I mean this year!!!

I've just opened my savings account. I'm going to try to just throw money at it for the first 3 months of the year as it'll get tighter after that. If I can save £500 over the next few months I think it'll be enough if I buy less this year (and I need to!).

My really nice new top I got is hand wash only. So annoying.

I'd stick it in a netting laundry bag thingy and wash it in the machine.

I have got a hand wash setting on the machine but I don't want to ruin it! It's 100% wool

I wash hand wash and dry clean only tops on a 30 degree quick cycle all the time.

Just make sure the drum is full so it's not bashing around on its own then leave to drip dry and I'm sure it'll be fine.

I wash everything in the machine I think to hell with it and tbf I think about 95% comes out fine lol!
Don't worry re the shopping for this Christmas.....I vowed I was not going to do it buy in the damn sales and I have doen it already ! DOH!

I resisted buying some crackers in M&S today that were reduced to £7 from £25 but that was mainly because the contents didn't look worth £7 let alone £25!!

I am gutted I forgot to go back to the entrance of Tesco for the crackers reduced to £1 though

I got £2.50 Tesco crackers the other night, down from £10.00. The contents look shit, but the kids will like them!

I bought the M&S crackers (for Christmas) that had something like penguins and polar bears (they were grey and navy)

I used the grey ones on Christmas Eve with white table cover/grey runner/white with silver spot sheer overlayer.
Then on Christmas Day navy cover and silver candleabra to go nice with the navy crackers..............................and FORGOT TO PUT THE BLOODY CRACKERS OUT

So this year - no crackers .

Fluffy I luffed those white and silver crackers you got from Tesco I luffed them so much I coveted them on Tesco direct and they were still 10 quid online!! you had a bargain!

I bought my crackers in Poundland, they weren’t massively pretty but they did the job. I forgot to go and check their sale! I have to go and pick up my wilko order today.

Out for a birthday on Saturday evening, other than that just swimming for wilf and getting out for some fresh air if my hip behaves. Supposed to take gabe swimming this morning but my period is flooding and I feel awful so I will have to miss it.

We all over slept this morning! Nightmare. The bus for the dc will be here soon. Obvs I'm on mn

We're going to Alice holt forest on Sunday as they've got the highway rat trail on.

I filled my own crackers too I got them from Amazon and wrestled my goodies into them (miniature booze or novelty usb sticks), changed the ribbons to match my colour scheme AND THEN DISCOVERED THE HATS AND JOKES IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX. . I had to untie them and try to poke them into the hole. Much huffing and puffing and maybe a bit of swearing later they looked fab even if I do say so myself.

I've got DS' birthday bash this weekend. Just 4 boys for video games and then off to the trampoline centre, pizza for tea and then everyone goes home.

I bought DD's Christmas top and leggings in M&S today. Got it for under £5 when it should've been £19 full price. Pleased with that. Nothing left in DS' size though.

Nothing else left worth buying either. Boo!

I had 2 separate (from 2 different other years) packs of FYO crackers to use this year. I had things to put in them. We never had time to fill them and we didn't buy any either. So we had no crackers for Christmas dinner (mind you - we didn't have flowers either, only candles and napkins managed to get on the table ). Maybe next year I will be more organized..

I found a "finish your craft UFO's" thread and picked up my knitting again - I started a thin scarf to use up the end of a ball of nice wool (Small enough project to work on the train) and have got about 2.5 feet done since starting last night. I also rooted out the lap blanket I started a few years back - I am sure I can find someone who it will be useful for once it's finished, but because they are long rows (each takes about 15 minutes), I need to do it at home on relaxing time. So I'll keep it beside my armchair I think.

My "Christmas Present" arrived yesterday at work - it's due to rain all weekend, but I will try and have a play tonight before the rain arrives!!! We are supposed to be burning paperwork in the log burner outdoors anyway, and DD doing 'smores marshmallows, so it will suit nicely !!!!
