifts yet!

Same here, I’m not that fussed about Christmas Day but I love Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. The prep is the most fun. I’ve kept two Christmas mugs to use on Rudolph Days and I think i’ll go & have one of the Betty’s Christmas Biscuits I hid 🎄

Have just come back from a nice walk , it is freezing out there ! BRRRRR.
Yes I love the run up to Christmas it is just wonderful. I can't believe how quickly the month is going though it is madness!
Wreck ...make sure you don't lose the crown! Keep it safe don't swallow it lol!

Arggghhh. Awake early again today. My own fault this time! It's been a rubbish sleep weekend.
